00:00I was worried about you and wanted to hear a phone call from you.
00:03Excuse me, I called you that night, I spoke to you on FaceTime, you hung up on me,
00:08and when I text you, are you okay, where are you?
00:11You know what you do? You text me, you reach out.
00:15Okay.
00:18Virtual reality.
00:21Hi, I'm Danny Murphy.
00:23I'm Evan Real.
00:24And Tamara's back.
00:26Tamara's back. And do you know what? Thank God I missed her.
00:29Yeah. I can't imagine this show without Tamara.
00:31No, and I think Tamara can either.
00:33Yeah.
00:33She's, yeah.
00:34I kind of feel like she needed to, Tamara is actually necessary as this roofie situation
00:40gets bigger and crazier and more convoluted and more confusing.
00:45I kind of feel a lot differently about the situation after watching this episode.
00:50Go on.
00:51But, I mean, real talk.
00:52By the way, let me just back up a second.
00:55Okay, but here's the thing.
00:56Am I saying what really happened, or am I protecting Gretchen right now?
01:00Tell me what really happened.
01:01We'll go from there.
01:01It seems like we now have discovered, well, no, we have discovered, that Katie was apparently
01:09protecting Gretchen in all of this.
01:11And Gretchen, her, the things she's saying are not, they're not matching up.
01:18She's not a woman in step.
01:19No.
01:20It's like, you really have to, and Tamara said, she lies so much she can't keep up with
01:23all the lies, and that's showing, because we're saying different things in scene versus
01:27what we're saying in confessionals, Gretchen Boo.
01:30And then also, Katie's confessional, am I telling you the truth, or am I protecting Gretchen?
01:34Right, exactly.
01:35And so we saw, so it seems like, because this all started, Gina contacted the reporter that
01:41Kiki Monique, I guess, told this to.
01:43Yes.
01:44And Gretchen was like, well, why didn't they contact me?
01:47And Gina's like, because they weren't going to write it.
01:49Right, Gina had to explain what journalism is to Gretchen.
01:52Yeah, she was like, I was more so just talking to someone I know.
01:55Right, so they weren't publishing it, Gretchen, so no one would reach out to you unless they
01:59planned to publish it.
02:00But the thing I keep getting confused about is that credible journalist never reached
02:04out to me to ask me if that was true or not.
02:06No, because they're not going to print the story, because they know it's a lie.
02:09But no one wanted to publish it, because they felt as though you were lying.
02:14And now it's a confusing thing.
02:16Because it seems like you were lying, because Gretchen, what you did was you previously
02:22shared a story that you went to the hospital.
02:25To Jen and Katie.
02:26To Jen and Katie.
02:27Right.
02:28I guess.
02:29But she also did say it in the car.
02:31Yeah, because then Tamara asked her, is there any part of this where what Katie is saying
02:38lines up with what you've told her?
02:40And then Gretchen was like, I did say I went to the hospital, because I was so sick.
02:46Right.
02:46So then that would lead people to assume what Gretchen told Katie and Jen was that after
02:54nakey, wastey, I felt so sick and so drunk, I went to the hospital, I got a toxicology
02:58report.
02:59You're not getting that for a hangover.
03:01Right.
03:01You're checking out to see if you were roofied.
03:03What was happening?
03:04But then in a confessional, Gretchen said, I never did that.
03:07I never went to the hospital.
03:08I felt so sick.
03:09I probably should have gone to the hospital.
03:11What I think happened is she never went to the hospital.
03:13I think she made that up and told Jen and Katie.
03:18And then the implication was, was I roofied by Tamara?
03:22You know what I mean?
03:23And now that it's become a thing and Tamara made it a thing and Tamara was the one to,
03:29I guess, drop the bombshell in front of Gretchen.
03:32She was put in a place of like, oh my God, I never said that.
03:35Wait, what, huh?
03:36And then I think unfortunately for Katie, she was in a place and space of protecting Gretchen.
03:43So then it looked like she was kind of shady in the situation.
03:47I just wish that Katie would have been a bit more upfront.
03:50I wish that she wouldn't have protected Gretchen.
03:52I feel like now that they're no longer friends, she probably looks back on the situation.
03:55It's like, I wish I wouldn't have protected Gretchen.
03:57I wish that what Katie would have said is Gretchen told us she went to the hospital because
04:04she thought there were drugs in her system.
04:06If you think that's a roofie, you think that's a roofie.
04:08Because did Katie ever say roofie?
04:10No.
04:10Tamara said roofie.
04:11We don't know if Katie ever said it or never said it, but I wish she would have cleared
04:15it up earlier.
04:16Seems like we're going to get more clarity on the situation next week because that's
04:20when Kiki Manuki is sitting down with Gretchen and Gina.
04:22And I would assume it's probably for Kiki to be like, yeah, Katie told me that.
04:26And Gretchen's going to be like, what?
04:27See, that's the thing.
04:28I think Gretchen is shown all this.
04:30And somehow Katie's taking the heat.
04:31Katie's taking the blame and Katie's being vilified by all of her castmates.
04:35I honestly really don't get it.
04:38Why is no one upset at Gretchen?
04:39Why would we ever?
04:40I just think historically speaking, there's Gretchen's not the most trustworthy character.
04:48Just from what we've seen on the show.
04:49I don't know you in real life, Gretchen.
04:50I'm just going off of what I've seen on the show and what your castmates say about you
04:53on the show and in interviews.
04:56You know, why, why, why would we trust her over Katie?
04:59Do you think, why would we trust that she wouldn't say that it sounds like something
05:02she would do, especially if we're already putting together the pieces from what we've
05:05seen on this last episode.
05:06Do you think Gretchen really wanted to come back to have a Tamra takedown moment, but
05:10realized she couldn't because that's a very hard ask.
05:13And then was like, ooh, but let me take down someone instead.
05:16Oh, like, or let me try to just like maintain float on water.
05:19I also had this theory that according to me and in my head, I was, I was thinking, did
05:26somehow maybe production push this narrative to bring back Naked Wasted and remind the audience
05:34why Gretchen is important to this franchise?
05:37Because if we didn't look back on that time and recall that time to the audience, maybe
05:42new viewers who have no idea who Gretchen is, would they be like, what the is she doing
05:47here?
05:50Like, I feel like in a way it almost substantiates her place in the group again.
05:52I feel like people who even watch that are still like, what the is she doing here?
05:55Because what is she doing?
05:56Right.
05:56Like, was this sort of like a way to make use of Gretchen being on the show or try and
06:02make sense of Gretchen being on the show?
06:04I mean, I guess she's very tight with Jen.
06:07They are really, it seems like they are really, really friends.
06:09They love making social media content together.
06:12Drinking vodka.
06:13No, she had something Sprite, which really confused me.
06:16What was in the Sprite?
06:17It was what the drink she ordered at the bar.
06:19It's like a vodka Sprite.
06:21It was a Sprite.
06:21I need to look, I need to remember because I remember being like, that's what she orders?
06:25Gretchen ordered a vodka Sprite?
06:26She ordered a, oh, a Grey Goose with Sprite and a lime.
06:30Is that, is that a crazy drink order?
06:33I was kind of like, what?
06:35Wait, why is that?
06:36Well, I'm like, Jen, sorry, I'm like, sorry for taking this.
06:38Jen ordered a dirty martini.
06:40Uh-huh.
06:41Emily ordered an espresso martini.
06:43She got a vodka Sprite with lime?
06:45What does that say to you about Gretchen?
06:47Everything I need to know about her.
06:50Number one being.
06:50Well, also my thing is, Grey Goose with Sprite.
06:53So you're too classy for Tito's, where you're mixing it with a Sprite?
06:58Sprite not classy?
06:59For a cocktail?
07:02I've never heard someone having like a really a Sprite mixed drink.
07:04I also don't drink, so I don't know, but.
07:05Yeah.
07:06Okay.
07:07So, okay, we're hung up on that.
07:09Hung up on that.
07:09Let us know what you think in the comments.
07:10Please.
07:11Because I don't, I mean, I don't know.
07:13A Sprite and a Grey Goose wouldn't be my drinker choice.
07:15I don't drink either, but it wouldn't be my drinker choice.
07:16I didn't think it was a drinker choice for like the Orange County ladies.
07:20Oh, okay.
07:21Well, she's a different kind of Orange County lady.
07:23Would she order that in front of Hedda Dubow?
07:25Maybe not, but I think sometimes in Gretchen's world, it's still between 2008 and 2012.
07:32Tamara would agree.
07:33So maybe that's something that you would order back then, back in the day.
07:36Probably, yes.
07:37She was like feeling, you know, nostalgic when she ordered that.
07:41Or maybe she orders that all the time.
07:42Who knows?
07:43Maybe she had too many Sprite Grey Gooses when she was telling different versions of her story.
07:48Now that is true.
07:49You know.
07:50Now we also have Tamara back in the mix and Heather trying to confront her.
07:57Yeah, they had a nice little sit down.
07:58It was pretty heated at the beginning.
08:00And I did like how Heather had their receipts to be like, no, I did check on you after you left.
08:04Here's you ignoring me.
08:06Yeah, because Tamara was like, oh yeah.
08:08Tamara was like, I was by myself on an island.
08:10Heather's like, hello.
08:12And that's when, and then Heather being like, so before you reached out to me, you went on your podcast.
08:17You're out there talking on social media.
08:19You're doing multiple podcasts talking about this before reaching out to me.
08:23Listen, I'm doing the best I can do.
08:26I'm just at a situation.
08:28By quitting?
08:29I'm just having a quitter.
08:32Then Tamara's like, I'm talking, I'm learning about how my daughter doesn't talk to me.
08:35And Heather's like, well.
08:37Okay, I mean, there was a moment where Heather just kind of gave up.
08:41She was like, Tamara's in such a dark place.
08:43I don't think we have what it takes to really get where we need to go.
08:47So I'm just going to put a bandaid on it for the moment.
08:49Oh, interesting interpretation.
08:50Because I was like, Heather was like, okay, she's playing chess right now.
08:53Oh.
08:54And threw that at me.
08:55So I can't keep on yelling at her in front of the, in the scene.
08:58Oh, interesting.
08:59Okay.
09:00Do you think she was playing chess?
09:01Mm-hmm.
09:02She's a good chess player.
09:03That Tamara judge.
09:04Tam Tam, you know I love hanging out with you.
09:07You're a fabulous chess player.
09:09Yeah.
09:09Because it's like, you quit the show, you stormed out, you weren't treating me well.
09:12I'm unpacking a lot of things and I'm sad.
09:14Mm-hmm.
09:14Which, fair, but where does this scene go from there?
09:18Let's just talk about the hot waiter.
09:19Who was hot?
09:20Oh my God.
09:20He was so hot.
09:21What was his name?
09:22What was his name?
09:22Oh my God.
09:23He was so cute.
09:23I was just thinking of the-
09:24The tans, the arms, the chest.
09:27Oh, and yeah, the way he was serving the tiramisu.
09:30He was so hot.
09:31Oh my God.
09:32What was his name?
09:32Now, we were talking about Miami before that kid with the haircut and that scene with Lisa
09:37tripping over the chair.
09:38Mm-hmm.
09:39Cute, bad haircut, but everything about this guy, perfect.
09:42Mm-hmm.
09:43They gave us a lot of screen time with him.
09:44Yeah, and they knew.
09:45Yeah.
09:46They knew we needed it.
09:47Heather's like, thank you.
09:48I don't know what I'm going to do with this.
09:50But I'm glad that they ended on good terms.
09:52Mm-hmm.
09:53Their friendship is back in action.
09:55And I mean, thank God, because it seems like Tamara's having a tough time with most of
09:58the cast.
09:59Yeah.
09:59Yeah.
10:00She's not really getting along with everyone.
10:02Did you think it was interesting that Shannon revealed that Tamara only asked her to come up
10:09for her room without cameras to talk?
10:10Yeah, that was really interesting.
10:12But do you know what I think that might be?
10:13I think that in some ways there's maybe more, despite the friction that they've experienced
10:21over the past two years, they were friends for so long and like really, really close friends.
10:26And I feel like in some part of Tamara's heart, not that she doesn't trust Heather or appreciate
10:33Heather, but I think that there's just a deeper level there with Shannon from the past that
10:39would make Shannon be the one to be like, let's chat without cameras.
10:44Let's chat.
10:44She's like, no cameras.
10:45I'm on half a Xanax and two champagnes.
10:47And Shannon's like, I'm good.
10:48Yeah.
10:49But I mean, in a way it's kind of a compliment, but also Shannon being like, we're not, we're
10:56not close like that right now anymore.
10:58Sorry, honey.
10:58Yeah.
10:59So I'm honestly Shannon having her boundaries.
11:01So I guess, you know, it's kind of good, I guess.
11:02Yeah.
11:03So I guess Tamara and Heather will be repairing.
11:04I'm curious to see Tamara's first group scene with everybody.
11:08Yeah.
11:08How that'll go.
11:09And then we're going to have the sit down Gina, Gretchen, Kiki.
11:12That'll be very interesting.
11:14Yeah.
11:14I think it's going to be exactly what you predicted.
11:16I think it's going to be Gretchen being like, I never said that.
11:20And then Kiki going to be like, okay, well, what do you want me to do with that?
11:23Yeah.
11:23Like, I wonder how Kiki's going to respond because Kiki, if you guys haven't been keeping up,
11:27Kiki, Monique and Katie, they, they haven't been.
11:30They're rifted.
11:31Yeah.
11:32They're, it's not, it's not good.
11:33Like they, they're very much ops at the moment.
11:35And so if you're ops with Katie, Kiki, how do you feel about Gretchen?
11:41And did Gretchen actually, I mean, we're going to learn more when Kiki actually comes on
11:45the show.
11:45And I hope that we learn more on reality checks for a show.
11:47Oh yes.
11:48I feel we're going to get a full recap there.
11:52Full little breakdown.
11:53And I'm curious for her to ask Dorinda, what would you do in my shoes?
11:56You know what I mean?
11:57I wonder what Dorinda would do in her shoes.
12:00Who even knows?
12:01Imagine Dorinda on the real housewives of orange County.
12:03She'd be heaven.
12:04That would actually be amazing.
12:05That's actually what these girls need.
12:07Sometimes.
12:07Remember when she talked to Tamra, when Tamra and Vicky were at Blue Summit?
12:11Oh, so we kind of saw that.
12:12And Tamra started crying and Dorinda's like, oh, you're crying?
12:15So I think I'm going to start crying.
12:17Because I'm so mad at you.
12:18And Vicky's like, why are you making fun of her?
12:19I don't know if I'm just crying because I'm sad.
12:22Oh my God.
12:23Dorinda would chew those girls up.
12:25Yeah.
12:25So maybe fire up for a weekend.
12:27Yeah.
12:28Yeah.
12:28That would be fun.
12:29All right.
12:29But until then, we'll check into next week.
