00:269-11 Carrera. 34-year-old Christina Chambers went on trial Friday, charged with manslaughter

00:31in connection to the 2023 death of Joseph McMullen. That night, McMullen was on a first date and

00:37he was leaving voodoo donuts in Houston when prosecutors allege that Chambers, who'd been

00:41bar hopping with friends and was four times over the legal alcohol limit, plowed her vehicle

00:47into him. She was also allegedly found with small bags of cocaine on her at the time.

00:51But Chambers' lawyer is singing a different and highfalutin tune, claiming a pair of bougie

00:57heels got stuck as she drove down what he says is one of the most dangerous curves in all of

01:03Houston. The prosecutor, however, argues that McMullen was actually just trying to show off
