00:00It is an opener on the mound for
00:03Gabe Kapler and the Giants 29
00:06year old veteran right hander
00:07Dominic Leone making his first
00:10career start in his eight
00:12seasons in the big leagues the
00:14Giants are his sixth major league
00:15employer and the one two to
00:18Turner is hitting the air out to
00:20right field Mike Yastrzemski's
00:21out there today already a better
00:24start this afternoon than
00:26yesterday's for the Giants.
00:28Here comes Max Muncy.
00:29Muncy has endured a hitless series
00:31here in San Francisco a perennial
00:34giant tormentor the right handed
00:37delivers swing and there's a high
00:39pop up way up there first base
00:41side belt comes in onto the grass
00:43he's got it so Muncy got ahead of
00:46the couch but he pops up two down
00:48in the inning and here comes Mookie
00:50Betts two and two pitch swing and
00:52there's a high fly ball in the
00:54right back a little bit and
00:55toward right center the big part of
00:57the yard Yastrzemski makes the
00:58catch a few feet shy of the
01:00warning track inning over great
01:02first inning for Dominic Leone.
01:05Walker Buehler on the mound for
01:06the Dodgers this afternoon to try
01:08to take two out of three he is the
01:10favorite according to many for
01:12National League Cy Young Award
01:13honors for good reasons the best
01:15C.R.A. in the sport 13 and two most
01:18recently coming off a no decision
01:20Tuesday against Atlanta where he
01:21threw the ball very well his ranks
01:24are terrific across the board and
01:26he has been a real problem for the
01:28Giants not only this year but for
01:29his career the Giants already have
01:32their bullpen busy as La Stella
01:34bounces out with Muncy at first
01:36base now Brandon Belt who's at 20
01:39home runs this year he swings and
01:41he bounced one deep into right
01:42center field way back there still
01:44going
01:44to the big part of the ballpark a
01:51big fly for Belt and the Giants
01:53have jumped ahead against Buehler
01:55won nothing in the first inning
01:57to the deepest part of his outfield
02:07and there's a long ways Belt is one
02:10of the best secondary hitters in
02:12baseball hits the fastball on the
02:15first pitch one to nothing Giants
02:17two down the pitch Wade swings and
02:18he lines one right to Muncy at first
02:21he was playing deep and shaded toward
02:24the line and moved a couple of steps
02:26to his left and made the grab
02:28Giants with a one to nothing lead
02:29but the Dodgers knocking on the door
02:31here in the second the 2-1 line
02:34drive base hit into center field
02:36Turner rounding third on his way
02:39home and just like that the Dodgers
02:41have tied the Giants force you to
02:44strike zone and they punish you a
02:46base hit by Turner walk and an RBI
02:49single is exactly what the Dodgers
02:51do a run in second and third nobody
02:54out and Littell is a striker
02:56away from limiting the damage at a
02:58run the 1-2 pitch
03:00he struck it out a fastball right on
03:04the outside corner bailed high at
03:06ninety five miles an hour and what a
03:09performance by Zach Littell under
03:11Buress the Strutsky sends the ball
03:15to center field Bellinger turned
03:17around a couple of times and has to
03:19play it off the base of the wall
03:21second and third with nobody out in
03:24the Giants half of the second but a
03:26little lazy breaking ball here and
03:28not a good route by Bellinger I
03:30obviously did not see that ball very
03:32well at all Crawford at third Yaz at
03:35second and here now is Steven Duggar
03:37and that's up the line of fair ball it's
03:40going to score them both here comes
03:43Crawford Yazdrewski right on his
03:44heels Duggar lost his helmet he's
03:47chugging into third welcome back to
03:50San Francisco and he has an impact
03:53right now a two-run triple and has
03:56put the Giants back ahead little
03:58cutter right there by Buehler and
04:00comes out of the gates thinking
04:03triple getting triple and Darren
04:05Ruff will hit the infield comes in
04:06in the center field that's going to
04:10bring in Duggar four to one San
04:12Francisco and at bat that really
04:14hurts Buehler because he had him in
04:16a one-two count he was pitching for
04:18the strikeout with the left-handed
04:19hitting Corey Seager scheduled
04:21runners at the corners another giant
04:23pitching change there on their fifth
04:25of the game 3-2 pitch and he lost
04:29him on ball for Perkins Alley dropped
04:32it and I don't know if it was going
04:33to be called a strike anyway that
04:35one was right there an opportunity
04:37for the Dodgers to get right back in
04:39it early down by three bases loaded
04:41two gone and Will Smith the batter he
04:45swings it pops up the first pitch
04:47shallow right you stremsky sprinting
04:49in and he will call off La Stella
04:51and make the catch Gintana gets
04:54through it for the Giants five hits
04:56already Buehler has not been spanked
04:59like this all season he picks on the
05:02first pitch and drives in that run
05:04immediately it's five to one San
05:06Francisco Buehler the last couple of
05:09innings looks like he's well
05:11throwing in a simulated game at 10
05:13o'clock in the morning a hit here
05:15could be huge the Giants have a
05:17five to one lead bottom of the
05:18third looking for more trying to get
05:21greedy against the Dodgers ace the
05:23pitch is lined into left field
05:26softly hit it's going to fall base
05:28hit around third Crawford he's going
05:31to score Kirk to Sally knocks in a
05:34run six to one Giants Kirk to Sally
05:37had been old for his last 17 and
05:40here we go with Will Smith bases
05:42are loaded two gone in a five run
05:45game the next three to home he missed
05:49for ball for Kirk to Sally couldn't
05:51believe it a ninety nine mile an hour
05:54heater that walks in a run and Tony
05:56Randazzo the 22 year veteran says he
06:00missed not sure about that so here
06:02now is Taylor and Taylor is the
06:04possible tying run bases loaded the
06:06two two pitch he struck it out
06:08swinging he ran back at 98 miles an
06:11hour and blew it by him the Dodgers
06:14get only one run out of it so felt
06:17against price with the bases loaded
06:19the Giants with a chance to bury the
06:21Dodgers here belt one for three a
06:23homer in his first at-back hard
06:25ground ball picked up by Muncie near
06:27the line jogs to the bag and the
06:29inning is over price into and out of
06:32trouble full count three balls and two
06:34strikes to Casale Giants looking for
06:37some add-on success in the seventh and
06:39a called strike three taken by Casale to
06:42retire the side no runs no hits two
06:44walks to left the Dodgers down to their
06:47final six outs the approvals keep the
06:50inning going and a fly ball to center
06:53field and deep on its way and gone and
06:57it's a two-run ball game so here is
07:00Justin Turner the veteran swing and a
07:02high fly ball along the right field
07:04line slicing foul Dostrzewski goes all
07:07the way over he reaches up he makes the
07:09catch and the ball game is over and that
07:12first place team will be the San
07:14Francisco Giants
