00:00The robots are taking over and they're doing it with one big middle finger to
00:14humans. Welcome to Weird But True, your mainframe for the strangest stories from
00:18the post. The future is now and at this point you've probably seen humanoid
00:21robots walking around society like an episode of the Jetsons.
00:25Never fear while Rosie's here. How am I gonna explain needing a raise when I've
00:31got a luxury like that monster clanking around? In China they're directing traffic,
00:36playing soccer, and even receiving high school diplomas.
00:44Impressive, but I bet he used ChatGPT to cheat on an essay or two. Well a new bot
00:49has entered the chat. Meet Rizbot, a walkin talkin cowboy hat wearin troublemaker.
00:54This summer he took Austin, Texas by storm, yeeho. The three-foot-tall 77 pound robot
01:00quickly became a viral sensation on TikTok and Instagram. What a little stinker,
01:04literally.
01:12He's also got away with the ladies. One Instagram user commented, robot getting
01:18more action than a lot of dudes. So it makes sense that the machine's name is
01:21derived from Riz in Gen Z speak that's short for charisma. A few weeks ago Rizbot
01:27brought his sass to the streets of New York City. Although he may be overstaying his
01:31welcome. He was full-blown rude to a woman in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
01:35Shut your bitches!
01:36It's no wonder he has to travel with two security guards. So far the developer wishes to remain
01:49anonymous. Go figure. Because Rizbot's snark isn't AI. He's actually being operated by a human using a remote
01:56control from a hidden location. However, Carl Morgenstein, a robotics PhD student at UT Austin,
02:02who worked with Rizbot, shared some intel with KXAN News. The mysterious owner is a former YouTuber
02:09and trained biochemist. His ultimate goal is to have the $50,000 robot breakdance.
02:15We were teaching him some Lady Gaga dances and things like that.
02:18Well, he's definitely a little monster. For more Weed But True stories, be sure to hit the like
