00:57In this detour, teams must choose between beards or birds.

01:03Taipei's night markets are the go-to place to grab a cheap feed.

01:07Teams who choose beards will get their hands sticky making Dragon's Beard Candy.

01:13It's sugar syrup.

01:14Pulled into a ring, then stretched, folded and dipped in cornflour over and over again

01:20until it becomes silky strands.

01:23Once the threads are fine enough, teams must cut lengths, add some filling, then fold them

01:28into 18 bite-sized pieces, all roughly the same size and shape, to receive their next clue.

01:36Teams choosing birds will be served a Taiwanese specialty for dinner.

01:40Duck is a staple of the Taiwanese diet.

01:49And yep, the locals call it stinky too, because it has a pretty intense aroma.
