00:00Which was the first species that humans caused to extinct.

00:05It was our own first cousins, the Neanderthals, 50,000 years back.

00:12That's who we are.

00:14Even when we had no knowledge, no organization, no resources,

00:20we still caused a very intelligent species to disappear.

00:24A species possibly more intelligent than us, the Neanderthals.

00:30Man, by his physical nature, by his biological constitution,

00:37is ugly, cruel, barbaric.

00:46Why will he not destroy the planet?

00:50Especially if you can win a presidential election if you promise to destroy the planet.

00:55We have been fed fancy stories.

00:57We are born good.

00:58And then the society corrupts us.

01:01Some philosopher who probably never went to Vedanta quipped,

01:04man is born free and everywhere he is in chains.

01:06No, we are not born free.

01:08We are born brutes.

01:10What's the definition of a brute?

01:11The one who is born in bondage.

01:13Why do you expect people to be good?

01:15We are not good.

01:16We are killers.

01:16We are violent people.

01:18We wipe entire species out.

01:19In fact, it's pretty rich of someone to say,

01:22Oh no, I met a really good fellow today.

01:24No fellow is really good.

01:26Only a Buddha or a Krishna can be good.

01:29Others are all turncoats.

01:31You will be deceived, disappointed and you will suffer.

01:41Look at the water.
