00:00A man nearby asked her to pose for the camera.
00:04She didn't.
00:05He tried again.
00:06A polite tap, another gesture toward the lens.
00:09Her expression said it all.
00:11A soft but firm no.
00:12Then she started grooving.
00:14And so did the two men beside her.
00:16Before anyone could cheer, the 83-year-old swayed to the rhythm, lifted her arms and took the leap.
00:21Not pushed, not persuaded, but completely on her own.
00:25The jump was India's highest bungee at Shiv Puri in Rishikesh.
00:28And the woman, Olena Boyko from the UK, made it look effortless.
00:33Her leap joins a rare list of global records.
00:35The oldest bungee jumper in the world remains Mohr Keith from South Africa, who jumped at 96.
00:40But how safe is this sport for older people?
00:43The operator told us the minimum age to jump at Shiv Puri is 14.
00:46And there's no upper limit.
00:48What really matters is fitness.
00:50People with heart conditions, high blood pressure, epilepsy, back or neck injuries, osteoporosis,
00:55recent surgeries or pregnancy aren't allowed to jump.
00:59For everyone else, the only real rule is simple.
01:02Jump if your heart says yes.
01:03Just like Olena.
01:07Olena's video has gone viral.
01:09Millions of views and comments pouring in praising her grace, confidence and zero fear.
01:14Some called it the ultimate example of living life to the fullest.
01:17Others joked, finally her parents gave her permission.
01:19Or waiting to be 83 so I can do this too.
