00:03Can you tell me a little bit about what surprised each other about working with each other?
00:08Well, because I didn't know Edie at all.
00:10She's, I mean, well, her character in the show is pretty intense.
00:16I've seen some of her, a lot of her work prior.
00:19How kind and tender, I guess, is, I mean, of course I would assume so,
00:23but, like, she ends up being, like, one of the sweetest, most gentle, gentle girls around.
00:27Like, you wouldn't think that when she plays this gnarly Nina in the show.
00:32Oh, my goodness.
00:33I had not anticipated getting as deep into the scenes as we ended up getting into when you work with someone.
00:42You know, like, in the course of the scene as it kept going,
00:45I realized I was becoming more invested in my character's point of view.
00:49It was great fun and great tension in the scenes,
00:53and you never know when you start a project how that's going to feel.
00:56Right, right.
00:57So I was pleasantly surprised.
00:58And for you, specifically for Mike's storyline,
01:01it's a little more personal this season just because of Kyle's situation.
01:05Do you think that that makes him more reckless when it comes to dealing with Edie's character?
01:09Uh, not more reckless, but certainly desperate.
01:11Uh, that's, it's, it's a big, big sort of thing for him.
01:15A lot, a lot, he was very desperate a lot of the times and very helpless.
01:19That drove him to be desperate and have to make different choices and vulnerable and, uh, sort of defeated in some ways.
01:28Um, because it just feels, um, that you can't protect.
01:32And that's, that's a pretty frustrating feeling for Mike, for a lot of the season.
01:35Yeah, and because the season is so rooted in, like, you know, Kyle's storyline, he, he was inherently good throughout the whole show.
01:43And you kind of see that go away a little bit, I would say, but do you think that by the end of the season, just talking a little more vaguely, that there's any good left in Kingstown overall?
01:52I, I think, you know, the, the what now sort of feeling, um, is there, but there, I think there's, there are, there's lots of hope.
02:00I think there's lots of hope, for sure.
02:02And your character as well goes through a lot in this season and things that you wouldn't, like, viewers don't expect.
02:08What about for Nina? Do you think there's good for her at left?
02:11I think, you know, she's a survivor. She's been through a lot, even having to do this job in this environment.
02:17You know, she's been faced with all kinds of, uh, adversaries.
02:21Uh, so I think she's just having to re-connoiter a little bit, you know, recalibrate, perhaps in a way that she didn't anticipate.
02:28But, uh, I don't see her going down easy, though.
