The Los Angeles Clippers suffered a blowout defeat to the Utah Jazz in their NBA season opener.

00:00We talked about before the game, the defensive mindset, start the game.

00:03You give up 43 points in the first quarter, it's hard to dig out of that hole.

00:08And so 43 in the first quarter, 35 in the second quarter,

00:12defensively our mindset wasn't right.

00:14Offensively, same thing, having eight turnovers in the first quarter,

00:18not playing with space, not understanding what we're looking for, and

00:22then we're not organized.

00:23So I take responsibility for that.

00:27But like I said, defensively we weren't ready to play.

00:29And offensively as well, just not taking care of the basketball,

00:33not knowing what we want to do, not owning our space.

00:37And so we will have those guys playing hard, they cut hard, they play hard.

00:41They know what they're running, they know what they're looking for.

00:43And so they kicked our butt tonight.
