Interview with Cory Michael Smith, Ella Hunt and Lamorne Morris
Transcript
00:00Corey, selfishly, I just want you to keep playing Chevy.
00:02I think you're so amazing at Chevy in that time period.
00:05If you could keep the performance going and do one of his early roles,
00:09which would you remake right now?
00:11Oh, that's a great question.
00:14You know, his very first feature was Foul Play with Goldie Hawn.
00:18And it's a great movie.
00:20I don't know that I'd want to remake it.
00:22It's a pleasure.
00:24But it's really interesting.
00:26As I was studying him and who he was,
00:30one of the things that I had to really look for and pay attention to was
00:34who is the Chevy that's performing and who is the Chevy off screen?
00:38And I was always looking for moments of like nervousness or vulnerability,
00:41most of which I would find in interviews.
00:44But I did notice, you know,
00:46there's a different quality of him in Foul Play than other films.
00:51It's his first feature.
00:52And you can sort of feel him exploring and figuring stuff out.
00:58You know, it's like he's not doing sketch comedy.
01:01He's doing like a proper Hollywood film with a star, with Goldie Hawn.
01:06And I do see moments in like flex in that performance of like,
01:11oh, that's an actor doing his first feature.
01:15I can see that.
01:16And I kind of love that, you know?
01:17But I don't know.
01:19So,
01:20it's being just boring.
01:21Well,
01:22I love you.
01:25I'm not so good to meet times there.
01:27I love that dude.
01:34I love you, man.
