00:00A Northern California Aquarium raised over $2 million for sea otter conservation in just two days after Taylor Swift was seen wearing a vintage Monterey Bay Aquarium t-shirt in her album release party film.
00:13The shirt, originally made in the 1990s, was re-released as part of a special campaign aiming to raise $1.3 million, a nod to Taylor Swift's lucky number 13.
00:24And unsurprisingly, the goal was surpassed in under eight hours.
00:28Fans donated in droves with contributions of $65.13 or more, earning them a reissued otter t-shirt, while sales reached about $100,000 every 15 minutes at peak.
