00:00Hello, my name is Millie Johnson. I'm an author from Barnsley. My new book, Let the Bells Ring
00:08Out, my book 23, is all about seven people who are stranded over Christmas in a train in the
00:17middle of a snowstorm. My Christmas gift to fans with this book is that I hope they will take from
00:23it just to stop, just to enjoy the here and now, just to enjoy the people around them, turn off
00:32their phones, forget the internet even exists, because we don't do it enough. Titles for books
00:38are always either really difficult or really easy. They're either just appear like magic or you're
00:46holding up the printing presses at the end. Now, this one was pretty easy for me because
00:50Let the Bells Ring Out is the third line of I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day and I'd written a
00:56book called I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day a couple of years ago and this is kind of the
01:01sister book to that. I wanted a connection between the two. Different characters but there's definite
01:06crossovers with them, so thank goodness it was in place before I'd even got the story. It was very
01:11weird how this book came about. I just happened to be watching a film where people were on a train,
01:16snowed in, and I thought what nicer environment to be snowed in than on a luxury train. So that's
01:24really, the idea dropped into my lap from heaven. I always like to write about friendship and community
01:31and second chances and even though it's quite an ensemble cast, you can still have a sense of
01:37community. It's really odd how characters appear but the stories just started to grow. It's available
01:45in supermarkets, Blue Waterstones, Independent Bookshops, Book Vault in Barnsley. You can find me
01:51online at milliejohnson.co.uk. Do sign up for my newsletter because that comes out at the beginning
01:59of every month and you'll find out all my latest news on that. Merry Christmas to everybody. I hope
02:05you enjoy it. It's stuffed full of Christmas so I hope you stuff it in somebody else's Christmas stocking.
02:10Especially Merry Christmas to the people who have bought my book.
