00:00A dzień after the brazen robbery at the Louvre Museum,

00:03police are still searching for the four-person commando

00:06behind one of the boldest art heists the world has seen in years.

00:12On Sunday morning, using a truck with a lift,

00:16thieves broke into the Galerie d'Apollon

00:19and smashed two display cases

00:22and escaped with eight priceless jewels linked to Napoleon.

00:27It all lasted just under seven minutes.

00:31Investigators have since recovered tools, gloves and two of the stolen pieces,

00:37one of them the damaged crown of the Empress Eugénie.

00:41A museum representative on the ground told us that the museum

00:45will remain closed to the public all day Monday.

00:49The heist has also drawn strong reactions.

00:53The Justice Minister, Jaël Dalmanin, said that it sends a very negative image of France,

00:59leaving the public feeling robbed.

01:03Concerns about security and staffing are nothing new.

01:07In June, Louvre staff workers went on strike

01:10to denounce the lack of personnel that weakens the museum's security.

01:15A report by France's highest audit institution found that the Denon wing,

01:19home to the Mona Lisa, as well as the targeted gallery,

01:23one in three rooms has no cameras.

01:27The Louvre, already struggling with overcrowding and leaks,

01:31now faces a new challenge of protecting its treasures.
