"Sonic the Hedgehog 3" which has earned a solid review from CinemaBlend and easily sprinted past the competition at the holiday box office this weekend. While it continues the story of the famous speedy hedgehog and his team, there's one particular dance sequence that had me laughing, and director Jeff Fowler told me how they brought it to life --specifically with the help of Jim Carrey.

In "Sonic the Hedgehog 3," Dr. Robotnick (played by Jim Carrey) meets his long-lost grandfather, Professor Gerald Robotnick (also Carrey), and when the two of them don special suits in order to sneak through a laser-filled room, of course, a totally hilarious dance sequence breaks out. I was so enamored by the scene that when I spoke with director Jeff Fowler, I asked him about how it came together.

00:00Robotnik. Oh, my God. So funny in this movie. Loved him. But I have to ask, whose idea was it to have Jim Carrey do that dance scene? Because, like, I was crying. Like, it felt like classic Jim Carrey watching him do that.
00:13Amazing. No, that's that's one of my favorite scenes as well. That idea, the credit goes to Jim. He had done in the first film as that one little scene in his mobile lab where where he puts on the music and does a little dancing and then gets interrupted by Stone.
00:28He in one of our very early conversations on movie three, he said, I want to dance again. And and I said, great.
00:35Like, let's do it. So if we were going to do it again, we were going to go big and double literally double down on the dancing and have, you know, Ivo and Gerald.
00:44They're doing a duo. But it was so much fun to design that to plan it. We had an amazing choreography team.
00:52We had amazing dancers. Everyone just brought their a game and just delivered an amazing sequence.
00:58There's a house then that's always because it's always the closest but they were going to do it.
01:01einfach stale So I came to say that they were just starting when I said that the vince took on the dichotomy,
01:04and at the same time at the same time, I said, like, I did not experiment with myぁ.
01:07And at the same time, we wanted to share it with people, because I thought first of all things that hasn't started.
01:09I think it was very interesting because if there was one of the mistakes that do not trauma and give me back up.
01:11And the rest of it was differently.
01:15Sometimes you got to be a little bit more welcome.
01:17ощ々 it's also a little bit to this kind of stuff that had happened.
01:20What would happen with me about, and guess what happened?
01:22So I wanted to laugh.
