00:00And then one last look right here in the middle.
00:05Both of you over your left shoulder.
00:06Stay in the middle.
00:07Adam and Kristen, in the middle, please.
00:08Stay in the middle with us here.
00:10Over your left shoulder.
00:11Adam and Kristen, right in the middle, together, all four.
00:13And then if you don't mind the two of your right...
00:16Well, my husband says I was born with a horseshoe up my ass.
00:19And then he actually, like, has compiled evidence.
00:23Once we were at an Easter party that our friend's parents put on
00:26and they did, like, an Easter egg hunt for the adults
00:28and the dad was like, there's one golden egg
00:30and it has a $100 bill in it.
00:31And I was like, ooh, we're all in the backyard looking for it.
00:34And I literally tripped over the golden egg.
00:37And my husband was like, well, there you go.
00:40Of course you did.
00:41I don't know.
00:42I go based on my gut.
00:44I use my feels and a little bit of logic.
00:47But when I read something really quickly,
00:49I tend to think that's a good sign.
00:51And I read this script very quickly.
00:53I, like, didn't look up.
00:54I didn't check my phone.
00:55And I was like, oh, there's something here.
00:57And then I just started having feels about it.
01:00I was like, ooh, this could be Adam.
01:01He would be so great.
01:02This would be fun to work on.
01:04I have no idea.
01:06I think that whenever I come back to a character,
01:18I always have more respect for them.
01:20Because they signify something greater than just, like, my work.
01:25Or they signify something to the public.
01:27Like, people are looking forward to Joanne.
01:29And that comes with a lot of responsibility on my part.
01:33But thankfully, when it hits, like, the first season did,
01:37I realized, like, oh, well, what I did the first season
01:40was, like, try to make it 50% me and 50% Aaron
01:43and fuse that together and let's do that again.
01:47But I will say, you're right in thinking that the first episode,
01:52coming back to shooting the second season,
01:54I was like, I don't know what I'm doing.
01:55Is any of this right?
01:56I don't even know what I'm doing.
01:58It feels like the wrong skin.
01:59But then you settle into it.
02:05Season one, you're falling in love.
02:07Season two, you're staying in love.
02:10Is there a difference in acting there,
02:13of falling in love and staying in love?
02:16What's the difference there?
02:17Yeah, well, it's a different set of issues, right?
02:20It's a different set of problems.
02:21Like, there's much more, like, leaning into the doe-eyed looks
02:25and the anticipatory romantic moments in season one.
02:28And Adam and I tried to really, like, elongate all of those.
02:31And I think that's why we, like, aced that test,
02:34is because we were like, let's just make every look
02:36ten times longer than it should be.
02:38And let's make the moves before the kiss
02:41ten times longer than they should be.
02:43So our body is coming together.
02:45We didn't just come together and kiss.
02:46We made it excruciating prior to the kiss
02:50because the buildup is what people want to watch.
02:52Once they're kissing, they're just kissing, right?
02:54And then I think there's so much real life
02:59that happens in the second season
03:00because once you're with someone for a few months,
03:03you realize, like, the habits you might have thought
03:06were really cute might start to annoy you.
03:08And you've got to figure out if you're going to reconcile that
03:11and choose them every day or if you're going to move on.
03:15And that's sort of where they're dealing with.
03:17You know, I think a lot of it's the part.
03:24I mean, you know, I've been working a lot and been a lot of good things,
03:27but this is this kind of part I seem to appeal to people in.
03:32So, you know, when I think about the parts I've had that have really hit for me,
03:39the wider audience, they're not so dissimilar.
03:41So maybe the romantic comedy genre in general.
03:45Yeah, but it's incredibly gratifying.
03:50And I don't know, yeah, I've been doing it a long time.
03:54You realize how rare it is to be in something
03:59that just really connects with the wide audience.
04:01And, you know, that's just, I mean, I want to, you know,
04:07there's a lot of reasons why people act.
04:08But one big one for me is to entertain a large audience if possible.
04:13And so it's very rewarding.
04:26Yeah, I mean, you know, I don't know like how hard we're pushing each other necessarily,
04:30but I think we're, you know, she, I think the feedback, you know,
04:36I think we're both each other's most trusted advisor.
04:39And, you know, and especially in this realm,
04:43I respect her intelligence and her taste and her creative intuition so much.
04:48So she's been a huge help for me in everything I've done since I've been with her.
