00:00I was very, very nervous. I just love it so much.
00:03Paul was feeding himself snacks.
00:05Hello, how are you?
00:06You're making lots of different films. How are you? Exhausted?
00:09A little tired, yeah. I'm all right.
00:11You're a priest for a minute, now you're here.
00:12I know.
00:13How important is it that stories like this, queer stories like this, are on the big screen at a London Film Festival?
00:19Yeah, well, I think, you know, hopefully we continue to make more and more.
00:25I mean, I know tonight we have Pillion as well, which is an incredible movie.
00:30You know, ultimately, everyone should feel seen and be able to go to the cinema and see some sort of representation.
00:42So it's definitely a good thing.
00:44You're very good. And that guy there is pretty good with you as well.
00:47You said you were feeding him snacks off screen. How did that work? Was it physical snack feeding?
00:51I say I was feeding him snacks. I think Paul was feeding himself snacks.
00:54But I was actively encouraging it.
00:56Yeah, there were two particular snacks.
01:00There was a cinnamon crunch biscuit, which we both really like, Nature Valley.
01:05And then there was a Jolly Rancher gummy that we're obsessed with.
01:08You're in New Jersey. It makes sense.
01:09So the singing, were you nervous? And who's a better singer, you or him?
01:12Oh, Paul. No, Paul's a great singer.
01:14I was very, very nervous. And I'm a little shy singing. So it took a bit of encouragement from Paul and the gang.
01:26But no, I loved it. I mean, the truth is, I actually love singing.
01:29And, you know, when I was at drama school, I used to do a lot of kind of collective singing in groups.
01:36And I just love it so much. And it has inspired me. I'd love to join a choir one day. It's one of my ambitions.
01:41You're not the fifth Beatle with a new film then, no?
01:43No, no, no. No. Far from.
01:45You can have a word, can't you?
01:46Yeah. Sorry?
01:46You can have a word with him.
01:47I'll have a word. I'll have a word.
