At least one person has been killed and thousands were without power on Saturday, after a barrage of Russian drones targeted energy facilities across Ukraine overnight.

00:01Thousands were left without power across Ukraine on Saturday after overnight Russian drone strikes hit multiple energy facilities.
00:10Regional authorities in the regions of Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Ulyanovsk reported damage to energy infrastructure that caused blackouts to residents.
00:19The overnight attacks killed one person in Kharkiv, a 58-year-old man, according to the regional head of military administration.
00:27In Zaporizhia, an educational institution caught fire after it was struck by a Russian drone, but there were no reports of deaths or injuries.
00:37More civilian infrastructure was also struck in the Poltava region, damaging several houses as well as vehicles, according to regional authorities.
00:46It has become common for Russian forces to increase attacks on energy infrastructure ahead of the cold winter months,
00:54which Ukrainian officials have denounced as weaponizing winter.
