00:01We're entering one of the most secure military bases in the United States.

00:07This is the flight line of Whiteman Air Force Base.

00:10B-2 bombers, each carrying a crew of two,

00:13flew 36 hours round trip to hit Iranian nuclear sites in Operation Midnight Hammer.

00:20The B-2 was over enemy territory for less than a half hour.

00:24This is one of the bombers that flew the mission, the spirit of California.

00:29The attack on Iran involved multiple 30,000-pound GBU-57s.

00:35This is the first time we're getting a close look at the massive ordnance penetrator.

00:40This is the GBU-57 that was designed for this mission, for this aircraft.

00:45The B-2 is the only one that can carry it.

00:47That's a big bomb.

00:48It is.

00:49Colonel Jared Kennish heads the National Guard's 131st Bomb Wing, which also flew in the mission.

00:55So those are the fins that guide the weapon to its target.

00:59So once it drops from the aircraft, those will pop out.

01:02Fourteen pilots flew the raid, but it took much more than that to be successful.

01:07There's 4,000 total force airmen across hundreds of specialties.

01:10So when you look at a complex global mission, all 4,000 of those people are working in unison, in secrecy, to make the mission happen.

01:17We're going to look at the mission.

01:18So many of them have a big, big, big way to the mission happen.
