A scenic coastal walk turned into an open-air gallery that stretches from Bondi to Tamarama.

Sculpture by the Sea makes art accessible for all.
00:12
We love the audience here too because they're often people who don't typically go to art
00:17
galleries so that's important for us, that idea of demystifying art.

James Rogers, who's been part of the exhibition since day one, took home the $70,000 prize

for his sculpture, Siren Song.
00:30
It's an event that's expected to draw almost half a million people, but it was almost cancelled
00:35
due to a $200,000 shortfall.
00:38

00:44
over, with the arts sector continuing to face funding pressures.
00:47

00:51
challenge still.
00:52

01:14
and enjoy this fantastic coastline.
01:15
A much loved spectacle with a future in troubled waters.
01:20
Are you there?
