A dispute over the return of dead hostages threatens to derail the US-mediated ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Israel says it is preparing to reopen Gaza’s Rafah crossing with Egypt to let Palestinians in and out of the territory. However no date has been set as it trades blame with Hamas over violations of the ceasefire.

00:22the bodies of 19 hostages. The Islamist faction had already returned 10 bodies but Israel says
00:27one of them was not a hostage. Hamas explains returning the bodies may take time as some
00:32were buried in tunnels and ruins that Israel had bombed. Meanwhile, Hamas accuses Israel
00:37of violating the ceasefire by killing at least 24 people since last week.
