00:06Malaysia has launched the National Export Awards, NEA,
00:09a new initiative to honour leading Malaysian exporters,
00:13driving the nation's growth on the global stage.
00:16Organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation,
00:20MarTrade, with Star Media Group as its strategic partner and event organiser,
00:24the soft launch of NEA 2025 was held at MarTrade on Friday.
00:31Held under the theme Honouring Excellence Powering Global Trade,
00:35the NEA celebrates Malaysia's export leadership not only as a marker of commercial success,
00:41but also as a catalyst for sustainable growth and national influence.
00:45Speaking at the launch, MarTrade Chairman Datuk Sri Rizal Merikan Nainah Merikan
00:50said the NEA is more than just an award,
00:53describing it as a platform to elevate Malaysia's position as a leading exporting nation.

01:22who have gone to be recognised globally at international forum,
01:31and who have been accepted.
01:34And not just that, some of them even have had home-groomed products and brand
01:41that have been recognised internationally.
01:43He noted that exports are the lifeblood of Malaysia's development,
01:48adding that the nation currently ranks 24th in global trade and 25th in exports.
01:54Malaysia recorded RM1.51 trillion in exports in 2024,
01:59led by the electrical and electronics, petroleum and palm oil sectors.

03:13termasuk tahun ini tahun keempat,
03:16kita berjaya memecah RM1 trillion dalam soal ekspor kita.

03:26said winners would receive incentives,
03:29with details to be announced later.
03:31The NEA will honour 21 top exporters across seven categories,
03:36spanning large corporations,
03:38mid-tier companies,
03:39multinationals,
03:40and SMEs.
03:42It will also recognise nine strategic partners
03:44from the public, private, and industry sectors.
03:48Participants will be assessed beyond export figures,
03:51with emphasis on innovation,
03:53sustainability,
03:54social impact,
03:55and commitment to Malaysia's export ecosystem.
03:59The process will be independently audited by BDO Malaysia
04:02to ensure transparency.
04:05The award ceremony will take place on December 5th
04:08at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre,
04:11MYTEK,
04:12and will be graced by Prime Minister Datuk Shri Anwar Ibrahim.
