00:00so first of all what drew you to decide to direct this story and also what made you want to work

00:25with ethan hawk again after so long since boyhood i know um yeah ethan and i realized we hadn't really

00:31worked together in 10 years but we kind of had we've been developing this you know we've been

00:36working on this over 10 years so it was something we knew we'd do someday and uh yeah we were lucky

00:42we really rallied around this character of loren's heart on this kind of crazy night in his life where

00:49his partner has moved on without him so you know i always called this film a little howl into the

00:54night from an artist who's being left behind not only by his partner but the times are changing

00:59you know so it's kind of uh you know it's funny but it's also kind of sad
