00:00:00I
00:02:30You write yourself a sad song, sing it loud, write a song of many summer's past.
00:02:39But now you wrap your feet in plastic bags and lock the doors to keep the cold out.
00:02:49The rain is pouring down on autumn leaves.
00:02:55Whoa.
00:02:56Are we waiting for the snow to come to block us in again?
00:03:06The frost is forming on your pretty face.
00:03:11From the cold outside there is no escape.
00:03:18The rain is pouring down on autumn leaves.
00:03:23The rain is pouring down on autumn leaves.
00:03:30You and your long brown hair are cut up on the couch lying next to me.
00:03:38You didn't have to stay and I'm glad you did.
00:03:46But if the comet's fall from the sky, I don't know how I could pay you back.

00:15:41forever. Amen.
00:15:44I'm so sorry for your loss, Joe. Yeah, it's been a sad day.
00:16:01You look good. How's that book I gave you?
00:16:05It helps, yeah. Not there yet. You know, it's good to read about the social anxiety and things.
00:16:13Come by my house this week. I've got another one for you. It's basically people with social
00:16:20anxiety talking about their experiences, problems, how they fight back. It doesn't offer any concrete
00:16:28solutions, but sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone.
00:16:31Yeah, I'd like that. And how are those three exercises I gave you coming along?
00:16:39Ah. Brave choice. I feel like the world's biggest muppet. And has anything negative happened?
00:16:53No.
00:16:54Exactly.
00:16:56It's your little secret the rest of the world doesn't need to know. That can be empowering
00:17:01to a person. What about the other two?
00:17:07Bought a pet. I talk to her sometimes. You know, helps me from sliding.
00:17:15Out of curiosity, a dog, cat?
00:17:18Bunny.
00:17:20Interesting.
00:17:23And the last one?
00:17:26Not there yet.
00:17:28Well, that is the toughest one.
00:17:30But it's also the most important.
00:17:33Please, do try.
00:17:34I am Dr. Rowland.
00:17:37Joe, I've known you since school.
00:17:39Please, call me James.
00:17:40James.
00:17:40James.
00:17:49Look after him.
00:17:52I'll try.
00:17:55Sorry for your loss, Joe.
00:18:19I wish we could have met my sister.
00:18:26She'll scare her the first time you've met her.
00:18:31I'll get used to it.
00:18:42We have entrusted this child's death to God's message,
00:18:46and we now can move her body to death.
00:18:50He looks like he's coming back.
00:18:54Joe!
00:18:56Joe!
00:18:58Joe!
00:19:16He looks like he's coming.
00:19:17He looks like he's coming.
00:19:19He looks like a big girl.
00:19:20He looks like a big girl.
00:19:22Hi, Joe!
00:19:23His name is Joe!
00:19:24He looks like it's just like a big boy to live.
00:19:26He looks like a big girl.
00:19:27He looks like a big girl.
00:19:28I'm not going to be right here.
00:19:29I'm not going to tell you about it.
00:19:30And I'm going to tell you what's gonna do.
00:19:32You can do it.
00:19:33I'm sorry I get into the ambience.
00:19:34I'll tell you what's gonna do.
00:19:35I've never heard of.
00:19:36I don't think it's got to be found.
00:20:06I'm Dr James Rowland. You might have seen me around the school and not really known
00:20:26who I am. I'm the school counsellor. So I'm just here for any students who are
00:20:35feeling stressed or if they want to come and talk about anything really. So the
00:20:44headmistress was a little bit concerned that you might be feeling upset about
00:20:49burying your sister yesterday? I guess. You guess? I didn't get to know her. She's not
00:20:58really my sister. Of course she is but I do understand what you mean. She passed
00:21:05away quite a while before you were born didn't she? It must be a confusing time
00:21:10for you. Look our emotions can take a while to bleed through but they are there
00:21:20all the same. You look a bit tired didn't you sleep last night? I had a lot on my mind.
00:21:31Penny for your thoughts? No that's all right I understand. Thoughts are massive things aren't they? We're thinking all the time it's hard to share that. It's impossible. So
00:21:48we'll try something else. I want you to try and give me just an emotion. So last night I couldn't sleep because I was feeling
00:22:03scared. You know just like a one word emotion. So I was feeling angry or I was feeling sad or I was feeling
00:22:15scared. I was feeling scared. Why were you feeling scared Jay? I've never had a sister
00:22:24before. That frightens me. So having a sister shouldn't be scary. It's wonderful. You
00:22:39shouldn't be scared of that. Look um it's going to be a trying time the next few weeks
00:22:47maybe longer. So if you need to talk to anyone you can come and find me yeah?

00:33:07This is the third time this month this has happened. I'm going to have to call the landlord. Oh, I'm Faith, by the way. Seems funny that we've lived next to each other for this long and we don't know each other's names.
00:33:19Oh, huge.
00:33:21Oh, huge. Hughes. Joe Hughes. Hi. So, anyway, I need to call a locksmith and I can't really do it from out here, so could I just...
00:33:33No, not the flat.
00:33:35All right.
00:33:37Hope it is then.
00:33:39Like Star Joe.
00:33:41Like Star Joe.
00:33:43Like Star Joe.
00:33:45I'm going to need to call a lock.
00:33:47I can't really do it.
00:33:49I can't really do it.
00:33:51I can't really do it.
00:33:53I can't really do it.
00:33:55I can't really do it.
00:33:57Excuse me?
00:34:24There you are, I thought you'd done a runner.
00:34:29Chloe!
00:34:30I see you finally managed to escape the boyfriend.
00:34:32He's busy with himself from work so I've decided to hunt down a gin and tonic.
00:34:36Who's this?
00:34:37No one.
00:34:38Hi there, what can I get you?
00:34:40I'll have the usual, so an otter's pocket.
00:34:42Joe, what can I get you?
00:34:44Yeah, I'll have an otter's pocket too.
00:34:45Okay, no problem.
00:34:54How do you find living by yourself then?
00:35:11Yeah, it's good I suppose.
00:35:13I never thought that I'd be living alone at my age.
00:35:16The plan was that I was supposed to be without me parents at the same time as me boyfriend.
00:35:20Well, ex-boyfriend.
00:35:22But he chickened out, decided to spend all his money on a sports car.
00:35:26You know how it is, men and their toys.
00:35:29I don't drive.
00:35:30It's alright, I suppose.
00:35:32I've got a steady job, but rent and bills do suck most of that away.
00:35:36I don't have a lot of spare cash for trips to the pub, for instance.
00:35:41I don't spend much.
00:35:43Only for you.
00:35:45I buy a big bag of pasta at the beginning of the month, and then I buy the sauces when I'm on a deal,
00:35:50and I just cook them up whenever I feel like I want the food.
00:35:53Are you wearing odd socks?
00:35:55Yeah, I just...
00:35:57Are they Crash Bandicoot?
00:35:59I don't really know, I just like the colours.
00:36:02And there were me thinking that you were a fashionable look.
00:36:06Now, I saw you in a suit three days ago.
00:36:08That was very sharp.
00:36:10It's my mum's funeral.
00:36:12Oh.
00:36:21Wow, you are a parallel ass in the conversation department.
00:36:26It's been a while since I've loved.
00:36:31Yeah, living alone will do that to you.
00:36:34Hey, we should do some more stuff together.
00:36:37You know, try and battle the loneliness.
00:36:40Yeah, I'd like that.
00:36:42I don't really have no friends.
00:36:44My sister, but yeah.
00:36:46Let me guess, you died as well?
00:36:50Yeah, not really good at this conversation thing, am I?
00:36:54She's called Jazz.
00:36:59She was special.
00:37:01She's been through a lot, you know.
00:37:05I tried to help her out.
00:37:07I took my parents' psychology book.
00:37:10But, you know, try to help like a brother does.
00:37:14That's what family is, isn't it?
00:37:17Try to help each other.
00:37:19I haven't brought you flowers this time.
00:37:42I didn't know I was coming back again this week.
00:37:53I love Joe, but he's not you.
00:37:59He could never be you.
00:38:04You're my bunny.
00:38:06You must be so lonely.
00:38:15Jazz is back.
00:38:28Joe, you put the memory of your sister to rest.
00:38:31I know I did, but I saw her again.
00:38:34But she was different.
00:38:35She changed.
00:38:37Was she older?
00:38:39No, she was the same age, but there was something.
00:38:42Look, Joe.
00:38:44Take your time.
00:38:45There's no rush.
00:38:46Why has this always got to happen to me?
00:38:48Why has it happened to me again?
00:38:50Is it because my mother died?
00:38:52Is it to do with death?
00:38:53Last time Jazz came to you, your life was in turmoil.
00:38:58Therefore, theoretically, her appearance must be something to do with something that's going on in your life right now.
00:39:09Are you all right, Joe?
00:39:11Me?
00:39:12Yeah, yeah, I'm fine.
00:39:15I'll be doing the tasks that you told me to do.
00:39:18Odd socks and the speaker to my rabbit.
00:39:22How's your relationship with your father?
00:39:24My father's fine.
00:39:26Joe, avoiding questions doesn't help me help you.
00:39:30My father's my father, enough said.
00:39:32We've talked about your relationship with your parents before, Joe.
00:39:38How they were so consumed with the loss of their daughter that they neglected to nurture their other child, you.
00:39:46You were born of grief.
00:39:50Tragically, you spent the first few years of your life as a victim of their grief.
00:39:55We've also talked about the fact that I think this is the cause of your social anxiety.
00:39:59That lack of healthy social interaction as a young boy.
00:40:04My childhood was fine.
00:40:10Joe, could you name the happiest moment of your childhood?
00:40:15I don't know.
00:40:17Probably something silly like playing with my train set or buying the first action figure.
00:40:24And do either of these memories involve your parents?
00:40:29What about the jewellery box, Joe?
00:40:46The one you told me about a few sessions ago?
00:40:50What about it?
00:40:51When you told me the contents of that box, don't you think that's something worth mentioning to your father?
00:40:59Perhaps the guilt of not sharing it with your mother is what's exacerbating your anxiety.
00:41:06Perhaps now it's time to share that with your father.
00:41:09Tell me.
00:41:12Do you believe I saw my sister's ghost?
00:41:15Joe, I...
00:41:16My father doesn't.
00:41:18I told my parents and they believed me to a certain extent, but...
00:41:22I think that was them more just wanting to believe it was true.
00:41:25But time wore on, they got fed up and put it down to childhood fantasy.
00:41:30But she was there. She was real. She was right there.
00:41:38You don't believe me, do you?
00:41:41Joe, I... I believe when you needed her most, Jazz came to you.
00:41:46That's sitting on the fence, Dr. Redden. That's cheating.
00:41:50What about the third exercise?
00:41:52I'm not there yet.
00:41:54I think you are. Just one more push. That's all you need.
00:41:58I appreciate the effort, but...
00:42:00Look, Joe, when you first came to me and were ready to accept that you're suffering from severe social anxiety,
00:42:07I gave you three exercises. Now, you've done brilliantly with the first two.
00:42:12But the third one, finally, just to ask three strangers a day at a time,
00:42:18to walk up to three people that you've never met before and just ask them that question.
00:42:25There is this one guy, he...
00:42:29He dresses kind of smart. He stands outside my flat. I pass him quite a lot.
00:42:34I don't know his name, but...
00:42:37I feel connected to him, you know?
00:42:40I thought it might be easier that way, but...
00:42:43I freeze. The words, they just don't come out.
00:42:46I've spoken to a ghost and I can't ask for the bloody time. It's ridiculous.
00:42:52I may not believe in ghosts, Joe, but I believe in you. One stranger.
00:42:58One stranger.
00:43:01Well, good afternoon, Mrs Hughes. Please, have a seat.
00:43:04A cup of coffee?
00:43:07Well, thanks for coming in today, Mrs Hughes. I wanted to have a little chat about Joe.
00:43:15Go on.
00:43:16Yes, well, I'm a bit worried about his lack of concentration at the moment and how that might affect his studies.
00:43:25His mind seems elsewhere. His homework sort of seems to be very rushed. He's not really engaging with the other kids anymore.
00:43:34I can't escape the feeling that his mind's elsewhere, really.
00:43:46He does buried his sister. What do you expect?
00:43:48Of course. I've been having a look at his record and I see that he's usually sort of top of the class, way above average, in fact.
00:44:02But as there is such a clear drop in his concentration, it's sort of become my job to address that.
00:44:07But obviously there's only so much I can do from here, which is why I've invited you in.
00:44:12And I hope that we, along with Mr Hughes, of course, could come up with a plan moving forward to kind of help Joe get back on track, really.
00:44:22Isn't that your job, Mr Rowland?
00:44:25Well, I like to think that making sure Joe is OK is both of our jobs, really, Mrs Hughes.
00:44:31I don't have time for this. I'm grieving.
00:44:34So is your son.
00:44:35Grieving.
00:44:37What does he have to grieve for?
00:44:40He didn't even know Jasmine. He didn't give her a moment's thought until the funeral.
00:44:45I am the one who's grieving.
00:44:47I understand that, Mrs Hughes.
00:44:50Understand?
00:44:54How can you possibly understand?
00:44:57Have you lost your baby girl?
00:45:01Had her taken from you for 15 years?
00:45:0515 years?
00:45:0615 years?
00:45:07I can't even look my husband in the eyes anymore.
00:45:12What without thinking about what we've lost?
00:45:17What we've been through?
00:45:19And now, just as I start to pull myself together, they find her body.
00:45:29Her little, broken body.
00:45:33So tell me, Mr Rowland, how can you possibly understand?
00:45:37Caroline.
00:45:38Don't you dare call me Caroline!
00:45:40I don't need you to understand.
00:45:44I don't need you to understand.
00:45:46I don't need to talk.
00:45:49I don't need some overpaid therapist to patronise me with a smile he learned at some college somewhere.
00:45:54I just need some space.
00:45:57I just need the world to leave me alone for two minutes!
00:46:06I came here today because I assumed you could help me.
00:46:11I see now that is clearly not the case.
00:46:16Goodbye, Mr Rowland.
00:46:17Heavy reading.
00:46:42I didn't have you down as a psychology fan, Joe.
00:46:45But I feel I have to warn you.
00:46:47The pay is pretty awful.
00:46:51I've seen that expression before a few times in my career.
00:46:55It usually comes with a person who's looking for answers.
00:46:58What answers are you looking for, Joe?
00:47:02How do you get over death?
00:47:08That's not a particularly easy question.
00:47:12I'm not sure there's an easy way to get over death.
00:47:18I want to. I have a friend and they are also struggling to get over Jasmine's death.
00:47:28Just when I think it's getting better, it gets even harder.
00:47:32I just want that person to stop hurting.
00:47:37Some people say that moving on is like a easy, gentle stroll downhill.
00:47:44That it gets easier and easier every day and then one day you wake up and that person isn't dead anymore.
00:47:50They're just a pleasant memory, but I don't think that's true.
00:47:56I think grieving is more up and down, back and forth, a bit like a ship lost at sea.
00:48:02And just when you think you're on the right track, you get blown off course by some massive tidal wave full of confusion and doubt.
00:48:12I think it's got to be one of the most frustrating, hurtful things a person can go through.
00:48:18The loss of a loved one.
00:48:19But just try and remember that there are calmer waters ahead. You just have to be patient.
00:48:27How can I help my friend?
00:48:29Your friend?
00:48:31Well, just be there for them.
00:48:35It's not about fixing people. It's about giving them some space and a way to grieve.
00:48:40I read that visiting the place they died might help.
00:48:45Some people say that helps them get closure.
00:48:49Are you looking for answers, Jo?
00:48:52I don't want to be afraid of what I might find.
00:48:55Yeah. Well, it can help to face the unknown head on.
00:49:00But just remember, mourning, it finds its own pace. Don't rush the grieving.
00:49:05And try not to focus too much on her death. Think about her life, too.
00:49:12Well, Jo, I'm here if you need to talk to me.
00:49:16So maybe on Monday morning when you're back at school, come and find me.
00:49:19We've got a lot to talk about.
00:49:21Thank you, Mr. Rowland.
00:49:23Don't thank me. Looks like you did all the heavy reading.
00:49:25We've got a lot of heavy reading.
00:49:56Jasmine, I'm glad you came back.
00:50:02I've been thinking about you.
00:50:04Why are you still here?
00:50:06Why you haven't moved on?
00:50:08Your body died, but your mind hasn't accepted it yet.
00:50:12It's all here.
00:50:14Counselling the loss of loved ones.
00:50:17In your case, yourself.
00:50:19You need to accept that you've died.
00:50:20Only then can you move on to whatever's next.
00:50:23Don't you dare leave me again.
00:50:28You asked for my help, and I am helping you.
00:50:32But you need to stop running away.
00:50:34You need to stay here and listen to me.
00:50:39Running away.
00:50:41That's why you haven't been able to move on.
00:50:44It's all here. Counselling.
00:50:46When people die, some people don't accept it.
00:50:49You need to come to terms with what has happened.
00:50:54Talk to me, Jasmine.
00:50:56I'm trying to help you, but you need to start telling me about that day.
00:51:00Just talk to me. Anything. Anything at all.
00:51:11Jasmine, I...
00:51:13Jasmine, it's not like you were chosen.
00:51:15It doesn't work like that.
00:51:29Jasmin. I...
00:51:30Jasmine, it's not like you were chosen.
00:51:32It doesn't work like that.
00:51:36Jasmine.
00:51:38I think you're asking the wrong questions.
00:51:54It's not a case of...
00:51:59No Jasmine, it was not your fault.
00:52:08You haven't done anything wrong.
00:52:10It's not a case of who.
00:52:12You didn't deserve to die.
00:52:14You didn't die because you did something wrong.
00:52:17This is not a punishment.
00:52:19It just happened.
00:52:21I know it's not fair.
00:52:23But it's not about fair.
00:52:25You're so caught up on asking about what you did.
00:52:28But it's not about that.
00:52:30It just happened.
00:52:32You need to let go of the anger.
00:52:34Move on.
00:52:38There is a way.
00:52:47I read about it in one of these books.
00:52:50There's a chapter here somewhere.
00:52:56A lot of the time the submerged memories are the reason the bereaved can't move on.
00:53:07They don't know what happened so there is no sense of closure.
00:53:11They need to understand what happened.
00:53:14Your anger.
00:53:15Your frustration.
00:53:16It comes from a lack of understanding.
00:53:20We need to go back to the place you died.
00:53:23Only then can you truly find peace.
00:53:25The place you were buried.
00:53:27Milton Woods.
00:53:28We can go there tonight.
00:53:30Your murder must have been in that radius.
00:53:33We can find answers.
00:53:35I know it's scary.
00:53:36I know it's scary.
00:53:37And I know it's difficult.
00:53:38But moving on is supposed to be scary.
00:53:41We don't understand it.
00:53:43And that scares you.
00:53:44Right now you are here.
00:53:46You are here with me.
00:53:48And it's good.
00:53:50I like spending my nights with you.
00:53:52I like having a sister.
00:53:54But deep down we both know it's not enough.
00:53:57You are empty inside.
00:53:59You need to move on.
00:54:09Jazz.
00:54:10It's the only way.
00:54:12You need to come with me.
00:54:13You need to come to the place you died.
00:54:27I like you.
00:54:28What?
00:54:29I like you.
00:54:30I've never liked anyone.
00:54:31I've never even spoken to a person, let alone a girl.
00:54:34Dr. Rowling said I should speak to a stranger.
00:54:35But I don't want to speak to a stranger.
00:54:36I want to speak to you.
00:54:37Well, Joe.
00:54:38Slow.
00:54:39Slow.
00:54:40Slow.
00:54:41Slow.
00:54:42Slow.
00:54:43Slow.
00:54:44Slow.
00:54:45Slow.
00:54:46Slow.
00:54:47Slow.
00:54:48Slow.
00:54:50Slow.
00:54:51Slow.
00:54:52Slow.
00:54:53Slow.
00:54:54Slow.
00:54:55Slow.
00:54:56Slow.
00:54:57Slow.
00:54:58Slow.
00:54:59Slow.
00:55:00Slow.
00:55:01Slow.
00:55:02Slow.
00:55:03Slow.
00:55:04Slow down.
00:55:05I see my sister's ghost.
00:55:06She comes to me.
00:55:07She thought she was to blame for her death.
00:55:09But I tried to help her.
00:55:10I tried.
00:55:11I thought I had.
00:55:12Joe, I don't think you're very well.
00:55:13Come with me.
00:55:14She'll love to meet you.
00:55:15Joe, I'm sorry.
00:55:16I don't think you should come here anymore.
00:55:17Faye!
00:55:18Stop doing that!
00:55:48After last night, it was too much, and I'm sorry, so tonight I thought we could be brother
00:55:57and sister for a bit.
00:56:00Bourbon?
00:56:01How much fun is too much?
00:56:22Too much is never enough How much fun is too much?
00:56:29How much fun is too much?
00:56:36Too much is never enough
00:56:39It's never enough
00:56:45It's never enough
00:56:49How much fun is too much?
00:57:08How much fun is too much?
00:57:12How much fun is too much fun?
00:58:041, 2, 3, 4

00:59:36Why, what's he doing?
00:59:41He's just outside.
00:59:44He's talking to himself.
00:59:47There's probably nothing.
00:59:48I just...
00:59:50can't help but worry.
00:59:53He must be going through so much right now.
00:59:58He never even knew Jasmine.
01:00:01And now he's expected to grieve for her.
01:00:06I don't even know what that does to a child of that age.
01:00:14Should I go out there?
01:00:19Be with him?
01:00:24We have to let him have his space.
01:00:31I know.
01:00:34I know.
01:00:36I just...
01:00:38I don't like leaving him alone.
01:00:46Have a coffee.
01:00:50Yeah.
01:00:52Thanks.
01:00:53What about Spider-Man?
01:01:05Did you have Spider-Man back when you were around?
01:01:08Because he's my favourite.
01:01:10The cartoon is so funny.
01:01:12I'd watch it all day if mum let me.
01:01:17Everyone at school thinks Venom is the best baddie.
01:01:19Do you know Venom?
01:01:21He's like Spider-Man but black and smiley.
01:01:24He has these really big scary teeth and really strong.
01:01:27Everyone thinks he's the best baddie.
01:01:29Everyone thinks he's the best baddie.
01:01:30But me, I prefer the lizard.
01:01:33Well, he's like a lizard and looks like a dinosaur.
01:01:36Do you know dinosaurs?
01:01:38You're a girl so you probably like brontosauruses.
01:01:42All girls like brontosauruses.
01:01:44They're the ones with really long necks.
01:01:47Why are you smiling?
01:01:50You look stupid when you smile.
01:01:54I wish I had a sister like you growing up.
01:02:07I promise you, whatever it is you need, I'm going to find it and I'm going to help you
01:02:13get better.
01:02:24Good night, Dennis.
01:02:39Good night.
01:02:41Good night.
01:02:43Good night.
01:03:13Good night.
01:03:30Good night.
01:03:32Good night.
01:03:37Good afternoon.
01:06:42From jazz, something to remember.
01:06:46I never did get to tell her how much that meant to me.
01:06:50When you told us about the ghost thing, your mother, she never really moved on.
01:07:10And I wanted to make her happy, and the bracelet, it helped me, so I thought, well, it might
01:07:20help her.
01:07:21And one day before work, she couldn't bear it, but she couldn't bear it, and I think it brought
01:07:36up too many old wounds, I was just trying to make her happy.
01:07:47I don't know how.
01:07:59What I'm trying to say is that sometimes I think I'm doing the right thing, but in actual fact,
01:08:08I'm just making things worse.
01:08:10I just wanted you to understand that.
01:08:12I just wanted you to understand that.
01:08:14You know, Mum was a right piece of work.
01:08:18What?
01:08:19She was a horrible, foul, despicable woman.
01:08:23Jazz deserved a hundred times better than the likes of her.
01:08:26Your mother was...
01:08:30She was what, huh?
01:08:31She was what?
01:08:32A kind, loving woman, a wonderful wife, a great mother?
01:08:35Yeah, I was at the funeral.
01:08:36I heard the lies.
01:08:38How can you stand there and insult the woman that raised you?
01:08:41Raised me?
01:08:43She did a lot of things, but raising me wasn't one of them.
01:08:47She died when Jazz died.
01:08:49She'd been dead for years.
01:08:52She couldn't even bring herself to love me.
01:08:54Her son.
01:08:55Or you.
01:08:56Your mother loved us both very much.
01:09:00Grow up!
01:09:01You two were too busy wallowing in your pain to love me.
01:09:07You just sent me off to school.
01:09:10Where was the love, hmm?
01:09:12Where was the trips to the beach, to the park?
01:09:16And they just locked me in a room with some toys.
01:09:18No wonder why Jazz appeared to a brother she'd never met.
01:09:21Rather than the two piece of wasted space.
01:09:23Look at you.
01:09:32Look at you.
01:09:33Pathetic.
01:09:34Jasmine!
01:09:34Just...
01:09:35Please don't go.
01:09:41No, just...
01:09:41Please don't go.
01:09:43Jasmine. Jasmine. No, please don't go. You're all I have left. There's no one else. Jasmine.
01:10:13Jasmine. Jasmine.
01:10:43Jasmine. I'm your brother Joe. I never had a sister. I was at your funeral. You're all I have.
01:11:11It's a fear of frustration. It comes from a lack of understanding. I promise you, whatever it is you need, I'm going to find it and I'm going to help you get better.
01:11:21Jasmine. Jasmine. Jasmine. I'm so sorry. This is the only way. You need this Jasmine.
01:11:38Jasmine. You're scared. And I understand that. I'll be scared too. But I don't know how else to help you.
01:11:47Jasmine. Jasmine. Please. Your body was found just up here. We are close to the crime scene.
01:12:07Everything we've been working for the last few weeks has been leading up to this. You need to come to terms with what has happened.
01:12:16I'm right here. I'm always right here.
01:12:41I'm right here.
01:12:50I'm right here. Sometimes we haven't done yet.
01:12:56I don't know.
01:13:26I don't know.
01:13:56I didn't need to see my sister die.
01:14:00That was for her to see, for her to get over what happened.
01:14:07I was a few feet away from her and I wasn't scared.
01:14:11She was there, watching over me.
01:14:16You were looking into the past?
01:14:19I think she always was.
01:14:22Living both timelines, both here and there.
01:14:26But when she touched my hand, I shared her world.
01:14:34We were finally together.
01:14:36Have you had that experience since Jazz returned?
01:14:39No, she's always so distant.
01:14:45What do you think that means?
01:14:58Jazz isn't real, Joe.
01:15:00What do you mean?
01:15:02I can't explain your childhood.
01:15:05The images of the past, the touching, the details you couldn't possibly know.
01:15:13But now, these recent visits, the girl without the face, it's not Jazz, Joe.
01:15:20How can it not be Jazz?
01:15:21I saw her.
01:15:22She was right there.
01:15:23But you can't touch her.
01:15:25You can't remember her face.
01:15:27It's your mind, Joe.
01:15:30It's scared and...
01:15:32It's reaching out.
01:15:35Your mother's died.
01:15:37And you're feeling all these emotions.
01:15:40And maybe it's your father's provoked you or your mother's death.
01:15:44Or maybe you just want someone's attention.
01:15:47But your anxiety isn't letting you be in control of your own actions.
01:15:51Your brain is panicking.
01:15:54Reaching out.
01:15:56The last time you had this much emotional trauma in your life, Jazz came to you.
01:16:01Guided you through bereavement.
01:16:04And now your brain is out of options.
01:16:06It's trying to reverse engineer the effect.
01:16:10Trying to save itself with an image of Jazz.
01:16:13But the brain can only do so much.
01:16:16It can't recreate her personality.
01:16:19Her touch.
01:16:20It can't bring her back.
01:16:31I'm so sorry, Joe.
01:16:33Sorry.
01:16:38I mean, you're sorry, yeah?
01:16:40It's good that you're sorry.
01:16:42Don't...
01:16:43See, you're wrong.
01:16:45You're so wrong.
01:16:46You weren't there.
01:16:46You didn't...
01:16:47You didn't see her.
01:16:48You didn't feel her.
01:16:48My sister.
01:16:50I was nothing till she came along.
01:16:52I'm loved.
01:16:53I'm...
01:16:54I'm wanted.
01:16:55So that you dare sit there and tell me she wasn't real.
01:16:58Because she was.
01:16:59It was real.
01:17:00It was the most real I've ever been.
01:17:05She...
01:17:06She was.
01:17:08What happens after you die?
01:17:29Well, that's quite a question, Joe.
01:17:33There were all the theories.
01:17:36Heaven.
01:17:37Reincarnation.
01:17:38Nothing.
01:17:41You know what I believe?
01:17:44I believe that whatever's next, our mind, our consciousness, will adapt to it.
01:17:53So if there's nothing, our minds will be ready.
01:17:58It's nature.
01:18:01We'll find comfort in nothing.
01:18:03Do you think she's happy?
01:18:04Do you think she's happy?
01:18:06Absolutely not.
01:18:07She couldn't even speak and she still managed to find a way to complain.
01:18:16I think it was the eyebrows.
01:18:21Yeah.
01:18:21I think she's happy.
01:18:24I think she's happy.
01:18:27Now it's your turn to be happy.
01:18:28I think she's happy.
01:18:51Okay.
01:18:52Jasmine, you're here.
01:19:02I woke up early for you.
01:19:04We made some massive headway in the woods yesterday.
01:19:07I think we've earned ourselves a break.
01:19:10So today, we forget about counselling for a moment and just have fun.
01:19:14I've set up the tea party again.
01:19:17I thought it was great.
01:19:19It brought us close together.
01:19:20It meant a lot to me.
01:19:24But we've got a whole room full of stuff to do, of course.
01:19:28The tea set is just one thing.
01:19:30We've got action men, dinosaur toys.
01:19:33Oh, we haven't played Jack's Draws yet.
01:19:44Let's see what's in here.
01:19:45We can do anything, literally anything.
01:19:51We have all day.
01:19:53We have all the time in the world.
01:20:00We can spend forever in this room if we have to.
01:20:05Do you remember Jasmine?
01:20:22We met by the train set.
01:20:25It was the first time we...
01:20:27It's time.
01:20:33Isn't it?
01:20:38No!
01:20:39You can't go!
01:20:40I've never had a sister before!
01:20:43You can't go now!
01:20:44There's so much more to do!
01:20:46It's not fair!
01:20:48I'm not ready to lose you!
01:20:54I'm not ready to lose you!
01:20:58Brother...
01:20:59Hey!
01:21:10I'm not ready to lose you!
01:21:12I'm not ready to lose you!
01:21:17I'm not ready !
01:21:21I need to get to know this story!
01:21:23You're so y'all!
01:21:25And now I hope you cannotdoo!
