00:00Most of our activity with my squad or encounters that we have in the public have to do with traffic stops.
00:10We also do a lot of surveillance, covert surveillance, you know, watching guys who are dealing drugs.
00:16And then once we get enough to go arrest them, we'll move in and take them down.
00:30We're just backing up one of my guys, doing a traffic stop for a window tint violation.
00:38225 is out with 765.
00:42Where are you guys headed?
00:45Where are you all headed to?
00:46Home.
00:47Home?
00:49Sorry.
00:50You mind stepping out for me real quick?
00:54For what?
00:55Because I asked you to, first of all, but we're going to run the dog around the car while Officer Shade is running and stuff.
00:59Uh, your license and whatnot, okay?
01:02Uh, you going to step out?
01:06I'm right there on normal road.
01:08Hey, boss man.
01:09Step out the car.
01:15225 dispatcher, uh, taking off on us.
01:17Headed out towards, uh, Duval Street, northbound.
01:20Oh!
01:25Yeah.
01:29765, you check on them.
01:41Let me see where they end up bailing out.
01:51Uh-oh.
01:51We got a bailout here on green, uh, probably going to be going, uh, back to the east.
02:03Where?
02:20Which way?
02:21Uh-oh.
02:23Uh-oh.
02:27Uh-oh.
02:29All right, let's, uh, what was that?
02:45I heard it crashing.
02:46Yeah, I did too.
02:48Hey, uh, we heard crashing to the east of us.
02:51Back that way.
02:59Okay, this is a explicit driver.
03:03Should be this direction, too.
03:15Show me your hand!
03:17Show me your hand!
03:19Put your hand behind your back!
03:27You ain't got to do all that, Bill.
03:28You didn't have to do all that, Bill.
03:30It's over.
03:31You're all done.
03:32Let's go, I need hands.
03:42Dispatch, secure on two, lift traffic.
03:46We just ran around and held here.
03:49You guys want to do our appointment?
03:51Set up.
03:54We can hand look.
03:55Set up.
03:56One, two, three.
03:58You got him?
04:14And everybody was 10-4 back there?
04:17I just followed it into the notes.
04:18We'll just use the same case number for the hit and run as well as this.
04:21Okay, yeah, that's fine.
04:21Tough day at work for you.
04:25Two crash reports.
04:27Just send them to Cap, please.
04:32So, in the course of fleeing, the suspect vehicle hit another car, and so we had to go back to where that car was and take a traffic crash report.
04:40So, we got both guys who bailed out of the car.
04:44The driver ended up having a bunch of warrants out of central Florida, and the passenger went to jail for resisting, for fleeing the traffic stop after they crashed.
04:53I just want to get my stuff, because it's threatening to hit me.
04:58They're wishing that I was a grown man, so they could be ****ed out of the car.
05:01Put your foot on the ground.
05:01All these threats does not need to be in cuffs.
05:04I think the worst part about the job is the public perception.
05:24There's a lot of mistrust based on something that I didn't do.
05:27So, I feel like a lot of times I spend my day explaining to people, hey, you might not like cops, but you've never met me before, so give me a try.
05:38I like proving people wrong.
05:39Like, hey, I'm not here to just mess with you.
05:42I'm not here just to, you know, inconvenience you.
05:46But, obviously, like, there's laws that need to be upheld, and people need to be held responsible for stuff that they do.
05:51You don't really know who you have in that car in front of you.
05:54It could be, you know, the mom of three, or it could be a guy who just murdered somebody.
06:01And, first and foremost, it's, you know, my safety, my partner's safety, and then making sure everybody else is kept safe during the interaction.
06:14All right, so one of our partners is out on a call where there's a male with knives in a bag.
06:20So, we're going to go back him.
06:21He got there, found the male, and asked for some more partners.
06:24It sounds like he's got him.
06:31The guy's compliant.
06:32He's just waiting for more cars to be safe.
06:36Male string knife's a dumpster on the side of the building.
06:38Take care of lockdown.
06:39We need two kids inside.
06:40The reason we're here is because you're right next to a daycare.
06:59I didn't break any law.
07:00I didn't break any law.
07:00Nobody said...
07:01What's wrong with what I was doing here?
07:03You were right next to a daycare where there are little children at play.
07:07And if you threw a knife and it bounced off the dumpster...
07:09Are you serious?
07:10I ain't...
07:11Go back there and measure in feet.
07:13There's no way.
07:14You're aspiring something that's impossible.
07:15I'm not aspiring it.
07:17You are, though.
07:17There's no possible way that was ugly.
07:19Because you had a knife, and you were throwing the knife at an object.
07:26Okay, so why can't I do that?
07:28Because you're doing it right next to a daycare where there are little kids involved.
07:33Where can I do that?
07:35You can't do that anywhere in the city of Uriah.
07:37Do you own this place?
07:38I just thought I could do that.
07:40You were not.
07:40Every time.
07:41You were not.
07:42Okay, I'm sorry for throwing knives.
07:43I won't do it again.
07:44Were you throwing knives at the dumpster?
07:46No.
07:47No, you weren't.
07:48I did not throw knives at the dumpster.
07:50You have a knife?
07:51Yes.
07:51Were you throwing the knife away?
07:52Yes, I had a piece of firework.
07:55After kind of talking with him, I don't think at this point we have a crime.
07:58However, he does have a city of Seattle warrant.
08:00This is the second time we've dealt with him today.
08:02So we're going to see if maybe we can get him down to King County Jail for the night where
08:06he can maybe sober up, get offered some resources so he's not here in the city of Uriah and
08:09throwing a knife at a dumpster next to a daycare.
08:12I'm not a bad guy.
08:14We aren't saying you're a bad guy.
08:14Why are you guys like doing this to me?
08:16This is the second time that we've talked to you today.
08:20I don't know.
08:22I came here to be away from you guys.
08:24I did everything.
08:26Don't stop yelling.
08:28God!
08:32Why are we yelling?
08:33Father!
08:33This is why we're going to book you into jail today.
08:37Jesus!
08:39Lord!
08:41Stand up.
08:42Come on, buddy.
08:42Go stand up.
08:43Turn around.
08:44Face the car.
08:46You got any other weapons on you?
08:47This is how you're going to get the help you need.
08:49I don't need this kind of help.
08:50I'm not on drugs.
08:51I didn't say you were on drugs.
08:53I didn't.
08:53What's your thoughts?
08:55Stand the human race!
08:58El Oshelofa!
08:59This is your last warning.
09:01God!
09:03Stop yelling.
09:04Stop tensing up or you're going on the ground.
09:05This is your last warning.
09:06I love you all.
09:07Put your foot back.
09:07And you can't let this...
09:09Put your foot on the ground.
09:09My olive grass does not need to be in cuffs.
09:13Go on to the ground.
09:13Lucifer!
09:18Help her!
09:19I gave you the warning.
09:20Stop.
09:21Okay, stop.
09:22Stop!
09:23Okay, Kenny, what's the best way to get you to stand up?
09:25In the name of Jesus!
09:26What's the best way to get you to stand up?
09:27Roll here?
09:28For all of you!
09:29Okay, let's go.
09:30In Jesus' name!
09:32I'm not ashamed!
09:34I think we're good once we...
09:35You are!
09:39I know in whom I have believed!
09:42The Son of God!
09:44Take a seat.
09:45I'm not even on high!
09:47Should be good.
09:47Now that he's in there, he should be good.
09:49So, okay.
09:57So these were the two knives that he was throwing at the dumpster prior to our arrival.
10:01Obviously, these are big.
10:03They're actually pretty dull, which is a good benefit for us.
10:06But, obviously, to the public, that would be very concerning to see some guy yelling about God, Lucifer, and salvation, and throwing knives.
10:13Who knows what he's going to do.
10:14So, we'll take these for safekeeping.
10:16They're going to go with us.
10:18Then he's going to go to jail tonight for his warrant.
10:23White male, white t-shirt, blue jeez shorts.
10:24You're on the ground now!
10:26Which way?
10:27You're running.
10:28You're extremely drunk.
10:29You can barely stand up.
10:30All right, yeah, let's keep our pants up.
10:32Go ahead and pull up your pants for me.
10:3310-4-0-38, and again, he's got me sleeping on the couch in the lobby.
10:53So, one of the managers of the hotels is calling because there's this individual who's sleeping on the couches outside.
11:00He wants some trespass, so we're going to go over there and make contact with him, and go from there.
11:08Where are they at?
11:10Hold on.
11:13Sleeping on the couch in the front lobby.
11:14Are you okay?
11:31Okay, well, that's not what I was asking, okay?
11:34What I was asking you is, if you had already a room here, then you said yes.
11:39So, you don't have a room here yet?
11:42It's a simple question, man.
11:43Do you have a room here, yes or no?
11:46Yeah, Stacy is in here.
11:49So, you have a friend that has a room.
11:51Okay, what room is she in?
11:55All right, just give me a second, okay?
11:58I think he's just going to verify if she's got a room, but are you going to go up?
12:02If she does have a room, are you going up there with her right now?
12:05What were you doing in the lobby, dude?
12:09You were just hanging out there?
12:11All right, really?
12:11All right, man.
12:14So, there's nobody staying here with that name.
12:16So, the man that you're here wants to trespass from the entire property, okay?
12:20I'm a f***ing room.
12:21Yeah, so you cannot come back here.
12:22If you come back here, you're going to be Soviet to arrest.
12:24You're extremely drunk.
12:26You can barely stand up.
12:27All right, yeah, let's keep our pants up.
12:28Go ahead and pull up your pants for me, please.
12:30All right?
12:31There's a lot of ladies walking around here.
12:33The ones...
12:33Yeah, I...
12:34I appreciate it.
12:38All right, whoa, let's not pull down.
12:40Yeah, you want to just sit down, man?
12:43Might be better.
12:44Yeah.
12:44Let's walk to the curb.
12:47No, you don't need to apologize.
12:49Go ahead and sit down.
12:50Step down and sit on the curb.
12:52You got it.
12:53Just take a...
12:54Put your foot down.
12:56No, sit down, my man.
12:57Dude, what are you doing?
12:58Just sit down.
13:00All right, let's just lean you down so you can sit down.
13:03So, there...
13:04Okay, all right.
13:08We came here because this guy was trespassing, but he was more and more, like, obviously intoxicated.
13:14So, what we ended up doing is calling an ambulance for him.
13:18If he's not willing to go to the hospital, he's likely going to get Marchman Acted because we don't feel comfortable just leaving here.
13:25You want to just roll on to it?
13:26You can go ahead and roll.
13:27Roll on.
13:28All right.
13:29Yeah, yeah.
13:30There you go.
13:31So, in Florida, the Marchman Act is...
13:34If they are under the influence of some substance and it's causing them to be unable to care for themselves or become dangerous to themselves or other people,
13:42it allows law enforcement to put someone in protective custody.
13:46So, I like that we have these kind of statutes because if it were my family or my friend that was that messed up,
13:54and I'd rather someone be mad at me that I made them go to the hospital than them get hit by a car or throw up and die or something,
14:01like, I would rather them be upset that I made them go get help than them have something bad happen to them.
14:06This car is going way too fast.
14:18Yeah, this car is flying down this road right here.
14:21I'm going to do a stop on it.
14:23225 dispatch.
14:24Copy traffic stop.
14:25Hey, get out of the car!
14:35You're about to get safe!
14:36You have a ground now!
14:39Dispatch, we're running westbound towards Ogilus Street.
14:42White mail, white t-shirt, blue jean shorts.
14:45About 30 years old.
14:46Where are you?
15:02Where are they?
15:08Where are you at?
15:10Where are you?
15:11What do you look like?
15:14Someone, who had them?
15:15I don't know.
15:16Hey, who's the unit that had them?
15:17Where are you?
15:22Keep going to the other side of it.
15:24Which way?
15:24Hey, just get running.
15:25That way.
15:27Which way?
15:29I don't know.
15:35Hey, let's set a perimeter, and whoever saw them last get K9DU.
15:45Wait, you want to hang right here, and I'll start walking back towards my car, and just listen
15:48in for any rustling in the bushes?
15:50Then, sure.
15:54That's the backyard.
15:56I guess it backs up to where y'all ran from.
15:57I'm like 0 for 3 lately.
16:09Hey, let me know who's the female.
16:11She's the sister of the girlfriend of one of the guys in this car.
16:16Who's the car rented to?
16:18She says it's her rental.
16:18I see, I see.
16:21What does she say?
16:22Possible, I want you to look him up.
16:30Is this your car?
16:31Yeah.
16:31Yeah.
16:32Oh, it's a rental car?
16:34Yeah.
16:35Okay.
16:36How did you know we were here?
16:38Because I've seen the car when I passed by, and this is my car, my rental.
16:43Why do you have a rental car, but you're not driving it?
16:45Because I was about to go out of town, and my baby sister has a child birthday.
16:50Gotcha.
16:51When did y'all run it?
16:52We just ran it today.
16:53Okay.
16:56If he sure is up, I'll make it easier so we don't have to cut a warrant, and just tell
17:00him to call us and turn himself in, okay?
17:02It's a misdemeanor.
17:03He'll get a bond, and he'll bond out.
17:04Okay.
17:05So basically, we had a traffic stop.
17:06He stopped, he took off running, and then we had the renter start to show up.
17:10Turns out one of the girls in the car is related to potentially the driver, and Officer Harrelson
17:15was able, hopefully, to convince her to get him to turn himself in.
17:18You can call us, and we'll come get him.
17:20Everything will be chill.
17:21As long as he's chill, we'll be chill with it.
17:23He doesn't have a good license, so because of his suspension, he probably felt like he
17:29was going to go to jail just because of his thoughts, and oftentimes we give him tickets,
17:32but they just have this fear sometimes that we're going to take him to jail automatically,
17:35so they'll take off running.
17:36He bet he was faster today, and I guess he was.
17:48Can't believe...
17:49He is armed.
17:50Yeah, just be aware of that.
18:10My name is Officer Dill with the Wilmington Police Department.
18:13I've been on the force for two years prior to this career.
18:18I owned a catering business for nine years.
18:21I was very good at it, but I never loved it.
18:23So I knew my calling was law enforcement.
18:26I thought it was time to get into it.
18:28Since I was a little kid, I've always
18:29wanted to be a police officer.
18:30That's all I've ever wanted to do.
18:32There was this saying, I don't know,
18:33everyone should be working the restaurant business for one
18:36year in their life to see how that is.
18:38And I think everyone should work in law enforcement
18:41for one shift in their life to see how crazy it is
18:44and how much you got to take and protect the community
18:47and things like that.
18:52So now we're going to something for a person who
18:55needs to get stuff out of this location.
18:59Looks like it gets more of a keep the peace kind of thing.
19:03She probably just moved down and needs to get some stuff.
19:06And it looks like she's got a child with her.
19:103-4-1 arrival.
19:15So the subject that's inside his name?
19:17It's them who was trying to threaten you to kick me out,
19:20and throwing them to hit me.
19:22They're wishing that I was a grown man so they can be ..
19:25OK.
19:25Do you have any injury?
19:26Do you need EMS?
19:27No.
19:28Do you need EMS?
19:29I think it's good.
19:30OK.
19:31He's just irritated because we were screaming in front of him.
19:34OK.
19:35All right.
19:36We'll go over and try to speak with them.
19:37OK.
19:38It's a gray backpack, and maybe just like a clear or a green binky,
19:43and then my red inhaler.
19:44OK.
19:44All right.
19:45All right.
19:46Do you have to be careful?
19:51Always.
19:52Please, apartment.
19:55Hello.
19:56Is there a bag for any of the baby supplies?
19:59Not yet.
20:00That's true.
20:02I appreciate it.
20:07I appreciate it.
20:13Would you like me to put this in your car, Floyd?
20:17Yes, you can.
20:18You've got to get that base in that car seat,
20:19because that's not secured.
20:21I don't know what to do.
20:22That's not legal.
20:23You've got to get a car seat.
20:24You've got to get a proper car seat for your angel.
20:26That's it.
20:27Period.
20:28Hey, they're saying that I can't leave with the baby before I do.
20:32So what are we supposed to do?
20:34Thomas, you've got to get a proper car seat base.
20:36That's what you need to do.
20:37Are you able to get one and bring one over here?
20:40Um.
20:41Can I just send him in his car seat?
20:43Yeah, you can send him, but you can't travel like that.
20:45Oh, you're right.
20:46I'll make a call.
20:47I've got to make some calls and see if I can't find one real quick,
20:49or I might go buy one or something.
20:51I like it.
20:52Work on that, bud.
20:53We can get you a baby car seat.
20:54But if we have to transport them, we can transport them in.
20:57I just, I don't have anywhere to go.
21:00What were you planning on going after this?
21:02Just, I was just going to sit, Michael.
21:04I was going to give the baby to his dad.
21:06The baby was going to go with him, and I was going to sleep in my car.
21:13I'm looking for his binkies.
21:15It's in the diaper bag on the side pocket.
21:19Sorry.
21:20Hi, honey.
21:21That's him.
21:22Okay.
21:23Is that a base, too?
21:24I don't know.
21:25Fantastic.
21:26Okay.
21:27You got plans for the future for that kid?
21:30Oh, I bet.
21:31Awesome.
21:32He's priority number one.
21:33Please be safe.
21:34Have a good day.
21:36Yeah.
21:37Good luck, y'all.
21:38You go there, and you're just thinking you're helping some girl get a,
21:41a, a, a, a, a, a baby.
21:43Yeah.
21:44Yeah.
21:45Yeah.
21:46Yeah.
21:47Yeah.
21:48Yeah.
21:49Yeah.
21:50Yeah.
21:51Yeah.
21:52Yeah.
21:53Yeah.
21:54You're just thinking you're helping some girl get a, her stuff out of her old roommate's apartment,
21:59and it ends up turning to being homeless.
22:01And then any time a newborn's involved, like, man, you see that, you saw that kid, how beautiful
22:06he was, and he doesn't know any better.
22:08And all, he doesn't, he deserves a fair chance at life.
22:11So, he's priority number one.
22:183960, copy of Virginia Tech.
22:20Right now, I'm responding to a call on Charlie Street in reference to, um, officers on there,
22:26requested, uh, backup.
22:28Basically, uh, there's a language barrier.
22:31So, um, I'm going to assess, see what, what's going on, see if, um, we can solve the issue.
22:36245, copy two calls, holding one able.
22:3864, facing Alabama, 1018.
22:4164, facing Alabama, 1018.
22:4773, 37, 37, 37, 37, 37.
22:53Officers requested a backup.
22:55I don't know what's going on.
22:56They just yelled over the radio to get me back up.
23:00I'm .
23:07Copy, 241.
23:2440 for attack.
23:26I believe somebody was driving a dirt bike on the roadway or on the sidewalk, that's
23:34why officers made contact with them.
23:46The dirt bike is not registered, so the state of Florida you gotta have a vehicle or a dirt
23:54bike registered to be able to drive it on the roadway, so.
23:58Hey, you need to back up.
24:00Back up for what?
24:01Get them off.
24:02Y'all back up, y'all on my door, y'all on my door.
24:04Other side, other side, there's stuff in here.
24:08Hey, hey, somebody get my phone.
24:10Nope, nope, nope.
24:11I see the phone.
24:12Nope.
24:13Back up.
24:14Get your hand off.
24:15Get my hand off.
24:16Get my hand off.
24:18Get my money.

24:28You go.
24:29All right, get back here your computer ball.
24:32Get back now.
24:33Get back.
24:34Pepper on me.
24:36Pepper on me.
24:37Pepper on me.
24:40That's right, you get on your property.

24:56Get up, man. What the f***?
25:00What the f***?
25:01So he was coming up the sidewalk right here.
25:06I'm going to go out to my house and so I can't tell him that it's all.
25:10He's going to take his candy and his water.
25:22You want his family to get his phone?
25:24I'll let you figure that one. Or you can call him later.
25:30When he can call you, he'll explain everything.
25:32What the f***? Stop it.
25:34Yeah, be safe. Keep having fun.
25:42He was trying to walk away inside the yard and that's when they got him in there.
25:46So I believe he is going to be arrested for resisting without violence.
25:52So all it could be a boy if he stopped, identified himself.
25:54The most he could have gotten is a traffic citation, but no.
26:00That's one of the dispatch copier tried to stop working at 14th Avenue.
26:02That's one of the dispatch copier tried to stop working at 14th Avenue.
26:04That's one of the dispatch copier tried to stop working at 14th Avenue.
26:09You're back in the car. Yes, sir. You two get back in the car.
26:16That's one of the dispatch copier tried to stop working at 14th Avenue.
26:23You're back in the car. Yes, sir. You two get back in the car.
26:28What's going on, man? I'm Deputy Board of Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
26:31The reason I stopped you is your back left brake light is out, okay?
26:35You got your driver's license on you?
26:37No, I don't. I just got off work and I was giving him a ride home from work.
26:40Oh, who is he? He's my co-worker. We just left right here.
26:44We just left here, right here by. You don't got a driver's license?
26:48No, I got him, but I ain't got him only.
26:50Okay, I get your name and everything. What's your first name, brother?
26:52Travis. What's your date of birth?
26:5412, 25, 96.
26:58You give me faith. Man, you weren't born in no 96, man.
27:01Stop. You give me a fake name. You already starting off wrong.
27:04You don't have a driver's license on you.
27:06You don't have a driver's license on you?
27:07No, I don't. I just got off work and I was giving him a ride home from work.
27:09Oh, who is he? He's my co-worker. We just left right here.
27:11We just left right here. We just left right here.
27:13You're already starting off wrong. I'm about to lock you up.
27:16Then you give me Christmas as your birthday.
27:19Come on, man. Stop playing. I ain't got time to play games, man.
27:22Be honest, man. What should you give me your correct information?
27:25Antonio.
27:30Go ahead.
27:34Come on. That don't even...
27:36Your radio, mister. I'm trying again.
27:40Oh, I just got off work.

27:44That's your real name?
27:45Yes.
27:49There's so many words. You're pretty much told me you got a warrant.
27:51What's going on?
27:52Last name...
27:55What were you originally charged for that you were supposed to appear in corporal?
27:59Hold on.
28:00Possession with intent.
28:01Possession with intent.
28:02Yeah, okay.
28:03All right. Come back and have it.
28:04I'm going to get records to run them.
28:06All right. That's fine.
28:10What's up, bro?
28:12Ooh!
28:13Container of marijuana.
28:15A couple of ounces at least.
28:17See?
28:18How you doing?
28:19In the backpack behind the passenger seat.
28:22I just got this out the back.
28:23Right here.
28:24That's for us in the grave.
28:25Yes, he went his book out.
28:28Hello?
28:31I know.
28:34No.
28:35Boy.
28:36I know.
28:37See those up?
28:38All right.
28:39I'm sorry.
28:40Oh, he's got 24-10 on Lincoln Road.
28:43Boy.
28:44That's, uh, looks like cocaine.
28:49That's why he was nervous.
28:50We're doing a little bit of dinner.
28:51Yeah, there we go.
28:54Ooh, we got felony bond jumped.
28:57I got him identified.
29:02All right.
29:03The car is clear.
29:04He agreed to talk?
29:05Yeah.
29:06All right.
29:07Look, bro.
29:08If you don't know nothing about none of this,
29:09and he don't know nothing about none of this,
29:11it's both of y'alls.
29:12This is his bag.
29:13This is none of my stuff.
29:14This is my bag right here.
29:15This is my stuff.
29:16I don't have nothing.
29:17I literally just left.
29:18Yeah, y'all.
29:19Check that.
29:20I literally.
29:21It was on me.
29:22That book bag was on my possession.
29:23Yeah, I seen it when you was hopping out the car.
29:26I don't know.
29:27I've never rode with him.
29:28This is my first time I ever rode with him.
29:30Yeah, you want to talk to y'all?
29:31He want to claim it?
29:32And I told y'all off the top I had weed.
29:33I told y'all off the top.
29:34I didn't lie to y'all or nothing.
29:35I didn't know all this was in the car.
29:37Blue.
29:38Pink.
29:39Mm-hmm.
29:40All right.
29:41Positive cocaine.
29:42Honestly, what I'm thinking is let both of them take it
29:45and then let the DA sort it out.
29:47I need someone to check that right away.
29:48Because if they playing the game, it's not mine.
29:50It's not mine.
29:51It's his.
29:52It's not mine.
29:53It's not, you know.
29:54And I just notate that his ID was in there and everything,
29:56and if they decide, hey, we'll drop it or whatever,
29:58then we can go like that.
29:59All right, man.
30:00Stand up for it, brother.
30:03So we get this a lot.
30:04Drugs found inside a car.
30:06If nobody claims it, then everybody goes for a ride for it
30:08because we can't prove who it was.
30:10But we can prove that it was at least,
30:12that at least all knew it was in there
30:14or it belonged to all of them.
30:16I did not know it was in there.
30:18I literally could have walked here.
30:20I just, matter of fact, I didn't even ask for a ride.
30:23He offered to give me a ride because I walk every day, bro.
30:26Crazy, bro.
30:27I'm going to lose my job behind this .
30:32I have a child, my first child.
30:34Coming in December, I cannot afford to lose my job.
30:37I don't take any kind of glee in doing that.
30:40Damn.
30:41Oh, my God, bro.
30:44Good case.
30:45That's what we're out here for, to clean up the streets,
30:47and that's what we were able to do tonight.
30:49I bet everyone in his bag has him to initiate.
30:51For real?
30:52He's not ready to take off and run for me.
30:53Man, that old man wouldn't get no well.
30:54I had the best, though.
30:55Well, he what?
30:56No, never mind.
30:57He's only 28.
30:58He came up with the worst birthday ever, though.
31:001225.
31:17I'm Officer Hamilton.
31:18I've been a police officer for seven years
31:19at the County Police Department.
31:20Having worked at two smaller agencies,
31:22I did a lot of stuff by myself.
31:24I like the fact that Kent gives you more opportunity,
31:27not only for, like, different positions and things like that,
31:29but opportunities to jump out and do stuff
31:32because you have backing units that are close by.
31:34Your buddies are normally within a two-minute drive to you.
31:37I feel more safe here in Kent.
31:39A dude called 911.
31:43Looks like a truck was being weird on his lot.
31:47So he called it in like, hey, it's suspicious,
31:49and it just happened to be a stolen car.
31:5112254.
31:52I know there's previous block hits for the Dodge Ram TRX
31:55with no canopy roaming around the city,
31:58watching it 259.
32:00The stolen truck is a white Dodge 1500,
32:03which may or may not have just passed this.
32:054K97, you have to check in the area.
32:08We just got a citizen calling in that said
32:10that there's a white truck speeding northbound on a trail
32:14that goes toward the Kent City Jail.
32:16Yeah, copy that.
32:17I'm going to check down off of Central.
32:18Going now through the South.
32:224K97, I've stolen TRX, white in color.
32:32He's going now 266 for Central.
32:41He's got a big lead on me.
32:42Hamilton, if you're still in the area,
32:43I'll be calling toward short.
32:47All right, I got an unentropied pulling department.
32:519-7, make a stop on the two that were coming from that direction.
33:10Get on the ground!
33:11I don't care, get on the ground!
33:12Do you hear what he said? Get on the ground!
33:13Get on the ground!
33:14Get on the ground!
33:15You deaf?
33:16Get on the ground!
33:17Get on the ground!
33:19Get on the ground!
33:20I don't care, get on the ground!
33:21You deaf?
33:22Get on the ground!
33:23Get on the ground!
33:25Hard-headed man!
33:26I don't care. Get on the ground.
33:29Do you hear what he said? Get on the ground.
33:31Get on the ground.
33:33You deaf?
33:35Get on the ground.
33:37Get on the ground.
33:39Hard-headed, man.
33:47Are you guys being detained because you were driving that stolen car?
33:51No, it's running.
33:53Driving no car.
33:55It wasn't a question or statement.
33:56I was telling you.
33:57I'm walking over here.
33:58Huh?
33:58Keith?
34:00I don't know him.
34:01Keith, that's it.
34:02Do you have any weapons on you?
34:03No?
34:04I have a nice pocket.
34:05Which pocket?
34:06Jacket pocket.
34:07Jacket pocket.
34:08Oh, yeah, that's you.
34:09Right there.
34:09Okay.
34:10Anything else inside that bag besides all your drug paraphernalia and such?
34:14No.
34:14Okay.
34:15We're going to take a seat on my bumper.
34:15We're going to talk, okay?
34:17This way.
34:18Yeah.
34:18There you go.
34:19You're doing good.
34:20Let's figure out who you are first, all right?
34:23What's your first name?
34:24Hey, Lane.
34:25How do I spell that?
34:26Oh, okay.
34:28I know you.
34:29Yeah.
34:30What's that guy's name over there?
34:33Keith.
34:34Okay.
34:34Do you know why you're stopped?
34:38What kind of car were you at?
34:42Truck.
34:43The truck.
34:44The white truck that's parked over there that you guys walked away from?
34:48Here's the deal, right?
34:50The other officer already saw you.
34:51There's cameras.
34:53That's what they're talking to the manager about right now, right?
34:55So when we go to court, it's going to be like, hey, is she somebody that's remorseful,
34:59that cares about this process, or is she somebody that's a pain in the butt?
35:03I know that you're generally transient.
35:05You don't make any income.
35:06Is that correct?
35:07Right.
35:08So there's no reason why you guys would be in a truck that costs probably $70,000, $80,000,
35:12right?
35:15Right.
35:15I didn't see you driving.
35:18Was it him?
35:20Was it you?
35:21Neither one of you were driving, but you were in the truck?
35:25Okay, so somebody else should be here, but they're not?
35:28Okay.
35:28Who was that?
35:30That doesn't work for me.
35:33Okay, there are more.
35:34They need there more.
35:35Yeah, she's confirming there was a third.
35:38All right.
35:38Well, they're getting ready to grab him up, too.
35:39They're being told here at the farthest east only that there may be a third for a white male
35:44and a red shirt that ran past the car in the woods by you.
35:48She said he ran back this way.
35:50We've got an open door right here.
35:53Okay.
35:53That was in my hole.
35:58Kent, police, if you're inside, come out.
36:02Good.
36:05Kent, police.
36:06Anybody inside?
36:07Hey, man, anybody run by?
36:11No.
36:12No?
36:12Okay.
36:13I'll just stay away from windows for a minute, all right?
36:16Hey, did you guys see anybody running from this direction?
36:19We did see someone being made from, but I think they ran up the hill.
36:22Up the hill?
36:22What did he look like?
36:24White dude?
36:25Yep.
36:26Okay.
36:27So a stolen car ran from us, chased it halfway through the city.
36:30They dumped out in this apartment and then ran.
36:33We got two of the three, and then three is headed up the hill last we saw.
36:38So we're going to get people up here and start going up that way.
36:42There was information that he is armed.
36:43Yeah.
36:44Just be aware of that.
36:45Hey, you want to go old school and go bushwhacking line?
36:48Uh, yeah, let's go this way.
36:51I don't want to go up there, but, yeah, me neither.
37:00I got it.
37:03You know, 20 brown hair.
37:05It's really here.
37:06It sure looks short.
37:07That went down, Walnut.
37:10He's on Walnut.
37:11He's on Walnut, he's on Walnut.
37:41Perfect.
37:43That's okay.
37:44I'm not here.
37:45I'm not here.
37:46I'm not here.
37:47Hey, you go.
37:48Turn over.
37:49You've been over.
37:50I'm not doing that.
37:51Turn over.
37:52Turn over.
37:53I'm not doing that.
37:54You've been over.
37:55You've been over.
37:56Okay.
37:57Okay.
37:58Okay.
37:59Shane, long time no see.
38:01How you doing buddy?
38:03Now you're under arrest.
38:07I'm just a full vehicle.
38:09Thank you man.
38:11One, two, three.
38:13His legs were all chopped up from running up a hill.
38:17He's going to get booked for PSV and alluding.
38:20Mail match in the description.
38:21Don't steal cars.
38:22We had his info already.
38:24Crane led us to this vehicle.
38:26Through our training experience, people hide in cars all the time.
38:29Especially abandoned ones.
38:31How old are you now man?
38:3320?
38:3420?
38:35It's been a long time.
38:38Okay.
38:39He's a guy that I've actually arrested a couple of times and gotten some foot pursuits and
38:43vehicle pursuits with who steals a lot of cars locally.
38:46So he's in custody.
38:48He'll be going to jail for felony possession of stolen vehicle.
38:51And the other two, the female is going for numerous warrants that she has and Mr.
38:56was released.
38:57You can't burn from the law.
39:09You can't burn from the law.
39:10You can't burn from the law.
39:11You can't burn from the law.
39:24You can't burn from the law.
39:36You can't burn from the law.
39:37You can't burn from the law.
