12:03I didn't intend it to be quite so perfect a shot
12:07That was an absolute belter
12:09Some of the grass we're raking into piles
12:13Will be stored as silage
12:15Or fermented grass
12:17Which will be used to feed the highland cattle
12:19Through the winter
12:20Oh yeah, queen of the
12:23Queen of the grass
12:24Actually
12:26That's not an inappropriate statement
12:29Because my dad was grassland champion a lot of years
12:31What's a grassland champion?
12:33If you make good silage
12:35Whenever I tell him a farming story
12:40He thinks I'm taking the myth
12:41Seriously
12:41Your dad has won silage awards
12:43Yes, it's actually a thing
12:45So you cut all your grass
12:46And if the grass is really good
12:48You can win trophies for it
12:49And he used to win a lot, alright?
12:51I really love your dad
12:52Has he got like a silage cup on the mantelpiece?
12:55Yes
12:56Honestly
12:56Yeah, you have to give it back each year, obviously
12:59This isn't a joke
13:02It's a thing
13:03You win a trophy for having like good silage
13:06I'm going to be competing in the silage cup next year
13:09No, my friend
13:10You won't be
13:11Our appearance on the Great British Rake-Off has gone well
13:17You've managed to get it all piled up for us, so thank you
13:21Thank you for showing us this fantastic place
13:23I mean, what a great but windy establishment you've got here
13:26Listen, keep up the good work there
13:28Yeah, take care
13:29It's been great having you both
13:30Thank you
13:31I'm taking this with me, if that's alright
13:32Signing off in style
13:33That nearly hurt, didn't it?
13:36See you later
13:36Jake the rake
13:37Take care
13:37Your hair has been all over the shop
13:41But you've managed to hold on to that windswept look
13:42There's a bit of straw, a bit of grass in there
13:45But it just gives a bit of body
13:46And I feel earthy
13:47I'm off down here for a wander with a local walking group
13:49You could go that way
13:50Or you could stay here and go down the actual path
13:52I couldn't have styled that out
13:55There was no need to mention that
13:56I was like waist-high nettles
13:58But waist-high for me
14:00Shin-high for you
14:01I'm actually going this way
14:02Bye now
14:02From gentle strolls around reservoirs
14:16To rugged moorland hikes
14:18The home valley has something for walkers of all abilities
14:21I'm heading now to the town of Meltham
14:25Nestled in the rolling hills of West Yorkshire
14:28It's home to a friendly bunch
14:30And with my surname
14:31I think I'll fit in nicely
14:33So you guys are a walking group
14:36And I hear you're called walkers are welcome
14:37So I feel very much at home here
14:39Shall the walkers go walking then?
14:41Let's
14:41OK
14:41Just a few minutes after leaving the town
14:45We're trekking along the old railway line
14:47That's now Meltham Greenway
14:49Our guide is Anne
14:51Well this is a lovely place for a stroll
14:54Isn't it Anne?
14:55It's absolutely perfect
14:56Yeah it's one of the very few
14:57Fully accessible footpaths really in Meltham
15:00Because as you can see
15:01Meltham's quite a hilly place
15:03So you like taking people on
15:07Nice little routes like this
15:09What are some of the other people
15:11That you've spoken to?
15:13What do they get out of the group?
15:14Because I suppose it's physical and mental
15:15Yes
15:16Since we've formed the group
15:17Several members of the group
15:19Have become really good friends
15:20They've been on holidays together
15:21Supported each other through crises and traumas
15:24And everything
15:25It's a really really good way
15:26Of getting out and meeting people
15:28And making friends
15:29Now Anne I've also discovered
15:32I should probably take my sunglasses off for this
15:34That I'm in the presence
15:35Of the mayor of Meltham
15:38Do I have to bow?
15:39You can put your sunglasses back on
15:40It's fine
15:41Yes
15:42Yes
15:43I was elected mayor of Meltham in May this year
15:46How cool
15:46What's it like being lady mayor?
15:48Interesting
15:48Yeah
15:49It's still quite new
15:50Is she a decent mayor?
15:51Is she alright?
15:51Oh yes
15:52Mark's not sure
15:54Well said
15:55Well said
15:56You didn't see that
15:56He gave you one of them
15:57And I'm right
16:01I know you're very proud of Meltham
16:04And Yorkshire
16:06But do I detect a little Lancastrian in there?
16:08Yes
16:08I'm from over the hill
16:09Shh
16:09Don't tell anyone
16:10But I'm sort of an adopted Yorkshire woman
16:15Yeah
16:15Fraser is a newcomer to the area
16:19He moved here after his wife died
16:21To be nearer his son
16:22One of the first things he did
16:25Was join the walking group
16:26I made it a point
16:28To say
16:29I need to get to know people
16:31I need to get to know the area
16:33As soon as possible
16:34And what's it been like for you
16:35Settling into an entirely different life
16:38You know
16:39Sadly without your wife
16:40Now
16:41Yeah
16:41I mean
16:41It takes a bit of getting used to
16:42But I came up here
16:43And the scenery
16:45Is beautiful
16:45Meltham's beautiful
16:47The people are beautiful
16:49Have you got to say that
16:51Because you're still next to the mare?
16:53No
16:53So we're coming
16:55Sort of towards the end of the greenway now
16:57But we're going to double back a little bit
16:59And we've got a surprise for you
17:01Oh
17:01What's your surprise?
17:03You'll find out
17:04Okay
17:04Let's crack on
17:05I can hear something very exciting
17:15What's going on?
17:15Where are we?
17:16We're at the site of Folly Dolly Waterfall
17:17So it's a little bit of a part-time waterfall
17:20There's not a huge amount of water at the moment
17:22But the plus side is
17:23We can actually walk up to the waterfall today
17:25So normally all this would be covered
17:26It can be absolutely
17:28In full flow
17:29It'll be right up to here
17:30I'm quite glad for our hot summer then
17:33Because it means we can get right up there
17:34We can get a bit further up
17:35Yeah
17:35Let's do it
17:36The falls stand at 32 feet high
17:46And gain popularity in Victorian times
17:49Sunday day trippers would picnic
17:51And enjoy the cascading water
17:54Can I help you across?
17:57Yeah
17:57Thank you
17:58We don't want anyone to get wet today
18:02Here we go
18:07You might need a stunt double
18:11Just like our 19th century ancestors
18:17We pick a spot for a snack
18:19A place to admire the falls
18:21It's pretty impressive that, isn't it?
18:26It certainly is
18:27Yeah, it's absolutely beautiful
18:28I feel quite privileged to have got so close to it
18:31You are
18:32Now I heard this is a group
18:34That don't go anywhere
18:35Without a flask of tea and some biscuits
18:36We've absolutely got flasks and biscuits
18:38Oh, you're not disappointed
18:40I love you all
18:41There's one Barbara prepared earlier
18:42That's okay
18:43There you go, Dad
18:45Proper yorkshire brew that, Anne
18:46There we go
18:49It always smells better in the outdoors, doesn't it?
18:55I've heard that there was a woman
18:57Known as Dolly
18:58That had a house at the top of the waterfall there
19:01And she used to tie her children to a rope when she went shopping
19:05And leave her children
19:06I don't know how true that is
19:07And the other one that
19:09It's a bit worrying, isn't it?
19:10I hope that's not true
19:12I really hope that's not true
19:14And there was a businessman
19:15He was known as Dolly
19:17Right
19:17And he attempted to build
19:19Use, harness the waterfall for water power
19:22And so it became known as Dolly's Folly
19:24Obviously, later years became Folly Dolly
19:27Whatever the story is
19:28It's a really memorable name, isn't it?
19:29Yeah, Folly Dolly Fall
19:30I know you're the mayor of these parts
19:31You know everything
19:32It could be a Melbourne myth
19:35Don't tell me that
19:36I'm here thinking you're incredibly reliable
19:38Thank you so much, Anne
19:41I'll give you your mug back
19:43Thank you
19:43I'll let you guys enjoy the rest of the waterfall without me
19:47I've got a bit of a dirty bum now, I think
19:49That's all right
19:49Just take her
19:49Don't look at it while I walk away
19:51Thank you, guys
19:52Bye
19:52Thanks for a lovely time
19:54Bye
19:54See you later
19:55Bye
19:56Coming up
20:03Helen auditions to be the next 007
20:06Three, two, one Bond
20:07And that's why you'll never be James Bond
20:12And Dan hits new heights in the house of his dreams
20:15So this is window at the top
20:19It's going to be hot up there today, isn't it?
20:21It will be hot up there
20:22But it's great views from up there
20:24Oh, you're right
20:25This is incredible
20:36We're exploring the breathtaking Home Valley
20:48In the heart of West Yorkshire
20:49And you don't get much more iconic
20:52Than our next destination
20:53For anyone who remembers classic British sitcoms
20:57Of the 1970s and 80s
20:59Home Firth is instantly recognisable
21:01As the home of last of the summer wine
21:04The long-running comedy centred around
21:06Three elderly men and their adventures
21:09And who could forget the relationship
21:11Between Compo and his next-door neighbour
21:13Nora Batty
21:15Oh, there she is
21:18Hey up, Nora
21:18I wanted to have some Batty banter
21:20But I'm actually really enjoying this
21:22My mum always says
21:23You can tell a lot about a person
21:25By how dirty the front step is
21:26That's a lovely tabard
21:27Thank you
21:28Can I come up and see your steps?
21:30I thought you were going to say my stockings then
21:32At which point I would have said
21:33Get away, Compo!
21:34Have you got any on?
21:35They're wrinkled and that's all you need to know
21:37You do not have me down as a step sweeper, do you?
21:40No, well, this is an entirely new image of Captain Skelton
21:44I'm enjoying it
21:45I'm a domestic goddess, what can I say?
21:47Do you fancy a little wander around Home Firth?
21:49Yes
21:49Yes
21:50Home Firth has a town centre packed with independent shops, galleries and cafes
21:57We're heading for lunch now
21:59At an eatery that's described as cheese heaven
22:02Here they champion local producers as well as speciality cheeses from across Europe
22:08I'm having a very nice day
22:10It was already like an 8.5
22:13The cheese board's taking it straight into the nights
22:15Oh, okay, yeah
22:16I concur
22:17Yeah
22:17I feel like bringing the cultures together here
22:19We've come straight from Nora Batty's steps into a very elaborate cheese board
22:23I feel like we might need to get more chutney
22:25There's never enough chutney
22:28Or do we over-chutney?
22:32Don't you can over-chutney?
22:34It's hard to know, isn't it?
22:36A few crackers in and talk turns to the best accompaniments for cheese
22:40Do you know what I really, really enjoy?
22:44A cheese board and a James Bond movie
22:46Daniel Craig
22:47Oatcake
22:49Oatcake, right?
22:50Wensleydale with Cranberry's End
22:52You mean Daniel Craig on the telly or Daniel Craig?
22:54Not on the oatcake
22:55On the telly
22:56So Bond and cheese
22:57In fact, you know, they are looking for any of Bonds
23:00Oh, don't, don't
23:01No
23:01Do you think?
23:03Huh?
23:03Eh?
23:04Give me crackers
23:04Cheese and crackers
23:06There's a lot of people who can do it, but
23:08Oh, you could be Em
23:11Well, that could be Bond
23:13Oh, okay, yeah
23:15First female Bond
23:16Actually, I think, yeah
23:17Show me your Bond face again
23:18Wait for it
23:20Wait for it
23:20Three, two, one, Bond
23:21Oh
23:22And that's why you'll never be James Bond
23:28Are you the baddie?
23:31Are you alright?
23:32I'd talk them to them
23:33Actually
23:34Yes
23:34Sticking with a film theme
23:37Oh
23:38Do you know this is Yorkshire's answer to Hollywood?
23:41Is it now?
23:42I might not be able to be Bond
23:43But I could be Captain America
23:45Meet on, Captain
23:46This is Little Hollywood
23:47Okay
23:48Allez
23:49It may seem surprising now
24:01But at the end of the 19th century
24:02Homeforth played a significant role in early British film production
24:06Particularly during the silent era
24:08Just about anyone living in the town could be called upon to appear in a movie
24:12Hence the nickname
24:14Little Hollywood
24:15Are you particularly tall today?
24:19Yeah, hold on
24:19Is that the tall measure?
24:21Yes
24:22I reckon I can do this one without
24:23Can you do that one?
24:25No, not a chance
24:26That's tall
24:27Oh, good leg action
24:29I need to lift my leg then
24:30Excellent leg action
24:31We're heading to Homeforth Picture Drome to meet June Carter
24:35Whose family were pioneers in film
24:37And Peter Carr, who owns the venue
24:40You must be Peter
24:42Hello
24:43Nice to meet you
24:44Hello, June, I'm Dan
24:45Hello, Dan
24:45Hi
24:46Yeah
24:46We're not charging today
24:48June's great-grandfather, James Banforth, was a portrait photographer in Homeforth
24:54In 1883, he began to specialise in making lantern slides, an early form of image projector
25:02So when films were starting to get going, he was the right man in the right profession
25:07He was a genius, really
25:10When Moving Pictures was started, the Lumiere brothers, he was really first off in Britain
25:15And was well positioned to recruit all the locals into Moving Pictures
25:21It's a heck of a legacy
25:22Do people know that now? Do they talk about that now? Is it something that's acknowledged?
25:26A lot of the older end refer to this place as Little Hollywood, don't they?
25:30Yeah
25:30They still do that
25:31I went to see a short movie made by June's great-grandfather
25:35Okay
25:35And we're going to have a bit of popcorn, by the way
25:37Oh, you are now in the zone
25:39He's a happy man
25:40The Picture Drome was built in 1912 and showed all James Banforth's silent films
25:46Many of which survive thanks to the Yorkshire Film Archive
25:50Popcorn in place, Helen
25:52You can't go to the cinema without a bit of popcorn
25:55Okay
25:56So June, talk us through it, what are we going to watch?
25:59So, Kissing the Tunnel was a very, very early film in 1898
26:04And James Banforth, my great-grandfather, was directing
26:08It was very important because it was the first continuity edit
26:11So you've got a picture of a train entering into a tunnel
26:15There is an edit to the scene going on inside the carriage of the train
26:20And then the train comes out the other side, another edit
26:23But what goes on inside the train is there is a man
26:26Who is my grandfather, Edwin Banforth
26:29And who spies a very attractive woman in the carriage
26:32And he envelops her and kisses her profusely
26:36And then they come out of the tunnel
26:37And was that your grandmother?
26:38No, sadly it wasn't
26:40Oh, scandal
26:41Oh, was it scandalous there?
26:43Oh, my grandmother apparently allegedly
26:45It was furious
26:46Absolutely furious
26:48All his goings on
26:50In the filming in the carriage
26:52Yes, absolutely
26:53Say rum VT
26:54I always want to say that
26:55Say rum VT
26:56Rum VT
26:57Oh, there you go
27:02There he is
27:02There he is
27:03Smoking
27:04And this is the mystery lady
27:05He's quite enthusiastic
27:07He's enjoying it, isn't he?
27:09Yeah
27:09She seemed to be as well, though
27:12And here comes the train
27:14But isn't it weird to think
27:16That that is the first time that kind of editing was happening
27:19That's 130 years ago
27:21Yeah, it's extraordinary
27:22James Banforth was a genius
27:24Because not only was a fantastic artist
27:26But he was an entrepreneur as well
27:28Like all great creatives
27:31James didn't stop there
27:32And took his artistic skills in a new direction
27:35Postcards
27:36And in 1910
27:38Banthas produced their very own set of saucy postcards
27:42So these postcards
27:43We're into the area now of the 50s and 60s
27:46Okay
27:46So this was the comic postcard era
27:49Of very large women
27:51And rather henpecked husbands
27:54Anybody who's been on a holiday
27:56At a certain time in the UK
27:57Will remember seeing these every single
27:59You see, so if you think
28:00Every work's had their trips
28:02And the first thing everybody did
28:03Was buy a postcard
28:05To send home and say
28:06Wish you were here
28:07We're having a great time
28:08They were very double entendre
28:10They were naughty
28:11They were funny
28:12You wouldn't get away with them today, would you?
28:14You wouldn't
28:15They were very non-PC
28:16That was the kind of thing
28:18That makes you smile, isn't it?
28:19Yeah
28:19Oh, she's having a great time
28:24She is
28:24Look at that hair
28:25Those rosy cheeks
28:26It's been wonderful
28:27Thank you, June
28:27Thank you very much
28:29Thanks for letting us in, Peter
28:30Love that
28:33Yeah
28:34June, home first royalty
28:35Definitely
28:36Pete, protector of this
28:39Well, I wanted to say protector of the people
28:40Protector for the people
28:42Yeah
28:42Of this building with a great heritage
28:43I'm staying on a film theme now, actually
28:47I'm going to go and find a little house
28:48Inspired by Lord of the Rings
28:50Hopefully
28:50Some little people in there
28:52With hairy feet
28:52I've told you before
28:54It's not my fault
28:55It's genetic
28:55I'm heading just a couple of miles west of Holmfirth
29:10Along the Holm Valley
29:11To an architectural gem
29:13That's considered to be one of Britain's first ever eco-homes
29:16It was designed in 1969
29:21By visionary architect Arthur Quornby
29:23And it was completed in 1975
29:27And walkers on nearby public footpaths
29:29Have marvelled at it ever since
29:31I like the look of this place
29:34I absolutely love Lord of the Rings
29:40And this has given me full Shire vibes
29:43Let's see who's inside
29:47Hello Bilbo
29:52Hey, it's Viv
29:53Lovely to see you
29:54Nice to meet you
29:55Can I come in?
29:55Of course you can
29:56I love it already
29:57Viv and her family have lived in this house for nine years
30:05They bought it from the original mastermind behind the design
30:08They fell in love with the unique layout
30:12Especially the funky pool
30:15Oh, Viv
30:17I want to live here
30:19When you have people round
30:22They must just spend their entire time going
30:23Wow, wow, wow
30:25Well, it's a bit different, isn't it?
30:27Certainly an adventure
30:27Yeah?
30:28Is it talking inspired in any way?
30:30Yeah, there's lots of connections with Lord of the Rings
30:33So obviously the name Underhill
30:35Yeah
30:35When Frodo Baggins was off on his adventure from the Shire
30:38He was called by Gandalf Mr Underhill
30:41Yeah
30:41So that's the connection
30:42So it's called Underhill and it's built into the landscape
30:46Yeah
30:46The views are amazing
30:47Yeah
30:47But we are actually underground now
30:49It has a cloak of earth that makes it look as though it's underground
30:53But it is actually earth-sheltered
30:55Every aspect of this special home has been thought through
30:59Including the children's area
31:01Oh, wow
31:03The kids' zone
31:03I think it's like a kids' zone
31:04Yeah
31:05This is specifically for our grandchildren at the minute
31:08Because they're quite young
31:08They must love it
31:09They must love it
31:09They do love it
31:10Yeah, they do love it
31:11The ladder
31:12Jacob's ladder
31:13Yes
31:14I dare you
31:15So this is window at the top
31:18It's going to be hot up there today, isn't it?
31:20It will be hot up there
31:21But it's great views from up there
31:23Oh, you're right
31:24This is incredible
31:27I need this house in my life
31:29Although, I think it's 4,000 degrees over here
31:34The view's sensational
31:36But it's like Jules Verne's Journey to the Century of the Earth
31:39I'm going to have to come down
31:40What else have you got?
31:41Oh, we've got lots
31:42We've got a cave, too
31:44A cave?
31:45We've got a cave
31:46Take me to the cave
31:47Let's go and find the cave
31:48Very exciting
31:49With stone walls and cosy comforts
31:53This tucked away treat provides the perfect rustic room
31:57Come on, Viv
32:03It's unbelievable
32:06It's a magical place at Christmas, yeah
32:08Do you do the tree and the lights?
32:09Yeah, yeah
32:10It's like a little fairy grotto
32:11The kids love it
32:13So cool
32:14Yeah
32:14Have a seat
32:15It's really peaceful in here, isn't it?
32:17It is really peaceful
32:18And in the winter, it's really cosy and warm
32:21Viv, you're a lovely host
32:22Why don't you just give me a few minutes
32:23That I'll just
32:24Okay, I'll come back
32:25Shall I bring you a cup of tea?
32:26Oh, Viv
32:27Can I move in, please?
32:28Just a few miles from Underhill House
32:38In the picture-perfect Home Valley
32:40Artist Pippa Ashworth creates beautiful and evocative paintings
32:45Inspired by the landscapes close to home
32:50Pippa's often out and about with her sketchbook
32:53There are lots of places that I like to walk
32:56This is one of the top of the list cos it's close by and it's lovely
32:59And you've got the river
33:00It's always different
33:02You can come here every day of the week and it'll be different
33:05And I look forward to seeing how it's changed
33:08Finding the perfect spot is key
33:12I'm going to go down a bit lower
33:14It's easier for me to get this way
33:16It's the light that attracted me on this little bit
33:20Because it comes through from the field
33:22And throws some really lovely shadows
33:24Onto the stones underneath
33:25And onto the river
33:27Colours aren't quite right at the moment
33:34But when I got back to the studio
33:36At least I've got some reference as well
33:38And useful
33:39It's all bits of research really
33:41Before you start painting
33:42Pippa takes a quick photo as a reference
33:50It's lovely looking through this
33:54Because I can see the composition
33:56It's how I want it
33:57In her studio
34:06She reviews the photos from her walk
34:08Probably when I start to paint from this
34:11I'll start off in a bit of a chaotic way
34:14Because I like to make sure that it's got atmosphere
34:17Which it has when I'm there
34:18But I just want to make sure
34:20That that's what the viewer sees in the painting
34:22Pippa starts to put colour on the canvas
34:25With the background created
34:27It's time to add some key features
34:30So now I think I'm just going to establish
34:33Where I'm going to put the tree
34:34The physical thing about putting paint down
34:41It's very hard to explain
34:42But if I didn't do it
34:43I don't know what else I'd do
34:46It's coming in here every day
34:48It's fantastic
34:49That's what I do
34:50It's massively important
34:54And it's a bit like eating
34:55To be honest
34:56I quite like this middle section
34:58I think there's lots of things going on
34:59I really like that
35:00But I think at the moment
35:01The tree's very stark
35:03What I'm hoping to do
35:04Is to let that light come through
35:06A huge amount of passion
35:09Dedication
35:10Talent and time
35:11Goes into each and every one
35:13Of Pippa's paintings
35:14And this is the end result
35:16Time well spent
35:18And she wouldn't have it any other way
35:21I don't want to do anything else but paint
35:23And some people would see it as an obsession
35:26I suppose
35:26But to me it's my life
35:28And that's what I do every day
35:30Very lucky to live here
35:31And very lucky to be able to do that
35:33Coming up
35:39Dan is blown away
35:40At the Hobbit House
35:41Everything you've shown me so far
35:43Has been
35:43Bonkers
35:45Well this is equally as bonkers
35:46But it's beautiful
35:47That is
35:48The most amazing views
35:50And there's something to please us both
35:53At our final destination
35:55Do love a view
35:56And that
35:57My friend is not a bad one
35:58And I
35:59Love a wine
36:00So we have got the full set
36:02We're exploring the stunning landscapes
36:22Of the Home Valley
36:23Just south of Huddersfield
36:24In West Yorkshire
36:25Earlier Dan was captivated
36:28By the interior
36:29Of Britain's first earth-sheltered home
36:32But that's not the owner's favourite part
36:34Of the property
36:35Viv has one more
36:37Incredible surprise for me
36:38I'm quite excited about this
36:43Because everything you've shown me so far
36:45Has been
36:45Bonkers
36:47Well this is equally as bonkers
36:49But it's beautiful
36:50That is
36:51The most amazing views
36:53Viv
36:54It's better for up here
37:00Viv the whole thing's sensational
37:02I love your house
37:04But I think if I lived here
37:05This is where I spend my time
37:07To be fair
37:08This is my favourite part
37:10And
37:10You know
37:11Even now
37:11We come up here so regularly
37:13But it's still breathtaking
37:14You know
37:15You just feel at one with nature
37:16It hits you when you stand here
37:19Doesn't it
37:19It's almost like
37:20The way that it's been built
37:21And the way the hill's found you
37:23It's like
37:23The whole thing's giving you a hug
37:26It's not a hug
37:26It absolutely is
37:27Absolutely is
37:28We're just really happy to be here
37:30Yeah
37:30You know it's such a wonderful
37:32Magical place to live
37:33Other than the lovely sheep
37:34What can I see from here?
37:35You can see Ridingwood
37:36Reservoir
37:37Oh yeah
37:38Over there
37:38And you can also see
37:40Home Moss
37:41Oh that's where I've got to go
37:42And meet Helen
37:43I'm tempted to ring her
37:44And say
37:45I've found the perfect house
37:46I'm in love with Viv
37:47And I think I'm going to stay here forever
37:49But it's been a real pleasure
37:50Magic
37:51It's been so lovely to meet you
37:52And you as well
37:53I'll leave you to enjoy the view
37:54Absolutely
37:55I'm going to go
37:55Can I let myself out?
37:56Of course you can
37:57I'm going to go and see Helen
37:58Thanks Viv
37:58We're coming to the end of our walk
38:10Through the stunning Home Valley
38:11We've been to the bottom of the valley in Home Firth
38:15So now it's time to hit the heights
38:17As we head to a vineyard with a view
38:19Someone is very excited about this stop
38:22Daniel Walker
38:24Look at you striding through the vineyards
38:27Oh, purposefully coming towards you
38:29Hello pal
38:29Erm, what a place, what a view
38:31Look at this
38:34I do love a view
38:36And that, my friend, is not a bad one
38:38And I love a wine
38:40So we have got the full set
38:42At 840 feet above sea level
38:45Home Firth Vineyard is the highest vineyard
38:48Not just in Yorkshire
38:49But in the whole country
38:50Don't you love Yorkshire?
38:54I do love Yorkshire
38:55I also love this view
38:57Because you've kind of got everything, haven't you?
38:59That's what I was thinking
38:59Look, farm
39:00Yeah
39:01Bit of busyness
39:02Right in the middle of a gorgeous vineyard
39:04Is it a vineyard or a vineyard?
39:05What do you call it?
39:06I could say vine
39:07It's a field of grapes
39:09It's not easy to reliably grow anything in this country
39:12Because the climate can be so different
39:13So to grow grapes in Yorkshire
39:16Impressive
39:17I feel it would be very rude to be here
39:19Not to sample the produce
39:21Purely in the name of research and commitment to our craft
39:25Yes
39:25Look, the sun's coming out now
39:26I know
39:27It's like perfect timing
39:28The vineyard was founded in 2008
39:32Transforming a former sheep farm
39:34Into the seven acres of vines that are here today
39:38Yeah, I've got to do 15 more steps in you every stride
39:41That's the good thing about long legs though
39:44You can get up a vineyard hill quickly
39:46Yeah
39:47And straddle a bench
39:49Yeah, I can do that though
39:50Pleasure
39:50Thank you very much
39:52Hello
40:03Hello
40:03Can I take your order please?
40:05You're very keen now
40:06What would you like?
40:07All the wine please
40:09I can recommend our home first vineyard dry rosy
40:12If you would like that
40:12Thank you very much
40:13Sounds good
40:13Could I have a bit of ice in that please?
40:16You can
40:16Thank you
40:17Is there a thing?
40:18I like ice in rosy
40:19That's alright isn't it?
40:20Yeah, that's fine
40:21Thank you very much
40:22I'll have mine clean by the way
40:24Just clean
40:24There are three varieties of grapes grown here
40:31Producing up to 6,000 bottles of wine every year
40:33This is Helen's happy place
40:36Oh here we go
40:38Thank you very much
40:39You are very welcome
40:40Oh you're right
40:40Look you get more free money with your ice in there
40:42You see
40:43Thank you
40:44You are you're very welcome
40:45This has been a successful venture
40:49Very much so
40:50Oh
40:51You get a bit of extra acoustic with your ice you see
40:54Good jangle eh
40:55Although I can still taste chutney
40:57I feel we might have over chutneyed
40:59No that chutney was delicious
41:00The cheese was very much a highlight
41:03Although I enjoyed our time on the nature reserve
41:06Wildlife reserve
41:06I did not know though that this part of your show was referred to as Little Hollywood
41:11I think that's such a legacy isn't it?
41:13Yeah
41:13Imagine what could it be
41:14I think we learnt quite a bit didn't we from Peter and from Jude
41:17The highlight for me though I think was your Bond face
41:21Because I know they're looking and I feel that if you can summon something up standing
41:26This could be your moment
41:27So you've had a bit of rosé to settle your nerves
41:30Are you ready for the new Bond?
41:33Helen Skelton is James Bond
41:35This is your camera
41:36Go
41:37No I've got it I've got it I've got it
41:41One of the most important things in life is that you've got to be aware of your limitations
41:53And I think there aren't many things that are beyond you
41:55But I think Bond might be just beyond you
41:57You're beyond Bond
41:58Can I be M?
41:59You'll always be my M
42:01You're so good at giving a compliment and an insult at the same time
42:05And I'll toast that
42:05From Yorkshire with love
42:06Oh fucking good I just got you did there
42:10Unbelievable
42:10Next time Dan has some advice for a livid llama
42:22He's just looked so angry
42:25If you didn't look what?
42:27If you didn't look so angry all the time
42:28I reckon you'd get a bit more love
42:30Because then he looks like he's just stepped out the gates of hell
42:33Just don't be so furious
42:34And we attempt to whistle a tune using just the power of steam
42:52And we'll have to travel
42:57Toॏ
42:57And we'll have to pull that happen
43:02So
43:03And we'll have to nieospite
43:05Yeah
43:07But I can't be師 Wood
