01:24Money that should have been utilized to better the lives of Filipinos
01:30were instead used by corrupt individuals to buy exotic cars, luxury vacations, and even gamble in casinos.
01:43All those persons responsible for this may be prosecuted and jailed.
01:51But to completely heal our nation, justice is not enough. We need restitution.
01:58Pero magkano ang perang nakulimbat at magkano ang maibabalik?
02:04Sa lawak at dami ng mga maanumalyang flood control project, hindi pa yan matiyak ng ICI.
02:09Sa ulat ng DPWH, may nadeskurbine ng lampas apat na raang mga umunoy ghost flood control projects.
02:16At sa isang buwan na hearing ng ICI, ang naiimbestigahan pa lamang ay mga proyekto sa Bulacan at sa Oriental Mindoro.
02:23Pero sa ngayon, na-freeze na ng AMLC ang sobra sa 5 billion pesos na bank accounts at ari-arian.
02:32At ang 5 bilyong pisong halaga ng mga aeroplano at helicopter ni dating representative Saldico.
02:37Ayon sa ICI, mas mabilis yung mga forfeiture proceedings o pagbawi sa mga ari-arian, katulad na lamang dito sa mga luxury vehicles.
02:47Maaari na itong gawin kahit wala pang sintensya yung mga kasong kriminal na posibleng isampa laban sa mga sangkot sa anomalya.
02:55Pag forfeiture kasi, ibig sabihin, these properties or this money is not actually theirs, but was taken from, was in a way not theirs, and probably proceeds of a crime.
03:08This is different from the criminal aspect. This is administrative and civil remedies, which in a way will be shorter.
03:17Sabi ng ICI, ipapa-auction na ng Bureau of Customs ang kinumpiskang labing tatlong mga luxury vehicle na mag-asawang diskaya.
03:27Ayon kay Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomoceno, sa Nobyembre nila pwedeng i-auction ang mga sasakyan at maaaring makakolekta ang gobyerno ng 200-220 million pesos.
