00:00In Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro offered statements on Wednesday
00:03and rejected the U.S. tradition of foreign intervention with regime changes
00:08and coup d'etats that have been promoted by the CIA throughout history.
00:13During the National Council for Sovereign and Peace,
00:16the president emphasized that Venezuela is not alone in opposing the attacks
00:21and threats used by the government of the United States to seize sovereign resources.
00:26Additionally, he asserted that xenophobic statements comparing Venezuelans to criminal groups
00:31like the Tren de Aragua, which he pointed out were exterminated by the national police, must cease.
00:38In this regard, the Venezuelan president reiterated that the best way to combat these threats and attacks is unity.
00:46No to regime change that reminds us so much of the failed eternal wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and the list goes on.
01:03Note a coups d'etats by the CIA that remind us so much of the 30,000 people disappeared by the CIA
01:17in the coups d'etats against Argentina, Pinochet's coup d'etats,
01:22and the 5,000 young people murdered and disappeared in coup d'etats after coup d'etats in Latin America.
01:35Latin America doesn't want them, doesn't need them.
01:38Also in this context, the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that U.S. imperialism ignores historical reality
01:49and also underestimates the strength of national identities, such as that of the Venezuelan people.
01:55And why do I say this?
02:00Because we must remember that humanity has always been diverse in its roots, trajectory, and history.
02:08It has never had a single language, a single way of thinking, a single culture, or a single political system.
02:16It has never been under any empire in the past, so if the American empire, with its supremacist and Nazi ideology,
02:27believes that it is going to unify us all into a single way of thinking, a single order, a single command,
02:35it is out of step with the times, because we carry a very strong flag.
02:40Our national flag, the yellow, blue, and red one that no one gave us, no one painted for us.
02:51Miranda brought it and Bolivar carried it, victorious in the liberating banners to Ayacucho, to Hunin.
02:59And I am not inventing a fable.
03:01It is lived history, it is real history.
