00:00Hi guys, welcome back to another video. I hope you're all having an amazing day, night, evening, whatever time it is for you.
00:12As Mother's Day is officially here, I thought I would make a nice little baking video where I make my famous banana bread.
00:24I have made this recipe so many times over the past month or two. It's it, and I will link the recipe that I follow in the description box.

01:42So, without further ado, let's get on with making the banana bread.
01:47Okay, so to start off with making this recipe, I take two cups of flour.
01:55Now, this can be any kind of flour that you like.
01:58I personally used a mixture of oat flour and whole wheat flour, and then I also used a little bit of all-purpose because I didn't have enough of the whole wheat.
02:09But you can use spout flour, gluten-free, whatever it is that you like.
02:16And then we're going to pop in one teaspoon of baking soda, and three quarters of a teaspoon baking powder, half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a quarter teaspoon of salt.
02:29And then we're going to mix that all up just lightly with a spoon.
02:33And then in a separate bowl, we're going to combine all of the white ingredients.
02:38So we need two cups of tightly mashed bananas.
02:42Make sure these are super-duper ripe.
02:45In the end, I needed four bananas, but I guess this will vary depending on the size of the bananas that you have.
02:52Then we're going to pop in one-third a cup of almond milk, and one and a half teaspoons of vanilla extract, half a cup, and a little more of maple syrup.
03:05Or you could also use agave, some kind of sweetening syrup, but I like maple syrup the best.
03:11One and a half tablespoons of lemon juice.
03:14And then again, we're going to mix that all through, and then add that to the dry ingredients, and again, mix it all.
03:23And just use your hands or a spoon to mix it.
03:27You don't overmix.
03:28And then afterwards, we can pop in any kind of tasty things.
03:34So chocolate chips are always a winner.
03:37The ones I use here are mini chocolate chips from Enjoy Life.
03:40Um, I also normally like to put walnuts, chopped walnuts in there, but I didn't have any.
03:48Um, anything really that you want.
03:50And then we're going to pour that into a lightly greased with coconut oil pan.
03:55Um, I use like, like a square 8x8 type of pan.
04:00But you can also use a loaf tin.
04:02And then, I didn't do it this time, but it's also really nice for an extra little treat to sprinkle some brown sugar on top of the pan afterwards.
04:14Um, we're going to pour that in, even it out, and pop it in the oven, which I preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
04:23Now, if you are using the square pan like I did, then you want that to cook for about 25, maybe 30 minutes.
04:33But if you're using a loaf pan, you may want it to cook for a bit longer.
04:38Um, probably around 50 minutes.
04:40But just trial and error, do it with doing the, like, fork coming out clean trick.
04:48And you'll know when it's ready.
04:51Now, whilst that is cooking in the oven, you're going to get super duper bored.
04:55So this is where Best Fiends comes in.
04:58Pop on your phone and play away.
05:01I literally love this game so much.
05:03It is so addicting.
05:04And I just have a lot of fun playing it, and I think you guys would too.

05:13So once you take it out of the oven, you want that to sit for 10 minutes at least.
05:17Preferably a little bit more.
05:19Just helps with cutting and everything like that.
05:22I got a little impatient, so you can see the edges aren't as clean for that reason.
05:28And then dig in.
