נוסעת טעתה בזיהוי רעש כנביחה וניסתה לפתוח את דלת החירום של המטוס בסרטון דרמטי

נוסעת בטיסת JetBlue Airways ניסתה לפתוח את יציאת החירום לאחר שחשבה שרעש רגיל של המטוס הוא נביחה של כלב. התקרית התרחשה בעוד המטוס עדיין היה על הקרקע.  על פי אתר התעופה Aviation A2Z, הנוסעת נבהלה מרעש שנוצר על ידי יחידת העברת הכוח ההידראולית (PTU) – מערכת שמעבירה אנרגיה בין המנועים. הצליל הזה הוא רגיל לחלוטין בזמן הנעת מנוע או הסעה על מנוע אחד בלבד.  הנוסעת אף טענה בפני נוסעים אחרים כי המטוס "מקולקל" וביקשה מהצוות לעצור את הטיסה. דייל עצר אותה לפני שהמצב הידרדר.  המטוס נותר על הקרקע במהלך כל התקרית. אילו האישה הייתה מנסה לפתוח את הדלת בזמן הטיסה, היא לא הייתה מצליחה עקב לחץ האוויר הגבוה בתוך תא הנוסעים.  תמונות: X @aviationbrk
