00:00Well first and foremost it was an incredible opportunity to be given this
00:05is our third year of the program we've taken about 15 of our colleagues from
00:10the Isle of Manor South Africa out to Haruma to the orphanage over the last
00:15three years so feel very blessed and privileged to have been able to take
00:19part in it and to have been able to take so many of our colleagues with us on that
00:23experience. So in terms of work and we left the building of the construction
00:29of the buildings to the professionals in Tanzania so we didn't get any help
00:36we didn't help out with any of the building I didn't think they'd let us so
00:42it was kind of our job to go there spend time with the children and create a week
00:47of memories and connection and so we did that but we did actually end up building
00:53some go-karts for them so there was some building just not structural work you
00:57could say. When Anthony was first introduced to the orphanage they were
01:01about to lose their home so the land that they they've been gifted was about to be
01:06sold so the the immediate need for the orphanage was was some physical security
01:12so that was what our fundraising efforts went to in the first year to actually
01:16buy the land to give them that physical security in the first year
01:19thereafter our fundraising efforts have gone to advancing kind of the the property and
01:26estate that they they work on so in the in the second year that extended to
01:31building a kitchen block and a new dining area a toilet block for the for the
01:36children and a bit of a makeshift animal shelter for the for the animals that they
01:41have at the orphanage and then in our third year the year that we've just
01:45completed the funds purchased some additional land which enabled us to
01:49build a new animal shelter extend the toilet and the shower blocks for the for
01:55the children and also the carers that look after them and I guess the kind of
01:59culmination was the flagship building which is a daycare center so that enables
02:05the orphanage to now essentially generate an income by providing daycare
02:10facilities for the surrounding for the surrounding area so that kind of journey from
02:15near eviction through to to being able to self-sustain is is essentially what the
02:21whole program has been about and and the whole journey completes on that basis I mean
02:26I'd say from someone that's relatively new into the company really being here for around a
02:32year and I think the sense of community that I gained and you know being in situations
02:39where this is this is a lifelong memory that I will cherish for the rest of my
02:43life and and to be able to share that with colleagues I think that just I know
02:49now so many more people around the business in a different context than just in
02:53work and I think that's so important and you know I know I know who to ask a
02:58question to and that's just an added bonus I guess isn't it it's not it was
03:01never the aim but it is just yeah an added bonus of the of the whole trip this
03:07isn't this this exercise hasn't been about capital it's been about giving back
03:11to the community so Anthony is kind of been a figurehead in our conscious capital
03:17program which is about giving back to the communities in which we kind of
03:21operate so we have a number of programs in the Isle of Man which we support we
03:26have a number of programs in South Africa in Cape Town and Johannesburg and this
03:30has been a like I say a three year long program in Arusha and it's not like I
03:36say it's not for our benefit it's for the benefit of the community our
03:40obligation is to provide that that fundraising and that sponsorship that
03:44all goes directly to the orphanage and it's very important to make that point
03:48you know this isn't isn't a jolly or a holiday you know this is a community
03:54program and all the funds raised go directly to the orphanage I think aside from
03:59the the practical or the physical elements of what we've done you know to
04:03bring the the the orphanage from from near eviction to self-sustain that kind
04:10of personal or emotional side of it is as rewarding hopefully for the kids it
04:16certainly was for all of us that were part of it anyway I would definitely say
04:20the same I think I'm naturally quite good with kids anyway but I think these
04:25kids they were just so happy and they were so welcoming and I think they were
04:31so understanding as well you know and their English is brilliant and I think
04:37mine is probably worse to be fair Mama Eusebio who kind of is the lead in the
04:42orphanage read out quite an emotional speech at the end in terms of his import
04:49and and and contribution to the orphanage but also capital groups so capital
04:55internationals contribution to the orphanage over the past three years it
05:00sounds a bit cliche but it has been life-changing for them as I say to be on the
05:06face of eviction to now having that security to have showers toilets dining area to be
05:12able to generate that income for themselves it's just been you know a complete reversal in fortune so
05:18and she is obviously very appreciative the children are very appreciative but I
05:24think they were more appreciative of the time that they had with us to just be
05:26just be kids and muck about which is which is who doesn't like that I think
05:32rough rough estimate is about ninety four thousand pounds over the course of the
05:37time that we've been involved obviously each year that we've sent a
05:42delegation down there they've been responsible for their own fundraising
