00:00I think it speaks to the growing levels of violence that we've seen on the other side of
00:05the channel that the French police are having to contend with, but also local people in the areas
00:11around Calais and Dunkirk in particular, who are seeing very significant levels of violence. Every
00:19time the police intervene to try to stop any of these boats, it descends into chaos. And that's
00:25what we saw overnight last night into the early hours this morning, several hundred migrants
00:33that had gathered on Graveline Beach, which is near Dunkirk, with a view to trying to get across
00:41the English Channel today. Hundreds of others have made that journey today, by the way, but these
00:47migrants were prevented in that effort and it turned violent. There were fires that were lit
00:55in and around the shoreline. Petrol bombs were thrown at those French police officers in
01:04riot gear who moved in with tear gas and CS spray to try to disperse the migrants. So it
01:11could have been up to 300 migrants at Graveline Beach that we're trying to get across today.
01:18The numbers would have been far greater, those coming across today. As it is, Martin, we may
01:25be looking at about 350 who have crossed today. Already a couple of hundred are either here or
01:34border force vessel is on the route of trying to get them here to Dover. There's another couple of
01:43boats that have left and on route as well. We should say that a border force vessel absolutely
01:48packed to the gunwales. Two migrant boatloads on board is due in here, 30 to 40 minutes' time.
01:56Hopefully, Martin, we can bring you those images live when that vessel arrives here.
02:01We'll see you guys on the wall.
