00:00This is the only recording of a nurse who officially never existed, and what she says is absolutely terrifying.

00:05In 1971, during renovations at the old Hollow Creek Sanitarium, workers found audio tapes hidden inside a wall.

00:12They were labeled with a single word term what they heard, where you should never have been recorded.

00:16The voice was that of a woman saying,

00:18My name is Clara, and this is my eighth consecutive night watching over the dead.

00:22In the recordings, Clara described the routine in chilling detail.

00:26Identification bracelets were only placed after the patients were already dead.

00:29The beds were already cold when they arrived.

00:31She spoke about administering sedatives to bodies with no heartbeat, and how she learned never to look them directly in the eyes.

00:37Some still moved their lips but made no sound.

00:39At the end of the last tape, Clara's voice changed.

00:42She began to cry.

00:43I tried to leave, I tried to forget, but every time the clock strikes 3.33 I wake up here again.

00:48In a desperate whisper she ended with,

00:50I think I died on my first shift, they just forgot to tell me.

00:53There are no official records of any employee named Clara at the hospital,

00:57but her signature appears on several patient files,

00:59all of them marked with admission dates after death.
