Former Vice President Kamala Harris hinted at the Fortune MPW Summit that the 2024 presidential election likely won’t be the last you’ll see of her in politics.⁠

00:00There's another term that women get to have in their careers, which is sometimes a glass cliff.

00:06It's when a job is impossible, and you get to have it.

00:10Was yours, 107 days, the ultimate glass cliff?

00:14Oh, cliff to me suggests finality, and I'm not into that.

00:23But I will say this because I think you're raising such a wonderful point.

00:28And, you know, like many here, I've mentored a lot of people, in particular young women.

00:35And sometimes with a bit of frustration, I've said to them,

00:39do you think that breaking barriers means you start out on one side of the barrier

00:44and just end up on the other side of the barrier?

00:47No, there's breaking involved.

00:51And when you break things, you might get cut.

00:56And you might bleed.

00:58And it is worth it every single time.

01:03It is worth it every single time.

01:05But the thing we recognize is it is not without pain.
