00:01Elphaba has been marred to the Wicked Witch.

00:06Her look is matured. She is more developed.

00:10What I felt was important was that Elphaba continues to grow and change.

00:16As she becomes a more mature woman and takes hold of her power,

00:20everything that she chooses to wear is very intentional.

00:24It supports where she is emotionally and within her character.

00:28I wanted her to be mobile. We wanted her to feel badass.

00:32We gave her a boot, a trouser, and this fitted coat with a big collar.

00:37It just gave her more edge.

00:39The hat brim becomes bigger,

00:42and the peak of the hat grew a little bit taller.

00:45It's another step towards deconstructing

00:48what everyone else's idea of the Wicked Witch of the West is

00:53and making her persona her own.

00:58And added to that, the cape has expanded as well.

01:04That adds to the dramatic silhouette that I've created
