00:00Dart is not the only rookie leading the Giants' offense into new and different dimensions.
00:04Arizona State alum Cam Skadabo, the running back who has captured the nation's attention with his headbanging style,
00:10has become quite the bargain in the fourth round.
00:12For Week 6, Skadabo ranks third among rookie running backs in carries, 82,
00:16behind only Ashton Gianti and Quinshawn Judkins,
00:19fourth in rushing yards among rookies, behind only Gianti, Judkins, and Ja'Cory Krosky-Myrdha of the Washington Commanders,
00:25and no rookie running back has more touchdown runs than Skadabo's five.
00:28Against the Eagles, Skadabo really showed up.
00:31He gained 98 yards and scored three rushing touchdowns on 19 attempts.
00:3579 of those yards came after contact, and 47 came against stacked boxes featuring eight or more defenders.
00:41Skadabo recorded four explosive runs of 10-plus yards,
00:44and he was a big part of a Giants offense that is suddenly taking the pain to oppose some defenses,
00:49as opposed to feeling the pain, with undermanned options and no response.
00:53It's great that Dart and Skadabo already have an obvious personal connection,
00:56and Skadabo's folk hero status is a great story, but there's more here than meets the eye.
01:01Now on Sunday, the two rookies and the rest of the Giants have faced a very stern test
01:05in the Denver Broncos defense that has sacking and pressuring quarterbacks better than any other in the NFL,
01:10and has given up just 3.9 yards per carry, and only six runs of 10 or more yards.
01:15If Dart and Skadabo were able to navigate this credibly,
01:18they will have taken a desperately needed next step for an offense that has been falling backwards for years.
01:23And we'll see you next time.
