00:00Where is the Asia Cup kept and how can India get it back?
00:02That at the moment looks tough.
00:04According to reports, Asian Cricket Council Chief and Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsen Nakvi
00:08has directed that the trophy remain at the ACC headquarters in Dubai
00:11and not to be handed over to India without his approval.
00:14Nakvi had earlier allegedly taken their trophy to his hotel room
00:16after India refused to accept it from him following their win against Pakistan in the finals.
00:21Later, Nakvi reportedly proposed a private ceremony to personally present their trophy to Team India,
00:25a condition the team is unlikely to accept.
00:27There are two possible ways India can bring the cup back home.
00:30This is what reports are suggesting that they would want to impeach him as the president.
00:34But if you want to impeach him, then you need a two-thirds majority there.
00:38So there are 30 members of the Asian Cricket Council.
00:40India will have to look at other partners.
00:42You know, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, all these countries
00:45actually have one vote in that 30-member Asian Cricket Council.
00:49The BCCI can approach ICC's Ethics Committee and say that
00:53because as the president of the ACC, he could not uphold the sanctity of a tournament
00:59and there were many goof-ups that happened during the tournament,
01:01he can then tell the ICC's Ethics Officer
01:04and they can take some sort of an action against Mohsin Nakvi.
