00:00so you want to learn planning center planning center is an amazing tool that offers worship
00:11teams a central location to organize their worship experiences through this software
00:17you can schedule your team you can add the song list and you can set reminders so that
00:22your band knows what's going on at all times so today what we're going to learn how to create
00:29a song list how to schedule a team and send out an email and then we're also going to learn how to
00:35add a new team member and so the time stamps are here in case you want to skip ahead to one of those
00:41things but for now we're going to get ahead and get started chances are that you don't see every
00:49single folder but you might only see the one that you're in charge of or that you have access to
00:55for today i'm going to use the scottsdale folder and so we're going to click on the scottsdale campus
01:00and then we're going to we're going to use scottsdale as kind of like a guinea pig today
01:04let's go ahead and just click into january 12 2021
01:08to add a song that's already in our song list what you want to do is you want to find the praise and
01:16worship header after you find that you want to click this little green button
01:20and then this is what you'll see from here next it's pretty simple you're just going to come
01:27over here to this tab right here which says link a song and then we're going to search the song so
01:32let's say we want to do this is amazing grace i feel wickham of course so now we have the song
01:43in the system and then if you were ready to go then you'd press accept but let's say that you needed
01:49to change the key of the song this is where you can do that you can change the arrangement
01:53so for example jeremiah one of our worship leaders has his own arrangement that he's created
01:58and you would just click on this and then it would pull up that arrangement but i want to do the the
02:03phil wickham arrangement and i want it to be the key of g so then you come over to the key
02:09we pick g you come down here and you hit accept
02:14and there it is that's how easy it is to add a song so then after that you'd add let's let's create
02:20a full worship set so we're going to come over here link a song our second song would probably be
02:26um let's think about it let's just do another phil wickham song this is uh your love never your love
02:32awakens me it'll be a phil phil wickham weekend and let's do it in the same key now a lot of times what
02:39i also like to do is in this item description box here i will tell the the sound guy who's leading
02:44it so i'll put myself lead lake in another thing that you can do is let's say that we only want to
02:49do the tag is i would put here tag chorus now what you can also do is you can add come over here to
02:56this sequence and you can tell your team what order you want to do the song in so let's say we're
03:02going to do intro verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus chorus and something like that and that way
03:11your team knows exactly how we're going to do it but then you come down here and say accept
03:17sweet now we have two songs let's do a third song um let's do uh tremble by mosaic yep
03:28and we're just going to do every song in g this looks like a good a good sequence for me go ahead
03:40accept now we have a three song set and then we would let's finish off let's do an oldie oceans
03:49so now we have our set so now what we want to do is we need to make sure that our team is in so
04:05right now the tab that we've been in is actually this tab right is is is here and let's just get
04:11our team members in which you would come over here into the people tab so you're going to come over
04:15here and click people now what's cool about this is that scott sales template already has a bass
04:21player included a drum player included two guitars two keys so forth so let's just say that for this
04:27specific template there was nothing in here i want to show you where to start so what you would do
04:36is you come over here to add people you hover then we're going to click needed positions
04:42you're going to look at all these different things on the left what we need is scottsdale
04:47praise and worship so we're going to click it here we need one bassist we need one keyboardist let's just
04:54say we have three singers we have one drummer we have one guitarist and we have two worship leaders
04:59who are you accept and you'll see now in the scheduler now it's created this thing and and this is
05:06where it gets really easy is now all you have to do is find the person that you want so let's do
05:11pat collins for our drummer click it you drag it over pat collins oh worship leader and now you have
05:19pat collins in there so on and so forth you would do it for every single instrument exactly what i did
05:26you just find the person let's find me and you would drag them into that position
05:31for today i'm also so the next the next kind of topic that we're going is how do you send them how do
05:38notify them that they are scheduled so once you have your team built and once you have every single
05:43slot filled out you'd come over here to the top of the team and you go email and now this is going to
05:51create an email for your entire team so what i like to do is i like to keep that high first name in there
05:57but i like to put here what time we're having our service or hey hey team call time
06:05is 7am excited to worship with you
06:14this weekend
06:19and then it's that easy you go ahead and hit send
06:24and then right after that they'll get a notification on their planning center app as well as in their
06:31email and then from there you know how it works they can either accept or decline so now we've gone
06:37over how to create a song list for your team we've gone over how to schedule a team and how to send out
06:43an email so the the last thing that we're going to do is i'm going to show you how to import or how
06:48to add a new member to your team
06:50what you want to do is you come over here to people
06:55you're going to add a person
06:58and it's actually really easy because then what you're going to do is you're going to first search
07:02for that person so i'm going to search for my wife
07:04create new person
07:08and then what you want to what's very important is that you have the email address
07:13so you have the email address for the person then you have the phone number for the person
07:18and then you have you can put the the adult or child and then the gender
07:22what the gender does is it'll change the um it'll change the the kind of avatar for that person
07:30but really what's really important is that you have the email address that's how they'll get their
07:35um access to planning centers how they'll receive the uh invites and reminders
07:40and so you know planning center is a very powerful tool um for organization
07:46and for making sure that our teams are prepared and and ready to go for the weekend
07:51i encourage you use everything that this has i've kind of just scratched the surface
07:57of the organization
07:58and and what you can do with this app
08:01play around with it get get creative with it
08:04you can create templates which i'll show i'll show in a bit in another video
08:07you can create uh reminders
08:09um and so just play around with it you know the basics now
