Burnley's bowling venue undergoes a £1.2m refurbishment

After years of needing some love, the venue has been completely revitalized. 00:00We're a wonderful 24-lane bowling centre. We've been well established in Burnley for many, many years.

00:06Some would say over 30 years.

00:08The site, prior to Disco Ball taking over, was just lacking a bit of investment and love, basically.

00:17And what we've got now is plenty of love, a lot of investment.

00:22The company spent £1.2 million, or by the time it is finished, it will be £1.2 million on this venue alone.

00:28We've got new bowling lanes. There's more investment on the lanes to come.

00:33New seating, a scrapyard golf, a new bar reception area, new catering facilities, new arcade machines.

00:43And what's the response been like from the people at Burnley so far?

00:46Oh, fantastic. Really, really, really good.

00:49So we did think that maybe some people would be a bit hesitant to come while building work's going on, but it's not been the case.

00:54I think people have come down to have a look and see what all the hype's been about, and I don't think they've been disappointed whatsoever.

01:00And when do you think all the refurbishment will be completed back?

01:04Fingers are crossed for before half term. So before October half term, everything should be completed.
