Stop Comparing Yourself to Others || THE STORY OF AN UNHAPPY CROW #moralstory
Transcript
00:00Once upon a time, high up on a quiet oak tree, sat a lonely crow.
00:07Every morning he watched the sun rise and thought,
00:09Why was I even born like this?
00:13People threw stones at him, shooed him away,
00:16and no one ever smiled when they saw him.
00:19He felt unwanted, invisible.
00:23One day, as he sat there crying softly,
00:26an old monk walked by under the tree.
00:30A drop of the crow's tear landed on the monk's hand.
00:34Looking up, the monk said gently,
00:36Why are you crying, my little friend?
00:39The crow shobbed,
00:41No one loves me.
00:42I'm dark, ugly, and hated by everyone.
00:46If only I could be someone else, maybe then I'd finally be happy.
00:51The monk smiled kindly.
00:54Happiness, my friend, is never found by changing who you are.
00:58But if you truly wish to know, go and see the world.
01:03Ask those you think are happier than you, and then come back.
01:08So the crow spread his wings and flew off.
01:12First he met a swan gliding gracefully over a lake.
01:17Wow, the crow said.
01:19You're so white, so beautiful.
01:22Everyone must adore you.
01:24The swan sighed.
01:26White looks pure, but it's empty.
01:29I wish I had colors.
01:31Maybe the parrot is happier.
01:33So the crow flew to meet the parrot.
01:35Hey, parrot!
01:37You're bright, colorful, and people love you.
01:40You must be so happy.
01:42The parrot smiled sadly.
01:44People love me, but they also lock me in cages.
01:48I'm always scared someone will take away my freedom.
01:52Maybe the peacock is the lucky one.
01:54The crow flew again, this time to the city zoo.
01:59There he saw a peacock surrounded by a crowd of people taking photos.
02:03When the crowd left, the crow asked softly,
02:08You must be the happiest bird alive, right?
02:11The peacock shook his head.
02:13Everyone loves my colors, but because of them I'm trapped here.
02:18They take my feathers, they keep me locked up.
02:21Sometimes I just wish I could fly free, like you.
02:26The crow's heart froze.
02:28He couldn't believe it.
02:30The peacock wanted to be him.
02:32He flew back to the old oak tree where the monk was waiting.
02:37Landing gently, the crow smiled for the first time in his life.
02:42You were right.
02:43I don't want to be anyone else.
02:46I just want to be me, the crow who can fly wherever he wants.
02:51The monk nodded.
02:52Remember this.
02:54When you stop comparing, you start living.
02:57That day, the crow didn't see himself as black anymore.
03:02He saw himself as free.
03:05And sometimes, freedom is the most beautiful color in the world.
