At the Gaza Peace Summit in Egypt, US President Donald Trump expressed optimism about India-Pakistan relations, saying, “India is a great country with a very good friend of mine at the top. He has done a fantastic job. I think Pakistan and India are going to live very nicely together.” Standing beside him, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif smiled as Trump’s remark drew laughter from those present.

00:00:00U.S. President Donald Trump praises India at Egypt's summit, U.S. President Donald Trump says,
00:00:05and I quote, India is a great country with a very good friend of mine at the top and he has done a
00:00:11fantastic job. I think that Pakistan and India are going to live very nicely together. So that's
00:00:18the praise coming in from U.S. President Donald Trump amid the trade tensions between India and
00:00:22U.S. This praise coming in from U.S. President Donald Trump where he has praised India and
00:00:29Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well. Listen in.
00:00:35India is a great country with a very good friend of mine at the top and he's just done a fantastic
00:00:45job and I think that Pakistan and India are going to live very nicely together, right?
00:00:52That's not a very good. They are. They are. And they're two great, I tell you, leaders,
00:01:02great leaders as far as I'm concerned.
00:01:07And India Today Global's Pranay Upadhyay is now joining us. Pranay, a very good morning to you.
00:01:12So amid the tensions between India and United States over tariffs, this praise coming in from
00:01:17U.S. President Donald Trump that India is a great country. In fact, he has also praised Prime Minister
00:01:21Narendra Modi, but what is also pertinent to note is that he has talked about how India
00:01:26and Pakistan are going to live nicely together.
00:01:30I think this is not a praise, but in fact a fact that India is a great country. India has been a
00:01:37civilizational state. And if U.S. President Donald Trump has said that India is a great country,
00:01:41this is an acknowledgement of a fact. But on the other side, you know, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
00:01:47his friendship. And this is not for the first time that President Donald Trump has mentioned
00:01:52that he enjoys a good friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a good relation with
00:01:56India. And he has been to India. But on the other side, he also praised Pakistan. He also said
00:02:03Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also there. In fact, you know, he was trying to share,
00:02:12to express, you know, that how the United States shared a good relation with both Pakistan and India
00:02:18and how he want both India and Pakistan to live peacefully and like, you know, to be, have a
00:02:24friendly relationship. However, the fact remains that the relationship got derailed just because
00:02:30Pakistan has been sponsoring terrorism against India. And Pakistan has been harboring the terrorists,
00:02:36you know, who are, Pakistan has been sponsoring terrorism against India and harboring those
00:02:42who have been launching terror attacks against India. So, therefore, that remained an issue.
00:02:47Until that issue gets addressed, the relationship, the normalization is very difficult. And U.S.
00:02:54President Donald Trump, I'm sure he must be knowing this thing. But however, he expressed his desire
00:02:59and he said that, you know, he wants both countries are going to live very nicely together. And he
00:03:06remains, you know, he said on the sidelines of an event where the, in Sharma Sheikh, where the Gaza
00:03:15peace plan was being signed. So, therefore, the occasion was that, that he wanted peace, how he wanted
00:03:23to play a role in peacemaking. So, that was the reason. But the fact remained that he not only
00:03:29praised Pakistan, he also praised, he said that my favorite field marshal is Asim Munez.
00:03:35All right, Pranay, do stay with us. We're getting some more breaking news.
00:03:47Pakistan Prime Minister cozies up to Trump at Egypt peace summits as Trump stopped the war
00:03:53between India and Pakistan. Shaibad Sharif calls Donald Trump a great leader. In fact,
00:03:58Shaibad Sharif says, give Trump a Nobel Peace Prize. Prime Minister Modi in Parliament had earlier
00:04:05said that Pakistan begged for the ceasefire during the conflict between India and Pakistan. And
00:04:11Prime Minister Modi also said that no one mediated the peace between India and Pakistan. But in the
00:04:17latest, the Pakistan Prime Minister himself has now claimed that Donald Trump stopped the war between
00:04:23India and Pakistan. Let's listen.
00:04:25Prime Minister Modi in Parliament. I would say that Pakistan had nominated President Donald Trump for
00:04:40Nobel Peace Prize for his outstanding, extraordinary contributions to first stop war between India and Pakistan,
00:04:53and then achieve ceasefire along with his very wonderful team. And today, again, I would like to nominate
00:05:07this great president for Nobel Peace Prize.
00:05:15And Pranay Upadhyay continues to stay with us. Pranay, appeasement at its best. Now,
00:05:19Shaibad Sharif is also echoing the lines of Donald Trump saying that it was Donald Trump
00:05:24who resolved the conflict between India and Pakistan.
00:05:28Absolutely. This is not for the first time, Manjali. Pakistan has given credit to the ceasefire
00:05:33of 10th May between India and Pakistan to the United States and that too, specifically US President Donald Trump.
00:05:40However, the fact remains that it was actually a phone call by the Pakistani DGMO.
00:05:47And, you know, they asked for a ceasefire because they were badly hit by the strikes
00:05:52of the Indian Air Force on 10th of May. However, not for the first time the Pakistani Prime Minister
00:06:00has mentioned this fact, but also this is for the first time. I think he got a chance to meet
00:06:05U.S. President thrice within a span of less than a month. So definitely he has reason to cozy up to
00:06:13U.S. President Donald Trump because this is a different and a new phase of U.S.-Pakistan relation.
00:06:20And that's why he wants to cozy up. He wants more aid. He wants more support from the United States.
00:06:27And, you know, in fact, Pakistan is eyeing that, you know, on Kashmir issue or on the other issues,
00:06:33they would be able to get support from the United States. And this is not for the first time that
00:06:39Pakistan is trying to cozy up with the United States and, you know, get their support on their
00:06:46geopolitical objectives. However, as far as the India-United States relations are concerned,
00:06:52as far as the India-Pakistan relations are concerned, you know, India has always maintained
00:06:56that the bilateral issues should be bilateral and that there is no reward of any third-party
00:07:02mediation. And in fact, you know, U.S. President Donald Trump, even during his previous tenure
00:07:09and then when he met the then Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, he suggested that, you know,
00:07:15he has been asked to play a role in mediating on the issue of Kashmir. However,
00:07:20on, you know, on the other occasion when Prime Minister Mareen Modi met the U.S. President Donald Trump,
00:07:27he then and there, he said that, you know, we do not want to involve third parties. We do not want
00:07:33any other country to play a role because we know how to resolve our issues. We have been, you know,
00:07:41one country, in fact, till about like, you know, 70, 80 years ago. So, we know how to resolve our issue.
00:07:47And India and the issues of between India and Pakistan will always remain bilateral issues.
00:07:53Absolutely, Pranay. Thank you so much for those details and for that context. So,
00:07:56we know how to resolve our issues and there was no mediation in the India-Pakistan conflict.
00:08:03Prime Minister Modi had stated this fact in the parliament, but despite that,
00:08:06Shaibar Sharif appeasing Donald Trump, claiming that it was Donald Trump who resolved the conflict.
00:08:11The world witnessed historic moment in the Middle East in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh.
00:08:20U.S. President Donald Trump has signed a landmark Gaza ceasefire declaration,
00:08:24marking what he called the dawn of a new Middle East. Trump was joined by the leaders of Egypt,
00:08:30Turkey and Qatar, who co-signed the declaration, formalizing a fragile peace after two years of
00:08:36devastating conflict. Over 30 nations participated in the summit, but notably Israeli Prime Minister
00:08:41Benjamin Netanyahu skipped the event. Trump hailed President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's pivotal role in
00:08:48brokering the deal, saying that the phase two talks on Gaza have begun and that now the building,
00:08:54the rebuilding of Gaza begins. He praised Sisi as a powerful leader and reaffirmed that U.S. stands with
00:09:00Egypt all the way. Global leaders have welcomed the breakthrough. Prime Minister Modi also hailed
00:09:05Trump's unwavering peace efforts and Netanyahu's strong resolve.
00:09:11Monumental day. This is a monumental moment in the history of the world beyond the Middle East.
00:09:17We've all agreed that supporting Gaza must be done to lift up the people themselves, but we don't want
00:09:25to fund anything having to do with the bloodshed, hatred or terror, as has happened in the past. And for
00:09:32the same reason, we're also agreed that Gaza's reconstruction requires that it be
00:09:38demilitarized and that a new honest civilian police force must be allowed to create a safe condition
00:09:44for the people in Gaza. As I said earlier, I intend to be a partner in securing a better future.
00:09:52We're going to be working. You're going to be working with the United States and we're going to make sure
00:09:57that the Middle East is going to be a safe and secure place. It's a very important place in the world,
00:10:03means so much. There were so many people who said the Middle East, and this has been going for many,
00:10:08many decades. I've read it many times that World War III will begin in the Middle East. It's not going
00:10:13to happen. That's not going to happen. There was a time that you would have thought it could have,
00:10:17but it's not going to happen. There won't be World War III, hopefully at all, but it's not going to start in
00:10:23the Middle East. We're not going to have a World War III if we're smart. It'll never be a World War III.
00:10:27After years of suffering and bloodshed, the war in Gaza is over. Humanitarian aid is now pouring in,
00:10:35including hundreds of truckloads of food and medical equipment and other supplies, much of it
00:10:41paid for by people in this room. Civilians are returning to their homes. The hostages are
00:10:46reuniting. I mean, it's beautiful. I'm just watching it backstage, the level of love and sorrow.
00:10:54I've never seen anything like it. It's amazing when you see they haven't seen their mother, their father.
00:11:01They haven't seen them in such a long time, and they lived in a tunnel, a very little tunnel,
00:11:08very deep. And the level of love is just incredible. It's a beautiful thing to see. In one sense,
00:11:14it's so horrible that it could have taken place, but in another sense, it's so beautiful to see. A new
00:11:19and beautiful day is rising, and now the rebuilding begins.
00:11:25And India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai also spoke with Efrat Machikawa, the niece of Gadi Moses,
00:11:31the eldest hostage who was released in February.
00:11:37Give us a sense of what this day means to you and others who've suffered enormously in the last two
00:11:43years.
00:11:45I would like to thank you first for having me and for discussing this very, very important
00:11:52humanitarian subject. Thank you very much. Today has been a very, very long day. It feels as if
00:12:00it's been 738 days long, one long day. We have been fighting since October 7th, 2023,
00:12:11after the atrocity, the brutal kidnap and the violent murder of many, many of our people.
00:12:20This just fight was in order to release and to return every single hostage back home. And when the
00:12:29day arrived, it just seems as half reality and the other half was almost unbelief. There's a lot of
00:12:41sense of relief that the hostages are coming back. But you know, we are on a roller coaster. On one hand, we are
00:12:51full of joy and happiness. But on the other hand, we do have 28 more hostages, deceased hostages that were
00:13:01either kidnapped as dead buddies, who does such a thing, or kidnapped alive and executed in the tunnels.
00:13:14It's a very sad, it's the greatest agony. And that is so hard to actually comprehend.
00:13:26So we move from joy to sadness, from happiness to worry. But that is the situation and we need to deal
00:13:34with it. We cannot change what happened. But we can not be defined by what happened.
00:13:42We should be defined by what we do for future from now on.
00:13:46And we're now getting some breaking news. Haryana IPS officer's suicide case. The DGP has been sent on
00:14:00leave. Haryana government has sent the state DGP Shatrujit Kapoor on leave amid opposition's attack on
00:14:05the BJP dispensation over the IPS officer Vaipurant Kumar's alleged suicide and demand by Kumar's family
00:14:12for action against officers accused of harassing him. The late-night development came days after
00:14:18the state government transferred Narendra Bijarnia, the then-Rohatak's SP.
00:14:23And we're now being joined by my colleague Kamaljeet Sandhu with more details on this. Kamaljeet,
00:14:29the officer, the DGP, who was named in the suicide note has now been sent on leave. Give us more details.
00:14:35Almost a week after Vaipurant Kumar's suicide case where he actually claims two people. One is the DGP
00:14:45Shatrujit Kapoor. The other is the SP Rotak Narendra Bijarnia. Now, what we know is, as far as the
00:14:52government is concerned, they have posted out the SP Rotak way earlier. But what happened with
00:14:57Shatrujit Kapoor is being head of the force, he was made to stay for a week long. And this is where
00:15:04criticism really came in as to what was being done. At least he could have been asked to proceed on
00:15:09leave. Now, the family has been very adamant, one, that the DGP needs to be removed, and then he has
00:15:15to be arrested. Now, that was something which was difficult because, remember, almost a dozen
00:15:20officers, both IS and ITS officers, were named as far as allegations on caste-based discrimination is
00:15:26concerned. They were also talking about invoking stringent FIR notification, which basically means
00:15:32there will be no anticipatory bail that there would be an immediate arrest. So, what has transpired is
00:15:39a whole lot of politicians making a beeline to the residents of Vaipur and Kumar beating the family.
00:15:45Today, we are expecting Rahul Gandhi by around 10-15 to be at the residence. We also know as far as
00:15:53Rambas, Athavale is concerned. So, several other opposition, including Bhagawan Taman, top leaders are
00:15:59concerned. So, they have been coming here. And this has been a major embarrassment, especially for the
00:16:05Senni government, who is concluding just about one year in government. And this is where, what we also
00:16:12know is that the 17th October rally of Prime Minister, though we cannot link it this far. So, whole
00:16:18lot of things are happening where one is caste-based discrimination, one is the politics, one is
00:16:24obviously the discrimination allegations coming against top officers. And there was a lot of pressure
00:16:29created, but it looked like Senni government was sustaining that particular pressure despite the
00:16:35family demands. But there was also a maha panchayat. So, what has happened now is sources indicate to us,
00:16:41and remember there's no official order as of now. Sources do indicate to us that finally the deadlock has
00:16:47opened because Shatrujit Kapoor has been sent on leave, which also means there would be an officiating
00:16:53DDP. But remember, as the day progresses, we would know much more. But what we know from our sources
00:16:59is very clear that Shatrujit Kapoor, his staying as DDP became untenable the moment he was named in
00:17:06a fire by Chandigarh Police on allegations of caste-based discrimination leading to suicide of Vaipur and
00:17:11Kumar. All right, Kamal Ji, thank you for getting us those details. So, the latest update as far as the
00:17:16Haryana officer suicide case is concerned is that the DGP, Haryana DGP, has been sent on leave.
00:17:37The Bihar battle for the ballot is testing political parties' alliances. Insiders say that NDA is
00:17:43struggling to finalise a deal, while reports say that Congress and RJD are also debating over two
00:17:48to three seats. Sources say the JDU is unhappy with LJP's seat demands and key constituencies like
00:17:55Rajgir, Son Barsa, Morva and Tarapur remain points of contention. While the deal is still pending,
00:18:01JDU has already begun shortlisting candidates, even pledging tickets in several constituencies.
00:18:06A top huddle at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's residence saw approvals for multiple candidates,
00:18:11including Bihar JDU Chief Umesh Kishwaha and Minister Ratnesh Sada.
00:18:16Now, meanwhile, on the opposition front, the talks in the Mahagat Bandhan continue. Sources confirm the
00:18:21seat-sharing formula between the RJD and Congress is almost final, with Congress likely to get around
00:18:2760 seats, as talks continue over just two to three constituencies. But both sides insist there's no
00:18:33dispute. Tijasvi Yadav striking a confident note said that all is well between the allies and that
00:18:39a formal announcement will come in two to three days.
00:18:41Tijasvi Yadav striking and strong
00:18:44then support the
00:18:44Kishwaha and the
00:19:11We will complete this in one day.
00:19:14How is our attention to people of Bihar, how is the direction of Bihar, how is the direction of Bihar, how is the direction of Bihar, how is the direction of Bihar.
00:19:25You hear, the announcement that we will do in one day.
00:19:29No matter what is happening, everything is fine.
00:19:32When we talk about 6th city, we have a pain in our mind.
00:19:36We are also sad, but we will be proud that we will be proud of the nation in Bihar, how will the government become in Bihar.
00:19:47And the last month of the Sankhya, people will win the Sankhya.
00:19:55And now shifting focus, Pakistan is burning.
00:19:58Violent protests have erupted across Pakistan, even as situation at the Afghan border remains tense.
00:20:04Islamist groups' pro-Palestine march turned violent, with clashes reported from Lahore to Muridke, where at least 15 people have been killed and dozens have been injured in fierce clashes between the anti-Israel protesters and police.
00:20:17Streets have been set ablaze, vehicles torched and baton charges reported through the night, as anger over the Gaza peace deal spills into Pakistan's heartland.
00:20:27Now, the situation remains volatile, with curfews imposed on parts of Punjab province and heavy police deployment continuing through the night.
00:20:34And as the Afghanistan-Pakistan tensions remain high, US President Donald Trump has stepped in, offering once again to mediate.
00:20:41Speaking at a peace forum, Trump offered to resolve the issue, saying that I'm good at solving wars, positioning himself once more as a global deal-maker.
00:20:50Meanwhile, India today has learned that Pakistan's Defence Minister Kwaja Asif's visa request to Kabul has been rejected multiple times.
00:20:58Sources also confirm that Afghanistan has also denied entry to the ISI chief and two senior Pakistani generals, signalling a major diplomatic freeze between Islamabad and Kabul.
00:21:08And at the top of this hour, we're getting some breaking news from Jammu and Kashmir, where two terrorists have been killed by security forces along the line of control in Kupwara.
00:21:20So that's the breaking news that's coming in.
00:21:22There was an infiltration bid that has been foiled and two terrorists have been killed by the security forces along the line of control in Kupwara.
00:21:31My colleague Ashraf Vani is now joining us with more details on this.
00:21:35Ashraf, what more details are we gathering?
00:21:37We're learning that two terrorists have been killed by the security forces.
00:21:41Yes, Anjali, absolutely.
00:21:42Two infiltrators had been killed on the line of control in the Mutshil sector, which is in the Kupwara district of North Kashmir.
00:21:50There was an infiltration attempt by the terrorists on the line of control in Kupwara sector.
00:21:55Yesterday evening, that infiltration bid was foiled by the alert armed forces on the line of control.
00:22:03And there was a gun fire between the terrorists and the security forces.
00:22:08Now that we are getting the confirmation from the army that two terrorists had been killed in this ongoing operation.
00:22:15There might be any more infiltrators in the area.
00:22:19That is why the search and cordon operation is currently going on.
00:22:23Anjali, this is very important that this time is the peak time of infiltration because before the snowfall on the peak on line of control,
00:22:33the handlers of the terrorists tried to push more and more terrorists into the Jumat Kashmir.
00:22:39That is why the security forces are on a high alert all across the line of control in Jumat Kashmir.
00:22:46All right, Ashraf, thank you for getting us those details.
00:22:49We'll keep coming back here for more updates on this operation.
00:22:52And we're now getting some more breaking news.
00:23:04Prove into Haryana Cops' suicide intensifies.
00:23:07Now, in the latest, Chandigarh police have sent a notice to IPS Puran Kumar's IES wife asking for her deceased husband's laptop.
00:23:15Now, according to Chandigarh police, IPS Puran Kumar's laptop is a major evidence related to his death.
00:23:21And the laptop is a key evidence in the top cop suicide and is very significant for the investigation.
00:23:28Actually, Chandigarh police should send the laptop to the CFSL lab to verify the authenticity of IPS Puran Kumar's suicide note
00:23:36so that it can be confirmed that IPS Puran Kumar himself wrote this suicide note in which he has named a lot of officers as well.
00:23:45And in fact, this is the same laptop in which IPS Puran Kumar's suicide note was saved in draft.
00:23:50So, Chandigarh police is now seeking that the wife of IPS Puran Kumar hand over that laptop to the police for the investigation in this case
00:24:01because the laptop is a significant and the key evidence for the investigation.
00:24:07My colleague Aman Bahadwaj is now joining us with more details on this.
00:24:11Aman, Chandigarh police is now seeking the laptop of IPS Puran Kumar Singh from his wife.
00:24:17But we've also learned earlier that the family is quite reluctant in handing over the laptop to the police.
00:24:22Yes, because there's a family seeking justice and their major demand is that DGP Shatrujit Kapoor, who is a DGP in Haryana,
00:24:31who has been sent on leave as well now, they're asking that he should be arrested on priority first
00:24:37and the persons named in the FIR or in the suicide note, the action should be taken on them.
00:24:44Then the family would initiate any sort of cooperation or will move further in this case.
00:24:50And not only the laptop or the other documents that have been asked by the Chandigarh police,
00:24:55but also there's been Chandigarh police has asked the family wife Amneet Kaur to come and identify the body
00:25:03and further also requested for the post-mortem because the body is at the mortuary in PGI.
00:25:09So, there are several sort of communication that is being made by the Chandigarh police
00:25:13and it has also been conveyed by the Chandigarh police yesterday as well
00:25:16that several people mentioned in the suicide note, they have also been asked for the cautioning.
00:25:24The letter has been written for the Haryana government as well to caution the several officers
00:25:30and to execute the case.
00:25:32And also from 11th of October, the SIT, which has been made of six members by Chandigarh police,
00:25:38it is in Rotak.
00:25:39They have sealed several documents.
00:25:43They are inquiring information regarding how the case happened,
00:25:49how the posting has been here of Vaipurant Kumar.
00:25:54So, in that case, whether it's Rotak or Chandigarh, Chandigarh police, SIT has been investigating
00:25:59and they are also communicating whether the family is there or his laptop is there
00:26:03as per as the case is moving further with the execution and with the investigation.
00:26:11But politics is also there, Anjali, because today Rahul Gandhi is visiting,
00:26:16Chirag Pashwan is visiting.
00:26:17Right.
00:26:17But, apparently, investigation by the Chandigarh police is also what continues.
00:26:23All right, Aman, thank you for getting us those details.
00:26:25We'll keep coming back here for more updates on the story.
00:26:28As of now, we're shifting focus.
00:26:29We're getting some more breaking news.
00:26:48And we now get you the big inside scoop on the Mahagat Bandhan seat sharing.
00:26:52As per sources, we're learning that Tejasvi Yadav is set to be the CM phase for the Mahagat Bandhan.
00:26:58Sources also tell India today that there will be no deputy chief minister,
00:27:02which will be named by the Mahagat Bandhan.
00:27:04And if you talk about the seat share, the RJD is expected to fight on 135 seats,
00:27:10whereas the Congress, as per sources, will be contesting on 61 seats.
00:27:14The VIP will contest on 16, and CPI, ML, CPI, and CPM may get 29 to 31 seats.
00:27:23That's the scoop that we're getting as far as the Mahagat Bandhan seat sharing is concerned.
00:27:27My colleague, Mausumi Singh, is also joining us.
00:27:31But before that, we'll tell you about the scoop on the Mahagat Bandhan seat sharing.
00:27:37Now, as per sources, Tejasvi Yadav is set to be the CM phase for the Mahagat Bandhan.
00:27:43And no deputy chief minister will be named by the Mahagat Bandhan, is also what the sources tell us.
00:27:48If we talk about the seat sharing, the RJD will be contesting on 135 seats, as per sources.
00:27:55And the Congress may contest on 61 seats.
00:27:59And a big Mahagat Bandhan seat blues scoop.
00:28:09Rahul versus RJD stick to their guns.
00:28:12Key Congress, RJD need inconclusive.
00:28:15They just re-told Congress.
00:28:16Alliance is stuck now.
00:28:18Congress unwilling to contest losing seats.
00:28:21RJD refuses to part with three seats.
00:28:23Key seats to Congress.
00:28:25Big split over Kehelgaon, Narkatya Ganj and Vaishali Ganj.
00:28:30Tejasvi Yadav doesn't kharge Rahul.
00:28:34So, that's the breaking news that's coming in.
00:28:36There's Rahul versus RJD that's going on in the Mahagat Bandhan.
00:28:41And the meet was inconclusive.
00:28:44And Tejasvi Yadav has told Congress that the alliance is stuck now.
00:28:48My colleague, Mausumi Singh, is now joining us with more details on this.
00:28:51Mausumi, we're learning that the meeting between Congress and RJD was inconclusive.
00:28:56And there's contention for two to three seats.
00:28:59Give us more details.
00:29:00So, clearly, the big takeaway of yesterday's hectic meetings and parles is, Anjali, there
00:29:08are three big takeaways.
00:29:09One is that Tejasvi Yadav told Congress leaders that the alliance could not proceed in this
00:29:16manner because the Congress was adamant on taking about four or five specific seats that
00:29:21it considers are either traditional bastions or the Congress did well in the past assembly's
00:29:27elections.
00:29:27And there was a close fight.
00:29:29And that tussle went on because the Congress said we could take 60-61 seats, but not like
00:29:35the last time, you know, take the leftovers.
00:29:38And Tejasvi then left the question hanging in the air and returned to Patna without meeting
00:29:44Mr. Karge or Rahul Gandhi in person as far as the optics are concerned.
00:29:49The second hurdle is that Rahul Gandhi has told the Congress leaders to drive a hard bargain
00:29:55and not take the baggage of the past with the Congress to lower down the strike rate.
00:30:01So, that's why, you know, the confidence of the Bihar Congress leaders in bargaining with Tejasvi is stemming from, that they are adamant on getting certain specific seats.
00:30:14And we are told that the RJD is okay with giving the Congress 60-63 seats, but there's no clarity over those demand of over those seats that the Congress is asking.
00:30:26And Tejasvi said that he would revert and get back to the Congress and he hasn't got back.
00:30:32So, Tuesday morning, the first half is going to be extremely crucial.
00:30:37And the third big point is that there is suspense over VIP, whether the VIP would be a part of the alliance or not.
00:30:46Our sources tell us that Tejasvi himself is not very sure about the VIP.
00:30:51There are reports about him being in touch with the other camp.
00:30:54And the fact that VIP has distributed symbols on many seats that are RJD's stronghold has missed the other.
00:31:03So, even ask Congress leaders whether taking along VIP was a good idea.
00:31:08All right, Maasumi, thank you for getting us all those details.
00:31:11In fact, we'll keep coming back here for more updates on this.
00:31:15So, tensions clearly prevailing in the Mahagatbandhan.
00:31:17All does not seem to be well within the alliance.
00:31:21It's Rahul versus RJD.
00:31:22Key Congress-RJD meet was inconclusive.
00:31:25Tejasvi Yadav told Congress that alliance is stuck now.
00:31:28The Congress party is unwilling to contest on losing seats.
00:31:32And RJD, on the other hand, has refused to part with three key seats to Congress.
00:31:37Now, there's a big split over Kehelgaon, Nar Katya Ganj and Vaishali Ganj.
00:31:41Tejasvi Yadav left and he did not even meet Malik Arjun Kargay and Rahul Gandhi.
00:31:46So, the Bihar battle for the ballot is testing political parties' alliances.
00:31:53Insiders say that NDA is struggling to finalise a deal, while reports say that Congress and RJD are also debating over two to three seats.
00:32:02Sources say the JDU is unhappy with LGP's seat demands and key constituencies like Rajgir, Son Barsa, Morwa and Tarapur remain points of contention.
00:32:11While the deal is still pending, JDU has already begun shortlisting candidates, even pledging tickets in several constituencies.
00:32:19A top huddle at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's residence saw approvals for multiple candidates, including Bihar JDU Chief Umesh Kushwaha and Minister Ratnesh Sada.
00:32:28Now, meanwhile, the opposition front.
00:32:30The talks in the Mahagatwandan continue.
00:32:32Sources confirmed the seat-sharing formula between the RJD and Congress is almost final, with Congress likely to get around 60 seats, as talks continue over just two to three constituencies.
00:32:43But both sides insist there's no dispute.
00:32:46Tejasvi Yadav, striking a confident note, said that all is well between the allies and that a formal announcement will come in the next two to three days.
00:32:54Sources say the
00:33:20We think that in one day we will complete it.
00:33:28Our attention is how the people of Bihar have grown in Bihar.
00:33:34How do we work on Bihar's development?
00:33:39You hear the announcement that we will do it in one day.
00:33:43There is no doubt, everything is okay.
00:33:46There is no doubt in mind.
00:33:51But we will do it.
00:33:55We will do it in Bihar's development in Bihar's development.
00:34:01There is no doubt in Bihar's development in Bihar's development.
00:34:07We will do it in Bihar's development.
00:34:12We will do it in Bihar's development.
00:34:17We will do it in Bihar's development.
00:34:22And now let us take a look at the key hurdles in the Mahagat Pandhan.
00:34:27Now let us take a look at the key hurdles in the Mahagat Pandhan.
00:34:39Now the first hurdle is that the Congress is pushing for 60 seats,
00:34:56whereas the RJD is just offering 52 seats to the Congress Party.
00:35:00The second hurdle is that there is no consensus on the Chief Minister face.
00:35:04Remember, the Congress has been asked multiple times if Tejasui is going to be the Chief Minister face for the Mahagat Pandhan,
00:35:10but no reaction from any of the Congress leaders.
00:35:13The third hurdle is that all parties back Tejasui as the Chief Minister except the Congress Party, as I was mentioning earlier.
00:35:20Now the fourth hurdle is that VIP is seeking 20 seats and they're also seeking the Deputy Chief Minister's post,
00:35:28which is also a point of contention within the Mahagat Pandhan.
00:35:32The fifth hurdle is that there's standoff over 12 key seats and the discussions over these 12 key seats is still on.
00:35:39There's no decision that has been taken on these important 12 seats.
00:35:43The sixth hurdle is that Tejasui Yadav and Rahul failed to mirror Lalu Yadav and Sonia Gandhi's chemistry.
00:35:50So they're not on the same page and that is also posing as a challenge for the Mahagat Pandhan.
00:35:56Now let's also take a look at the NDA seat sharing deal, which seems to be in limbo.
00:36:03Now Ally seats and the core flashpoint.
00:36:06We'll take you through the core flashpoints in the NDA.
00:36:09Now the first one is that Jitona Manji and Kushwaha are unhappy with the seat sharing that has been given to Chirag Paswan.
00:36:18And the second point of contention is that the BJP is now locking horns with the JDU over three to four crucial seats for the allies.
00:36:27JDU is also protesting for Rajgir and Morva going to Chirag Paswan.
00:36:32So the JDU is clearly unhappy with the seats, the number of seats and the seats that have been given to LJP.
00:36:40Now the BJP and JDU jostle for Tegras seats.
00:36:43So there's a battle between BJP and JDU.
00:36:45They are fighting for the Tegras seat.
00:36:47And there's also no clear command.
00:36:50Leadership crisis also fuels seat war.
00:36:53Remember, the JDU and the BJP will be contesting on 101 seats.
00:36:59And this is the first time that JDU and BJP will be contesting on equal number of seats in assembly elections.
00:37:06And with seat sharing deal still unconfirmed, let's look what already has happened for the upcoming Bihar elections.
00:37:19The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and BJP leader Samrat Choudhury is all set to file nomination papers on October 16 from the Tarapur seat.
00:37:28This comes Amit Dangal over seat allocation within the NDA.
00:37:32During 2020 elections and 2021 by elections, JDU not only contested but also won on this seat.
00:37:39The NDA seat sharing is finalized but tussle continues.
00:37:46The H.A.M. chief Jitun Ramanji has shown disappointment with just six seats in his account.
00:37:52But his statement has made it very clear that he won't leave NDA and he fully trusts Narendra Modi's vision.
00:38:02RJD's Tejasvi Yadhar will file nomination papers for the Ragopur seat on October 15.
00:38:08As of now, there is no announcement of the seat sharing deal in the Mahagat Bandhan.
00:38:12But according to sources, RJD will contest on 135 seats while Congress will contest on 61 seats.
00:38:22And Tej Pratap Yadhar has announced that he will contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections from the Mahua constituencies in Vaishali district.
00:38:29He had won the Hassanpur Consequences in the 2020 elections as an RJD candidate.
00:38:35But following his expulsion from the party earlier this year, he has decided to shift back to Mahua.
00:38:49So there seems to be several points of contentions within the Mahagat Bandhan as well as the NDA also.
00:38:56In the Mahagat Bandhan, the seat sharing deal has still not been finalized.
00:39:00In fact, as per the latest details, the meeting between RJD and the Congress top brass was also inconclusive.
00:39:07The Congress was demanding 60 seats.
00:39:09There's two to three seats is where the talks are stuck.
00:39:13And the RJD and Congress are still having discussions on key two to three seats.
00:39:19If we talk about the NDA, the allies also do not seem to be really happy with the seat sharing.
00:39:26The H.A.M. and the J.D.U. are unhappy with the number of seats and the key seats being given to Chirag Pass 1.
00:39:35And the H.A.M. chief Jitunam Manji in fact also expressed disappointment over just getting six seats.
00:39:43But he also made it clear that he won't be leaving the NDA.
00:39:47Remember, 101 seats each have been allocated to BJP and J.D.U.
00:39:52And six seats have been given to the H.A.M. whereas 29 seats have been given to LJP.
00:40:01And we're now getting some more inputs.
00:40:03RJD ally VIP is out in the cold.
00:40:06Tejasui wary of VIP chief Sahni's intentions.
00:40:10VIP out in the cold.
00:40:12Tejasui also seems to be wary of the actions of Vikashil Insan Party.
00:40:18Chief Mukesh Sahni, a senior leader speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Tejasui Yadav was miffed with Sahni
00:40:25and felt that he was unreliable and asking for too much.
00:40:29There were reports of Sahni lobbying with the BJP even as source in the party denied these allegations.
00:40:35Tejasui Yadav lamp-tried in the meeting that Sahni had already distributed party symbols on almost 10 seats that belonged to RJD
00:40:44and was creating a lot of confusion.
00:40:47Congress leaders present in the meeting stared away from indulging in VIP's pressure tactics
00:40:52and stated that the decision to retain or drop the VIP party is with Tejasui
00:40:56and Congress would go along with whatever he decides.
00:40:59So that's the latest that's coming in.
00:41:00Mausumi Singh, my colleague, is now joining us with more details on this.
00:41:04Mausumi clearly cracks within the Mahagat Bandhan.
00:41:07It seems like VIP will no more be a part of the Mahagat Bandhan as Tejasui Yadav is reportedly miffed with Sahni.
00:41:16Anjali, clearly you know these are last minute glitches and bargaining tactics that are on.
00:41:25Many things are said for messaging as well.
00:41:29But you know Tuesday morning the first half is going to be crucial as far as you know the fate of whether the VIP is in the Mahagat Bandhan or not is also concerned.
00:41:41Remember Mr. Mukesh Sahni was here in Delhi camping yesterday.
00:41:45He was waiting for an audience with Rahul Gandhi but he did not meet any of the leaders and went back to Patna.
00:41:52And we are told that Tejasui would be talking to JMM, Mr. Paras and Mukesh Sahni and the left parties to in fact finalize what the seat sharing formula will be.
00:42:05But you know there is a lot of distrust as far as the VIP party is concerned right from the beginning because there have been speculations that he's been in touch with the other camp.
00:42:17And that's what our sources tell us that even Tejasui Yadav is in two minds whether to go along, drop the VIP or take the VIP along.
00:42:28But in clear terms we will have to wait and see what are the developments in the day.
00:42:35Does Mr. Sahni go by the seats that RGD is offering and how does he course correct as far as the Congress is concerned is the big question.
00:42:45Right Mausami also if the VIP pathway is with the Mahagat Bandhan and joins the NDA, how could this impact the Mahagat Bandhan in the polls?
00:42:54Lots of ifs and buts but we have seen Bihar politics, U-turns and about turns in the last moment.
00:43:03We saw Chirag Paswan walk out of the NDA last time and even Mr. Sahni walk out of the opposition camp.
00:43:11So you know nothing can be ruled out but at this moment perhaps you know I had late night conversation with many in the VIP as well and they seem to be reaching out to Tejasui Yadav and the opposition camp.
00:43:28Assuring that they were very much with the Mahagat Bandhan.
00:43:32So I think these are hectic parlays, a climb down from 60 seats that the VIP demanded and then 40 and then 30 and perhaps 2 or 10, 12 could perhaps make the deal for the VIP.
00:43:46But that said the underlining factors that there is suspicion over its role.
00:43:53Alright Mausami, thank you for getting us those details.
00:43:55We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on the tensions within the Mahagat Bandhan.
00:44:00As of now we're getting some more inputs.
00:44:10Late night high voltage drama in Yadav Parivar.
00:44:13Last night high voltage drama unfolded within the RJD.
00:44:16Several RJD candidates were summoned to Rabri Devi's residence yesterday evening and given symbols.
00:44:22Before Tejasui Yadav arrived in Patna from Delhi, Lalu Prasad Yadav had already issued symbols to several candidates.
00:44:29However, when Tejasui Yadav arrived in Patna, the candidates who had been given symbols were called back from Rabri Devi's residence at midnight.
00:44:37According to sources, the symbols issued to RJD candidates were withdrawn after Tejasui Yadav's arrival in Patna.
00:44:43And all RJD candidates who received the symbols arrived at Rabri Devi's residence one by one at midnight.
00:44:51However, they remained silent on all the questions.
00:44:54Now according to sources, Congress is reportedly unhappy with the way RJD candidates were given symbols in Patna amid the meeting between Tejasui Yadav and Congress leaders in Delhi.
00:45:04Now this message was conveyed to Tejasui Yadav from the Congress as soon as he arrived in Patna.
00:45:10And Congress on seat sharing says that the party has not yet released its list of candidates or assigned any symbols.
00:45:18But Congress is upset with all that is going on within the RJD with the RJD allocating symbols to its candidates.
00:45:26In fact, after this, Tejasui Yadav even summoned all the candidates to Rabri Devi's residence with their symbols.
00:45:32So high-voltage drama unfolded in RJD last night and several RJD candidates were summoned to Rabri Devi's residence and were given symbols.
00:45:43My colleague Shashi Bhushan is now joining us with more details on this.
00:45:47Shashi, Congress and RJD's tensions are increasing and now RJD gave some symbols symbols to which Congress is more angry.
00:45:58Shashi, is the President of the
00:46:24That is the song that the people who have given the symbol of the Ravri Awas
00:46:27All the people who have given the symbol of the Ravri Awas
00:46:30The people who have given the symbol of the Ravri Awas
00:46:32They have kept them quiet but
00:46:34During the summer of the High Voltage drama
00:46:35They have given the Ravri Awas
00:46:37It was called RADKMU
00:46:40They had also a symbol
00:46:42When they went inside
00:46:43They were called the Ravri Awas
00:46:45The Ravri Awas was in context
00:46:47and they were not in the hand
00:46:48They had a symbol
00:46:50this is not the symbol. So, this indicates that the symbol has been taken back.
00:46:58This is saying that the Congress is saying that the Congress is very upset.
00:47:03One of the things that you are saying about the street sharing and the numbers,
00:47:08there is no doubt in the numbers. And in such a way, you are giving a symbol.
00:47:13Yes.
00:47:14Yes, this is another thing that the government of the government itself is not the same.
00:47:21You have told that the RABDi Devi has called the symbol before the night,
00:47:26but when the government of the government came back,
00:47:28he has called the symbol again and then the symbol is not seen again.
00:47:34Yes, it is also the same. If the decision is done,
00:47:37then the RJD will be decided to make the symbol of the government.
00:47:41Well, these people are the same.
00:47:44These people who are in the R&D sitting seat,
00:47:45there is no claim to claim to be exact.
00:47:47Now, these people are saying that the New Yorkers are an important part in behalf of the RADD.
00:47:48The President is the only one who can't claim the same.
00:47:50So, the dovoman will be the same.
00:47:51The whole thing happens is the Tesp and Lailo Tars.
00:47:53The Lorenzo Tars will be the same.
00:47:54The Lailo Tars is the current party.
00:47:56So, they have this symbol.
00:48:07But, the Tesp and Lailo Tars is the main symbol,
00:48:09So, Congress was forced to control the damage.
00:48:16One important thing is that Congress has not been made up of numbers.
00:48:23In Delhi, Rahul Ghani didn't have any problems.
00:48:27There was no problem in Bihar Congress.
00:48:30So, it tells us that in Mahagadbandan,
00:48:32there is no safe situation in Mahagadbandan.
00:48:35And the symbol has been done.
00:48:37This is a new event that has been called to you in the afternoon.
00:48:44Shashi, thank you very much for your knowledge.
00:48:48Damage control bid by Tejasvi Yadav when symbols were given to candidates by Rabadi Devi in his absence.
00:48:58But after he arrived in Patna, the candidates were called back and the symbols were reportedly not seen with the candidates anymore.
00:49:07We're now getting some breaking news. This is regarding the Kerala Techie Seaside case.
00:49:12Now, we're learning that the RSS is demanding thorough probe into the matter.
00:49:16RSS has dismissed the allegations. RSS has said that baseless claims in Techie's online posts.
00:49:23In fact, RSS also said that the investigation will reveal RSS innocence.
00:49:29Now, remember, the Kerala Techie died by suicide and had also alleged RSS sexual abuse.
00:49:35He had alleged that he was sexually abused by multiple RSS workers. Let's listen.
00:49:42Mr. Kerala Techie in the afternoon.
00:49:44Mr. Kerala Techie, thank you very much, Mr. Kerala Techie.
00:49:47Mr. Kerala, if you notice the things we do in the afternoon,
00:49:49Mr. Kerala Techie is increased and is increased goal of the history of RSS.
00:49:52Mr. Kerala Techie is a huge loss of problems.
00:49:55Mr. Kerala, we lost a lot of the guilt with the rights.
00:49:57Mr. Kerala Techie has handled the same money for the rights.
00:49:59Mr. Kerala Techie is a very good situation.
00:50:01As a man who has been given the rights of the rights of the every single government,
00:50:03Mr. Kerala Techie is a very good deal.
00:50:05This is a school that has to be trusted by all the people who are interested in this school.
00:50:19This is a great job.
00:50:25It was a very difficult time to get into the school of Keralta.
00:50:40This is the Islamic State of Keralta.
00:50:45So that's the latest that's coming in as far as the Kerala techie suicide case is concerned.
00:51:12The RSS has now dismissed all the allegations made by the techie in his online social post.
00:51:18He had mentioned that he was sexually abused by multiple RSS workers which eventually led to him taking this extreme step.
00:51:28And now the RSS has demanded that there should be a thorough probe in this matter which will eventually reveal RSS innocence.
00:51:35My colleague Pramod Madhav is now joining us with more details on this.
00:51:38Pramod, give us more details on the investigation in this matter with the RSS now dismissing all the allegations by the techie
00:51:45and also saying that the probe will eventually prove that the RSS is innocent.
00:51:50Certainly Anjali. The one first foremost thing is that the RSS has accepted that the RSS was a failure of the crime civics.
00:51:58But at the same time they are asking for a comprehensive investigation actually raising doubts over how the social media post came up
00:52:06after the death of Anjali.
00:52:07And they also claim that an independent inquiry will not only bring down the real hope of the international death
00:52:13but also ensures innocence of RSS in this unsourced incident.
00:52:18This is how they are trying to actually, I don't know, respond to this particular suicide of the techie
00:52:23who has stated that he had undergone sexual assault from a very young age
00:52:28and that too by an RSS caterer and in so at the Chaka and Leek.
00:52:31All right, Pramod, thank you for getting us all those details.
00:52:35So that's the latest that's coming in as far as the Kerala techie seaside case is concerned.
00:52:40The techie had alleged that he was sexually abused by RSS workers
00:52:44but now the RSS has dismissed all the allegations calling it baseless
00:52:48and has demanded thorough probe in this matter.
00:52:51And we're now getting some more breaking news.
00:53:02Pakistan Prime Minister's Trump Chumchagiri was caught on camera.
00:53:05Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif lobbies for Nobel Peace Prize for Donald Trump
00:53:10and he goes all out to massage Trump's ego.
00:53:13Shahbaz's psychofancy and bootlicking on world stage in Egypt.
00:53:18Trump pleased with Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz's flattery
00:53:21and says, can't say anything more, let's go home.
00:53:24Here's the ultimate irony.
00:53:26Pakistan Minister Ishakdar claimed that there was no mediation in truce earlier
00:53:32and now, contrary to what Ishakdar had claimed,
00:53:36now Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif claims that it was in fact Donald Trump
00:53:39who resolved the conflict between India and Pakistan.
00:53:43to nominate this great president for Nobel Peace Prize
00:53:52because I genuinely feel
00:53:56that he's the most genuine
00:54:01and most wonderful candidate for peace prize
00:54:08because he has brought not only peace in South Asia,
00:54:12saved millions of people, their lives.
00:54:17and today, here in Sharm el-Sheikh,
00:54:22achieving peace in Gaza
00:54:25is saving millions of lives in the Middle East.
00:54:30Mr. President, I would like to salute you
00:54:34for your exemplary leadership,
00:54:39and I think that you are the man
00:54:44this world needed most at this point in time.
00:54:48And India Today Global's Pranay Upadhyay is now joining us
00:54:55with more details on this.
00:54:56Pranay, earlier Pakistan Minister Ishakdar had claimed
00:54:59that there was no third party that was involved
00:55:02in the resolution of the conflict between India and Pakistan,
00:55:05but contradicting his own minister,
00:55:07now Shahbaz Sharif, on world stage claims
00:55:09that it was in fact Donald Trump
00:55:11who was behind the resolution
00:55:13and the peace between India and Pakistan.
00:55:18Anjali, there is a small correction in that.
00:55:21Ishakdar, the Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister
00:55:24and Foreign Minister,
00:55:26said that India does not accept
00:55:28any third party involvement,
00:55:30any third party mediation.
00:55:32And therefore, we are ready to discuss
00:55:34anything with India.
00:55:36However, as far as the Prime Minister
00:55:37Shahbaz Sharif's claim is concerned,
00:55:39this is not for the first time.
00:55:40He said that, you know,
00:55:41the credit goes to President Donald Trump
00:55:44and U.S. involvement
00:55:45as far as the ceasefire is concerned.
00:55:47However, the fact remained
00:55:48that it was Pakistan DGMO's call
00:55:50on 10th of May,
00:55:51which actually brought the ceasefire
00:55:54or agreement between India and Pakistan
00:55:56to halt the May conflict
00:55:59and the Operation Sindhuur.
00:56:01However, as far as India's position is concerned,
00:56:04it's a well-stated position
00:56:06that all the issues
00:56:08between India and Pakistan
00:56:10will be resolved bilaterally
00:56:13and that is drawn out of
00:56:14the Shimla Agreement of 1972.
00:56:17So, therefore,
00:56:18there is no deviation from that position.
00:56:20But you see that
00:56:21definitely Pakistan Prime Minister
00:56:23Shahbaz Sharif
00:56:24has all the reasons
00:56:25to be sycophant
00:56:26to cozy up to U.S. President Donald Trump
00:56:30because in last,
00:56:31about a decade,
00:56:33time,
00:56:33that this is for the first time
00:56:35Pakistani Prime Minister
00:56:36got a chance
00:56:37to meet U.S. President
00:56:38thrice within a span
00:56:40of one month.
00:56:41So, he met U.S. President
00:56:43on the sidelines
00:56:44of the UNGA,
00:56:45then he had a call
00:56:46on meeting
00:56:47with U.S. President
00:56:48in the White House
00:56:49and now,
00:56:49years again,
00:56:50got a chance
00:56:51to meet up to him.
00:56:52And you can see,
00:56:52you can very well
00:56:53make out from the visuals
00:56:54that how he wanted
00:56:56to show his proximity,
00:56:57how he wanted
00:56:58to stand close
00:56:59even during the photo op
00:57:01and everything,
00:57:03you know,
00:57:03he wanted to show
00:57:04that how he cares
00:57:05about how much
00:57:06he can praise
00:57:07U.S. President Donald Trump
00:57:09and definitely
00:57:10a Pakistani Prime Minister
00:57:11Shahbaz Sharif
00:57:12who's running
00:57:12a coalition government
00:57:13and, you know,
00:57:14his assent to power
00:57:15also owes its credit
00:57:18to the Pakistani military.
00:57:20So, definitely,
00:57:20he has the reasons
00:57:21to remain in power
00:57:23and, you know,
00:57:24the credit goes
00:57:25to U.S. support
00:57:26as well
00:57:26in some way or other.
00:57:28So, that's why
00:57:29he wanted to show
00:57:30his allegiance,
00:57:30he wanted to show
00:57:31his, you know,
00:57:32how he wanted
00:57:32to cozy up
00:57:34to U.S.
00:57:35and seek
00:57:36his blessings.
00:57:38Right, Prane,
00:57:39do stay with us.
00:57:40In fact,
00:57:41U.S. President
00:57:41Donald Trump
00:57:42was, in fact,
00:57:43visibly pleased
00:57:44with the flattery
00:57:45by Pakistan Prime Minister
00:57:46Shahbaz Sharif
00:57:47and Trump said
00:57:48that there is
00:57:48nothing more
00:57:49that he can add.
00:57:53To take
00:57:54more of your time,
00:57:56suffice it to say,
00:57:58had it not been
00:57:59for this gentleman
00:58:00not only,
00:58:02who knows,
00:58:04India and Pakistan
00:58:04are both
00:58:05nuclear powers.
00:58:08Had he not intervened
00:58:09along with his
00:58:10wonderful team,
00:58:12during those four days,
00:58:15the war could have
00:58:15escalated to a level.
00:58:18Who would have lived
00:58:19to tell
00:58:19what happened?
00:58:21And similarly,
00:58:23here in this part
00:58:24of the world,
00:58:25in the Middle East,
00:58:25Mr. President,
00:58:27your valuable contribution
00:58:30along with
00:58:31President Sisi,
00:58:33I think
00:58:33history will remember
00:58:35in golden words.
00:58:37I wouldn't say
00:58:38more
00:58:39except
00:58:40God bless you,
00:58:42God give you
00:58:43long life
00:58:43to serve
00:58:44like this
00:58:45for all time to come.
00:58:47Thank you very much.
00:58:48Thank you very much.
00:58:53Thank you very much.
00:58:56Wow, I didn't expect that.
00:58:59Let's go home.
00:58:59There's nothing more
00:59:00I have to say.
00:59:01Goodbye, everybody.
00:59:02That was really beautiful
00:59:04and beautifully delivered.
00:59:05Wow.
00:59:06Thank you very much.
00:59:07In fact,
00:59:10Shahbaz Sharif
00:59:11is now crediting
00:59:12Donald Trump
00:59:12for ensuring
00:59:13India-Pakistan truce.
00:59:14But here is
00:59:15Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister
00:59:16Ishaq Dar
00:59:16categorically saying
00:59:18that there was
00:59:18no third party
00:59:19interference
00:59:20in the India-Pakistan
00:59:21resolution.
00:59:25Well,
00:59:26we don't mind
00:59:27but India
00:59:27has categorically
00:59:29been stating
00:59:29it's bilateral
00:59:31so we don't mind
00:59:32bilateral
00:59:32but the dialogues
00:59:33have to be
00:59:34comprehensive.
00:59:35It will have
00:59:36dialogue on
00:59:37terrorism,
00:59:38dialogue on trade,
00:59:39on economy,
00:59:40on Jammu and Kashmir,
00:59:41all the subjects
00:59:43which we both
00:59:44have been discussing
00:59:45with.
00:59:46So,
00:59:46incidentally,
00:59:48when the
00:59:48ceasefire
00:59:49offer came
00:59:50through
00:59:51Secretary Rubio
00:59:52to me
00:59:53on 10th of May
00:59:54around 8,
00:59:5517 past 8
00:59:57in the morning,
00:59:58I was told
00:59:59that there would
01:00:00be very soon
01:00:01dialogue between
01:00:02you and India
01:00:03at an independent
01:00:04place.
01:00:05When we met
01:00:0625th of July
01:00:07bilateral meeting
01:00:09myself
01:00:09with Secretary
01:00:10Rubio
01:00:10in Washington,
01:00:11I asked him
01:00:12what happened
01:00:13to the dialogue.
01:00:14India says
01:00:15that it is
01:00:16a bilateral
01:00:16issue,
01:00:17we don't...
01:00:18So,
01:00:18we are not
01:00:19begging for
01:00:19anything.
01:00:20If any country
01:00:22wants dialogue,
01:00:22we are happy,
01:00:23we are welcome,
01:00:24we are a peace
01:00:24loving country,
01:00:25we believe that
01:00:27dialogue is the
01:00:28way forward
01:00:29but obviously
01:00:30it takes two
01:00:31to tango.
01:00:32So,
01:00:32unless India
01:00:33wishes to have
01:00:34dialogue...
01:00:34And my
01:00:37colleague Pranyo
01:00:37Padya continues
01:00:38to stay with us.
01:00:39Pranyo,
01:00:39we just heard
01:00:40Pakistan Deputy
01:00:41Prime Minister
01:00:41telling what all
01:00:44unfolded and how
01:00:45the truce was
01:00:46achieved between
01:00:46India and
01:00:47Pakistan,
01:00:47clearly stating
01:00:48that India
01:00:48made it clear
01:00:49that there
01:00:49should be no
01:00:50third-party
01:00:50mediation.
01:00:52In fact,
01:00:53it was also
01:00:53conveyed to
01:00:54Secretary Rubio
01:00:55that it's a
01:00:56bilateral issue.
01:00:58And amid all
01:00:59of this,
01:00:59we now see
01:01:00Shaibad Sharif
01:01:00crediting
01:01:01Donald Trump
01:01:02for the
01:01:02resolution and
01:01:03for the
01:01:03truce,
01:01:04does this
01:01:04also show
01:01:05the kind
01:01:06of lies
01:01:06that Pakistan
01:01:08peddles?
01:01:09There's no
01:01:10doubt about
01:01:11that,
01:01:11Anjali,
01:01:11but if you
01:01:12heard the
01:01:13entire clip
01:01:14of Ishik
01:01:14Dar,
01:01:15he gave an
01:01:16interview to
01:01:17a news network
01:01:19in Qatar,
01:01:20and during that
01:01:22interview,
01:01:23he said this
01:01:23thing that
01:01:24along with
01:01:25the so-called
01:01:26ceasefire and
01:01:27the ceasefire
01:01:28offer,
01:01:29which came
01:01:29via United
01:01:30States and
01:01:31Secretary Marco
01:01:32Rubio at
01:01:34that point of
01:01:34time,
01:01:35it was also
01:01:36an offer that
01:01:37there will be
01:01:37a subsequent
01:01:38talk between
01:01:39India and
01:01:40Pakistan at
01:01:40a neutral
01:01:41venue.
01:01:42This is what
01:01:42he referred to.
01:01:44And in the
01:01:44same breath,
01:01:45he said that
01:01:46we were expecting
01:01:47that there should
01:01:48be a follow-up
01:01:49dialogue after
01:01:49the ceasefire,
01:01:50which did not
01:01:51happen,
01:01:51and when he
01:01:52asked Secretary
01:01:53Marco Rubio
01:01:53about that,
01:01:54what happened
01:01:54to that offer
01:01:55then in response
01:01:56to that,
01:01:57Secretary Marco
01:01:58Rubio clearly
01:01:58said that
01:01:58India is
01:01:59not ready
01:02:00to accept
01:02:02any third
01:02:03party mediation
01:02:03or any
01:02:04third party
01:02:05intervention as
01:02:07far as
01:02:07India-Pakistan
01:02:07issues are
01:02:08concerned.
01:02:09Therefore,
01:02:09if you see
01:02:10Pakistan wanted
01:02:11to show the
01:02:12world that
01:02:12they are
01:02:13ready to
01:02:13dialogue and
01:02:14they are
01:02:15open to
01:02:15dialogue on
01:02:16every issue
01:02:17including
01:02:17Jammu and
01:02:18Kashmir and
01:02:19other issues.
01:02:20But the fact
01:02:21remained that
01:02:21why did
01:02:22dialogue stall?
01:02:23Why did the
01:02:23comprehensive
01:02:24dialogue process
01:02:24derail?
01:02:25It was because
01:02:25of the Pakistan
01:02:26sponsored terrorism
01:02:27and India's
01:02:28stated position
01:02:29and India's
01:02:30firm position
01:02:30that talks
01:02:31and terrors
01:02:31cannot go
01:02:32together.
01:02:33Absolutely.
01:02:33Pranay,
01:02:34do stay with
01:02:34us.
01:02:34We're getting
01:02:35some more
01:02:35breaking news
01:02:36on the story.
01:02:45And Donald
01:02:45Trump calls
01:02:46Pakistan jihadi
01:02:47general his
01:02:47favourite.
01:02:48Pakistan praises
01:02:49Trump at
01:02:50Egypt Peace
01:02:51Summit and
01:02:52Trump on the
01:02:52other hand calls
01:02:53Munir his
01:02:54favourite field
01:02:55marshal.
01:02:56Asim Munir is
01:02:56my favourite
01:02:57field marshal.
01:02:58This is what
01:02:59US President
01:02:59Donald Trump
01:03:00said as
01:03:01Pakistan's
01:03:02Prime Minister
01:03:02Chebaz Sharif
01:03:03stood behind
01:03:04him.
01:03:06Listen.
01:03:06My favourite
01:03:08field marshal
01:03:08from Pakistan
01:03:09who's not
01:03:10here but
01:03:10the Prime
01:03:11Minister is
01:03:12here and
01:03:12you're going
01:03:13to give
01:03:13his regards.
01:03:14Where are
01:03:15you?
01:03:16Thank you
01:03:17very much.
01:03:17I have to
01:03:18say my favourite
01:03:19field marshal
01:03:19from Pakistan
01:03:20who's not
01:03:21here but
01:03:21the Prime
01:03:22Minister is
01:03:23here and
01:03:23you're going
01:03:24to give
01:03:24his regards.
01:03:25Where are
01:03:26you?
01:03:27Thank you
01:03:28very much.
