00:00How are you and Abe doing? We're great. Good. Yeah, really good. Really, really good. Yeah,
00:04settling into life as parents of four. Yes, we are. I mean, it's, you know, it's a trip,
00:08but it's fun. Yeah, family's complete now. Done. You're done, done, done. Done, done, done. I'm
00:16like begging him to get a vasectomy. We're going to Vegas, just do it there. Just do it, get it
00:21done. So what was kind of the inspiration behind this? I just feel like there's such a barrier to
00:25entry when people are thinking about hosting or having people over and it seems like so
00:29overwhelming to people and I just want to simplify it. It's really, I think community
00:34is so important, especially since COVID. I feel like people realize how important it is to be
00:38together and it's at the forefront of really everything I do. So I wanted to share like how
00:44I do it easily while still being beautiful and it's just a great part of life. What I love about
00:50this too is that in the end you put some menus in there, which is always hard for me because it's
00:55like you never know like how to put everything together and I love the sample menus. That's
00:59great. Yeah. I really thought it was just like a good way for people to literally follow it from
01:04A to Z and you have all the tips of how to actually host and put together a party, but then here's
01:10like what you can cook. Sure. Yes. This would make it so simple. Yeah. So what kind of recipes from your
01:15own family are you putting into this book? So I have amazing Middle Eastern recipes. I mean,
01:19they're not only very, very nutritious, but a lot of them are really not that complicated to make.
01:23I also have like funny, quippy recipes that we actually named them after like divorce. I love
01:30that. Yeah. That's a great one. It's an easy recipe and it's delicious. Like it's such a hit.
01:34Um, some Boussac we make, which is kind of like a Baraka. It's like cheese and dough basically,
01:39but my kids are obsessed. Um, healthy meals for kids, easy, casual dinner meals. I mean,
01:45just so much. It wasn't so much fun for your kids to be a part of this too, because we see some great
01:49family photos as well. Yes. And my son Levi, who's 10 is obsessed with food. Okay. Oh, is he? Okay.
01:55He's a foodie. Oh, wow. I mean, I love eating with him. Sure. Yeah. I love exploring food with him,
01:59but he like, he had a big, a lot to say about what I was going to put in and how I was going to put it
02:05in. Uh-huh. What was his favorite? What's his favorite recipe then? Actually his favorite is
02:09Yemenite soup, which is just chicken soup basically with veggies, but it's just, it's very aromatic and
02:15it's so delicious. It's like health soup. Sure. Yeah. Every, every culture has a health soup. Of course.
02:20Yeah. What's your go-to recipe in this book when you're looking for a quick, a quick, uh, night?
02:27Um, it depends. If I'm making it for the kids, then it's something like with more protein and
02:32usually I have like rice or something like that. If it's me and Abe, sometimes we just make like a
02:37really big salad. Okay. Some of this, I have like a bunch of salads in the book and we'll put some
02:40protein in it or like a chip, like an easy chicken oven dish. Yeah. You know?
