This special report focuses on a major breakthrough in the Israel-Hamas conflict, with a peace plan attributed to US President Donald Trump leading to the end of the war and the release of hostages. The report covers the release of 20 Israeli hostages, President Trump's address to the Israeli Knesset, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's praise for his American counterpart. In a direct quote from his speech, Trump tells Netanyahu, 'I said, Bibi, you're going to be remembered for this far more than if you kept this thing going, going, going, kill, kill, kill.' The programme details the scenes of freed hostages reuniting with their families and a disruption during Trump's speech where two lawmakers were removed after raising a sign that read "genocide". The report also highlights Netanyahu's address, where he lauded Trump as the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House for his unwavering support.

00:00The biggest headline of the day is the fact that we've seen a breakthrough as far as Gaza is concerned,
00:05with Trump's peace plan actually setting in motion the release of hostages.
00:1020 hostages have made it back from Gaza.

00:18First you had these images of cheering crowds greeting freed, released prisoners in Betunia,
00:25many hugging their loved ones as well.
00:27The prisoners released, remember, includes 250 people who were serving life sentences for convictions and attacks on Israelis.
00:33It was an exchange of sorts.
00:351,700 were seized from Gaza during the war and held without charge.
00:40So Israel too released many, many prisoners.
00:45Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gifted this particular idol.
00:50It was a golden peace dove to U.S. President Donald Trump.
00:53This was to symbolize the fact that Trump ensured peace in West Asia.
00:58And this was the gift that Netanyahu greeted President Trump with.
01:01U.S. President Donald Trump in the Israeli parliament there receiving a standing ovation
01:08where he was welcomed to prolonged applause, warm appreciation from lawmakers.
01:14He had several representatives from America as well.
01:16The Secretary of State Marco Rubio was there.
01:19The Defense Secretary Pete Heggseth, U.S. Ambassador to Israel.
01:22Mike Huckabee and many others.
01:23As Trump stood up to speech, there was a disruption that took place.
01:31Two Israeli parliamentarians stood up.
01:34They were pro-Gaza members who raised a sign and then said genocide during Trump's speech.
01:40They were immediately removed by the speaker.
01:42Netanyahu delivered a deeply emotional, defiant speech.
01:50And above all else, was seen praising Trump constantly in his address
01:54for his unwavering support for Israel and his leadership in regional security.
02:02And let's also take you through some of those images of hostages being released by Hamas
02:07in which you saw many people meeting their families after a long time
02:11and therefore extremely emotional footage that came in of the hostages
02:16finally touching down in their home soil.
02:24And some of the released Israeli hostages also first touched down at a medical center.
02:30They were released by Hamas' part of that ceasefire agreement.
02:33All of them beaming, smiling, waving as they were waiting to meet with their family members.
02:42So let's get you some of the highlights from what happened in the Israeli parliament.
02:46We'll play out for you what, in fact, U.S. President Donald Trump had to say
02:51in his over one hour, nearly 90 minute long speech that he gave in the Israeli parliament.
02:57Listen in to some of those highlights.
02:58Harrowing years and darkness and captivity, 20 courageous hostages are returning to the
03:09glorious embrace of their families, and it is glorious.
03:1328 more precious loved ones are coming home at last to rest in this sacred soil for all of time.
03:22This is not only the end of a war.
03:26This is the end of the age of terror and death and the beginning of the age of faith and hope
03:32and of God.
03:34It's the start of a grand concord and lasting harmony for Israel and all the nations of
03:41what will soon be a truly magnificent region.
03:45I believe that so strongly.
03:48This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East.
03:53I want to express my gratitude to a man of exceptional courage and patriotism, whose partnership
03:59did so much to make this momentous day possible.
04:04You know who I'm talking about.
04:05There's only one Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
04:09So this long and difficult war has now ended.
04:13You know, some people say 3,000 years.
04:15Some people say 500 years.
04:17Whatever it is, it's the granddaddy of them all.
04:22And in an unprecedented achievement, virtually the entire region has endorsed the plan that
04:28Gaza will be immediately demilitarized, that Hamas will be disarmed.
04:33And Israel's security will no longer be threatened in any way, shape or form.
04:42The world is loving Israel again.
04:44And I said to him, you know, the world is big and it's strong.
04:49And Ron, ultimately, the world wins.
04:52And we don't have to worry about that now.
04:54But there was getting to be a period of time over the last few months.
04:58You know, the world wanted peace and Israel wanted peace.
05:02Everybody did.
05:03Everybody did.
05:04And what a victory it's been, right?
05:06What a victory it's been.
05:07If you would have gone on for three, four more years, keep fighting, fighting, fighting.
05:12It was it was getting bad.
05:14It was getting heated.
05:16The timing of this is brilliant.
05:18And I said, Bibi, you're going to be remembered for this far more than if you kept this thing
05:23going, going, going, going, kill, kill, kill, it would be not it would not be the same.
05:29And I just want to congratulate you for having the courage to say, that's it.
05:35We've won.
05:36And now let's enjoy our lives and let's rebuild Israel and make it stronger and bigger and
05:42better than it's ever been before.
05:43Donald Trump is the greatest friend that the state of Israel has ever had in the White
05:50House.
05:51No American president has ever done more for Israel.
05:56And as I said in Washington, it ain't even close.
06:00It's really not a match.
06:02At the beginning of the war, I promised to bring all the hostages home.
06:07Today, with the indispensable help, the determined and focused help, the unremitting help of President
06:17Trump's esteem, and with the incredible sacrifice and courage of the soldiers of Israel, we are
06:26fulfilling that promise.
06:29Israel achieved amazing victories over Hamas and the entire Iran terror axis.
06:35Sinwar, Def, Haniyeh, Nasrallah, Assad, they're all gone.
06:42But the price of this victory, the price of these victories, has been heavy.
06:49Nearly 2,000 of Israel's finest were lost, nearly half in battle.
06:55They left behind parents, spouses, siblings, and children.
07:00Their love and laughter, their promise and potential, were lost forever.
07:09So phase one of the Gaza peace plan successful.
07:13Let's hope that we see it through and we see peace finally in Gaza.
07:18We're going to continue tracking, of course, all of those updates.
07:21But that's all we have time for in this edition of Super 6.
