01:20No, no, no.
01:22No, no, no.
01:23No, no, no, no.
01:24No, no, no, no, no.
01:26No, no, no, no, no.
01:31No, no, no, no, no.
01:32No, no, no, no, no, no.
01:33No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
01:35No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

04:48¡Gracias!
05:18¡Oh, no, no, no!
05:27¡Oh, no, no!
05:34¡Oh!
05:36They took the kids.
05:38They took everyone.
05:39Come on.
05:41These people are enemies of the state.
05:43But I can assure you the situation is well in hand.
05:46I've already suspended all migrant entry into the city until further notice
05:51I'm glad our contributions to the Commonwealth's future have not been in vain
05:55And, um, if I may, on a personal note
06:01I'm truly sorry about Sebastian
06:05Kayla is distraught
06:07To lose a child is unthinkable
06:11Worse than death, yes
06:14But Sebastian will always be with me
06:18Get your hands off me
06:19Where are they?
06:24Yumiko
06:24It's fine
06:26It's fine
06:27There's no threat
06:30Right now I'm the biggest threat you have
06:31I suggest you say goodbye to your guests and tell me what the hell's going on
06:35I'm not leaving until you do
06:38We were just wrapping up
06:41Thank you all for coming by and sharing your thoughts
06:45I've been expecting you
07:01Where are they?
07:02Your friends have been removed from the Commonwealth
07:04Removed?
07:05But like the hundreds of other people you've had disappeared
07:07Call it what you want
07:08But their rebellion and defiance of our laws left me no choice
07:11Please
07:12As if you have any respect for the law
07:14I do
07:15That's why I hired you
07:17I want nothing more than to see justice prevail
07:20To see order restored from chaos
07:22How does abducting my people accomplish that?
07:24I want to assure my citizens that the trial of the man who killed Sebastian will remain impartial
07:31That justice will be served no matter which side someone falls on
07:36Who better to bring that impartial justice than Eugene Porter's friend?
07:41You want me to prosecute, Eugene?
07:49On behalf of the Commonwealth?
07:51Yes
07:51Sign my friend's death warrant in some kangaroo court publicity stunt
07:57Yeah, that's never going to happen
07:58Well then neither will a reunion with your friends
08:00Is that what you want?
08:02And let's not forget your brother
08:04You should consider how your actions might affect him as well
08:10Now, if you'll excuse me
08:13I need to prepare for a press conference announcing your intent to prosecute Mr. Porter
08:18Don't be late
08:19Oh no, they jumped me
08:31They even took the dog
08:33You think they were troopers?
08:36I think they were working for Pamela
08:37We gotta find Mercer
08:39Well, you don't think he would turn us in?
08:46Shit, there is one other person
08:48Hornsby?
08:51There's all the dark shit that goes on here
08:53You know where to find him?
08:56Yeah, but this isn't gonna be easy
08:57Is it ever?
09:01Mr. Parker, please return to the meeting
09:08Be sure to keep the area clean
09:14And change the dressing once a day
09:16Mika?
09:29You okay?
09:30What is it?
09:31My friends have been taken
09:32Removed from the Commonwealth
09:34What?
09:35Magna
09:35Connie, Kelly
09:36Ezekiel?
09:37All of them
09:38On Pamela's orders
09:39Now she's demanding that I prosecute Eugene if I want to see them again
09:44I imagine she threatened me too
09:52I am not gonna let anything happen to you
09:57You think that's what I'm worried about?
10:01She expects you to fold
10:02She's sack the deck that way
10:04And if you don't
10:05What happens to you?
10:07I don't know
10:07I don't know
10:09There has to be another way, okay?
10:13Just tell me what to do
10:15I'm trying
10:15I'm trying
10:16Listen to me
10:17I know it's not what you want to hear
10:20But maybe the best way to protect your friends and yourself
10:24Is to give Pamela what she wants
10:26That means sacrificing Eugene
10:28What choice do you have?
10:33Sunlight is supposed to be the best disinfectant, right?
10:36While Pamela is still standing
10:38What does that tell you?
10:42There isn't some kind of justice waiting around the corner
10:44You can just accept that
10:50It's non-acceptance
10:51It's survival
10:53That's what you want for your friends
10:57That's what they would want for you
11:20We'll see you next time

15:28¿Dónde están?
15:40¡Lance! ¡Lance! ¡Lance!
15:55¡Lance, look at me!
15:58¡Look at me!
15:59We can't leave you here alive.
16:12Either you tell us where our friends are
16:14or you're dead.
16:29I'll show you, and trust me, you get it, but I know a way out of the city.
16:49No, what?
16:53What is that?
16:55It's a radio frequency monitor.
16:59It'll set an alarm off if I leave this place.
17:02You're going to have to cut off my foot.
17:06Are you going to carry me?
17:09You better be ready to run fast.
17:12Go.
17:13Ray, I need to do something first.
17:25Right here.
17:43Go, get him out of here.
17:45Not without you.
17:46Go.
17:47Cover me.
18:16Go, get him out of here.
18:17Go, get him out of here.
18:18Go, get him out of here.

18:35Go, get him out of here.
18:36Go, get him out of here.
18:37Go, get him out of here.
18:38¡Gracias!
19:08It's going to be that we're moving forward in a transparent, open way.
19:13Also, Max...
19:16Sorry, Kathleen.
19:18It's all right, ma'am.
19:21The Commonwealth Army should be there, but only in the background.
19:24I want to present a peaceful return to law and order.
19:28You can't feel like a police state.
19:30That will only stir up any lingering resentment.
19:38Yes?
20:08Yes?
20:10No.
20:12Noööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööö stabilize Coast stunt-in- Entwick Jeffrey's evidence to Superman–an Myrka Peuky OHUK-one-two orogen crevests with UFO-of-of-of-of-of-of-of-soön PR-dos-ofsarge ait footage and event a III-verИ Ally-Truss-eeket.

20:19Gracias por ver el video.
20:49Gracias por ver el video.
21:20You're not like most people.
21:23You're always thinking ten steps ahead.
21:24It's what makes you special.
21:27I mean, who else could have done what you just did?
21:31Anyway.
21:33I hope Dixon's okay.
21:34Hey, whoa.
21:40I know what you're trying to do.
21:42I'm just making conversation.
21:44Where are we going?
21:45I told you, I'd take you there.
21:46I'm done with your mind games.
21:50I'm not lying to you.
21:52Saying you give a shit about what happens to Daryl.
21:54I was just locked in a cell
21:58and forced to feed my colleague piece by piece
22:00to Pamela's rotter son.
22:01I might not be moving at full speed here.
22:05Fine.
22:06Do it.
22:06And then good luck finding your friends.
22:09I'm not lying to you.
22:11Come on.
22:12It's middle school.
22:12Because I'm in pain.
22:13I might not.
22:14But then good luck knowing your friends.
22:14I'm not lying to you.
22:15I'm not lying to you.
22:15I'm not lying to you.
22:16I'm not lying to you.
22:16¡Gracias!
22:46I know how we can lose them.
22:50Come on.
22:52Come on.
22:54Come on.
22:56Come on.
23:04I...
23:06can't believe they're gone.
23:10Connie put her trust in me and I let her down.
23:14It was the only lead we had.
23:24I don't think I have a choice but to do what Pamela's asking me.
23:36If that means you have to prosecute me to the fullest extent of the law, then rest assured it's a fate I've already freely accepted.
23:42Eugene, I don't want to do this.
23:44It's okay. It's okay.
23:46I made my choices in my bed.
23:50Now I must lie in it.
23:54But even if that should come to pass,
23:56the central dilemma of our kidnapped compadres remains.
24:02What if the worst happens while this trial plays out?
24:04What if the governor reneges on her promise to set them free?
24:08We must do something.
24:10What?
24:12What?
24:14Pamela has all the leverage here.
24:18I'll admit it does appear that way.
24:22But I have to believe there's still something we can do.
24:28Because if not, if our friends are truly gone, then...
24:32And that is a piece of burden I simply cannot live with even for the truncated time I likely have left.
24:42This isn't your fault, Eugene.
24:46No.
24:48And you being made by Connie's would-be abductor isn't yours.
24:52One thing we can do is return the unwavering faith our absconded friends have always shown for us,
25:02and trust that no matter how bleak things look in this moment,
25:06that this is not the end.
25:10Now, that may not mean much coming from a soon-to-be-convicted villain.
25:16But maybe it's something.
25:42You expect me to follow you in an air?
25:44I do if you don't want to get caught.
25:50This was an infrastructure repair project getting back from the early days of the common law.
25:57After a series of cave-ins, it was considered too unstable.
26:09I meant what I said back there about hoping Dixon's all right.
26:13It's hard to find someone like that.
26:15That you'd do anything for her.
26:19I felt that way about Pamela once.
26:22I thought it could make her feel the same about me.
26:25Helping her build the commonwealth, run it.
26:29And letting her take all the credit.
26:31Even by bringing in your communities.
26:35Which I admit was...
26:37Mishandled.
26:41But it was never enough.
26:42I know there was nothing I could do that would ever change how she saw me.
26:48Mr. Chauffeur's son.
26:52More importantly, there's something I wanted to ask you.
26:54What comes after her?
27:00After what?
27:01The unrest of the commonwealth.
27:04Let's say Pamela doesn't survive it.
27:06It's gonna open up a power vacuum.
27:07And when that happens...
27:09Well, I just look at history.
27:11The people who suffer the most in revolutions are the civilians.
27:14That's your point.
27:16You and your people will hold 50,000 lives in your hands.
27:21Until I find my people, there is no after.
27:25You'll find them. I know you.
27:28And then you'll have a choice to make.
27:30Will you let the commonwealth burn?
27:33It's not my problem.
27:36Sure.
27:38Yeah, you want to leave all this behind you, right?
27:41I get it.
27:43Me too.
27:50But what about the kids?
27:54Are you really going to deny them their only chance?
27:57The kind of life you took for granted?
28:00Doesn't the next generation deserve better than the one before?
28:07Otherwise, what's the point?
28:08Oh, God.
28:11Oh, shit.
28:13Oh.
28:15Oh.
28:20Is that... skin?
28:22No.
28:23Oh, God.
28:34Ah!
28:36Ah!
28:37India!
29:56Sorry, the lights went out. I thought you were right behind me.
30:24Drop your weapons!
30:27It's radio-backed command that we found him.
30:33Did they put a spike or we had to put him down?
30:35Yes, sir.
30:56I'm glad to see you decided to attend.
31:02I'm glad to see you decided to attend.
31:14I didn't really have a choice.
31:17So how was your stroll through this work today?
31:22It was lovely.
31:23You should know your friend Connie was picked up early.
31:27Not to worry, she's been replaced with the others.
31:31I do admire the loyalty you have from our people.
31:36I hope someday you'll understand why I needed to do this for mine.
31:40I already understand.
31:43This is for you.
31:45It's not for them.
31:46Your words tonight will carry across the coming world and help restore the people's faith and keep the peace.
31:53They're not my words.
31:55They're just bullshit theatre.
31:57All the same.
31:58Just make sure you know your lines.
32:03Good evening.
32:18We're here tonight to announce the Commonwealth will be moving forward with the prosecution of Eugene Porter.
32:24Mr. Porter has been arrested and charged in connection with the tragic events that took place on Founder's Day, including the murder of Governor Milton's son, Sebastian Milton.
32:37Do you have any updates on the escapees, Colonel?
32:40I assure you we have our best people on this. Teams are sweeping every quadrant.
32:46At this time, we'd like to introduce one of the Commonwealth's most accomplished attorneys, Miss Yumiko Okumura.
32:54Good evening.
33:05I'd like to start by saying what a privilege it is to be a part of this great shining city that we call the Commonwealth.
33:22Not long ago, I was part of a group whose community had been lost to the ravages of the outside world.
33:35Left with nothing, Governor Milton not only welcomed us, but gave us the incredible gift of a second chance.
33:45A chance to live lives we thought were gone forever.
33:50For me, that meant being a lawyer again.
33:54And the opportunity to uphold a sacred ideal of the old world.
33:59Justice.
34:00Eugene Porter was also a part of my community.
34:13He was someone I grew to know well over the years and even come to trust.
34:26That is why the events of the past 48 hours have shaken me to my core.
34:30They've also renewed my belief that regardless of the personal cost, we must always seek justice if we are to preserve who we are as a people.
34:46Sorry.
34:47Before continuing, there's actually somebody I would like to thank.
34:58Someone who means the world to me and also to you, the people of the Commonwealth.
35:03Your thoracic surgeon and my brother, Tomichi Okamura.
35:09Can you stand up, please, Tomi?
35:13Stand up.
35:14Thank you.
35:22Tomi is an invaluable and irreplaceable member of this community.
35:27And he's always wanted what's best for me.
35:31And the people of the Commonwealth.
35:33I just wanted to take this moment to thank him for that.
35:44Gracias.
36:14Gracias.
36:15Gracias.
36:16Gracias.
36:17Gracias.
36:18Gracias.
36:19Gracias.
36:20Gracias.
36:21Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
36:22We will not be taking any more of our shifts.
36:23It's cool.
36:24Taking shifts.
36:25Walking the perimeter.
36:26Shouldn't be a problem to take them out.
36:29Not for you, anyway.
36:31Then what?
36:32We had for your friends.
36:33The tracks forked a few times on the way, but I know the route the supply train takes
36:38to get there.
36:39Commonwealth has a working train?
36:40No.
36:41No.
36:42No.
36:43No.
36:44No.
36:45No.

38:25So you're just going to kill me then?
38:29After everything I've done for you
38:33You can run
38:35Run where?
38:38Run where?
38:41It's up to you
38:42But that's all you're gonna get
38:44A chance
38:45I sworn you deserve
38:47All right, look, I've made mistakes, I know
38:48But that's not who I am anymore
38:52That guy is gone
38:55He died back in that cell
38:56I won't make it out here
39:01Good
39:03You're a smart guy, Lance
39:06You might survive
39:09Wait

42:26I'm with you.
42:27I thought I recognized your footsteps.
42:51You know me a little too well.
42:53Didn't we already say goodbye?
42:55I thought you could use some extra medical supplies to take back.
42:58Yeah, thank you.
43:00I was just getting some more food to take to meet up with the others.
43:03I left you some sesame bagels.
43:04I left you some sesame bagels in the back.
43:06You think you think you might like those?
43:07You think you might like those?
43:07Jake?
43:08This is an episode where, in a literal sense, some of our people have been taken, disappeared,
43:22but we're also dealing with people who feel like they're reckoning with their soul and like, what
43:28have they lost along the way?
43:30Aisha Tyler directed this episode, she's one of the rare directors that has directed kind of across all the existing Walking Dead shows.
43:43And she has so much energy and passion as a director.
43:48Everybody just across the board really, really enjoyed her time on our set.
43:52And I think she did a fantastic job.
43:54Daryl's usually the one that's the badass, but they got the jump on him while he had children with him.
44:04He's so good at taking care of himself, but I think, of course, like he would have tried to help the kids before himself if he wound up in a terrible situation.
44:18We really wanted to show that he was in true danger.
44:24They managed to get out of it, but they always want to make sure that things are kind of grounded for Daryl.
44:30Like, he's not a superhero.
44:32He's just the guy who has been through a lot of fights and is scrappy and tough, but that doesn't mean that he can't get into a really scary situation.
44:43They took the kids.
44:45Everyone.
44:46Come on.
44:48Where are they?
44:52It's fine.
44:54There's no threat.
44:55Right now, I'm the biggest threat you have.
44:57Yumiko is beyond furious because she used to be a lawyer.
45:01They've just kind of plucked her out of her group and said, and now you work for the government and you get to live a completely different life.
45:08Your friends have been removed from the Commonwealth.
45:11Removed?
45:11But like the hundreds of other people you've had disappeared.
45:14Their rebellion and defiance of our laws left me no choice.
45:16Please.
45:17As if you have any respect for the law.
45:19I do.
45:21That's why I hired you.
45:22She wouldn't have necessarily thought that Pamela was capable of doing something like this.
45:28I want to assure my citizens that the trial of the man who killed Sebastian will remain impartial.
45:35You want me to prosecute you, Jean?
45:37On behalf of the Commonwealth?
45:39Yes.
45:39Yeah, that's never going to happen.
45:40Well, then neither will a reunion with your friends.
45:43Is that what you want?
45:45And let's not forget your brother.
45:46The whole situation gives her pause and it's complicated.
45:50So she knows she's got to be careful about what she does next.
45:54I think Carol and Daryl, their main worry is like, is he so far gone that he's not going to be in a place where he can help us figure this thing out?
46:21Either you tell us where our friends are, or you're dead.
46:27He's all they kind of have right now.
46:30They know that he knows everything about how this place ticks.
46:33I'll show you.
46:37Move.
46:38Right there!
46:39There's no way they're going to get out of there easily.
46:43We really wanted to have a moment where Carol's got to choose, like, do I go on with Hornsby alone?
46:50Do we try to stick it out together?
46:53Go!
46:53Get him out of here!
46:54Not without you!
46:55Stick her out!
46:55Go!
46:56I think it just speaks to their bond that they trust each other so much that even though they would prefer to do everything together in this case,
47:04they know that they've got to kind of divide and conquer right now.
47:09You're not like most people.
47:11I was thinking ten steps ahead.
47:13It's what makes you special.
47:15I mean, who else could have done what you just did?
47:17Carol completely believes that Hornsby's just playing games and is trying to get in with her.
47:23She thinks he talks too much and she thinks he's full of shit.
47:26I know what you're trying to do.
47:27I think that truth is more complicated.
47:30I think he believes the things he's saying.
47:32I really do.
47:34I'm done with your mind games.
47:35He is not just pure mustache twirling evil.
47:39Like, I do think he thinks that there should be some thought towards the future.
47:43It's just that the methods he's willing to use to get there are not the same methods that maybe our heroes would choose to use.
47:51Sorry.
47:52The lights went on.
47:53I thought you were right behind me.
47:57You should move before dawn.
48:00We will.
48:01But you won't.
48:05What?
48:06But you can't get there without me.
48:08Yeah, we can.
48:09How's that?
48:10You just said there's a train.
48:13So you're just going to kill me then?
48:15You can run.
48:16I won't make it out here.
48:19Good.
48:19Carol and Daryl give him this chance to walk away because in some ways they feel a little sorry for him.
48:28And I do think that they see that there are times where he has tried to do the right thing.
48:40However, as he walks away, they're both thinking this idiot's going to turn around and try to do something.
48:47And it's almost like they're waiting for that to happen.
48:50That's really like how we kind of tone the scene.
48:54Carol completely is ready for him to turn around and try something.
48:58Carol completely is ready for him to turn around and try something.
49:28Carol completely is ready for him to turn around and try something else.
49:33We will.
49:33Bye.
49:34Bye.
49:34Bye.
49:35Bye.
49:43Bye.
49:44Bye.
49:54Bye.
49:56Bye.
49:57Bye.
