Woderfully atmospheric record released by The Grease Band originally recruited as his own backing band by Joe Cocker in 1966. After Woodstock Joe Cocker began a solo career and The Grease Band retained the name and recorded this debut album. The sound married acoustic and electric instruments and styles - country, blues, soul, folk and R & B. The album didn't sell and The Grease Band disbanded soon. After the break-up Alan Spenner joined Spooky Tooth, Neil Hubbard helped form Kokomo, Bruce Rowland ejoyed a fruitful spell with Fairport Convention and Henry McCullough joined McCartney's Wings before embarking on a solo Career.
