00:00Think the bigger army always wins?
00:02Think again.
00:03These are the epic upsets that defied all odds.
00:06First, the Battle of Agincourt.
00:08A massive French army, thousands of armored knights,
00:10the medieval equivalent of tanks,
00:12trapped a tiny, exhausted English army.
00:14But they forgot one opponent, the mud.
00:16The knights got stuck, becoming slow, heavy targets,
00:19and English archers turned them into pin cushions.
00:21A guaranteed victory drowned in the dirt.
00:24Next, the Battle of Isandwana,
00:26a professional British army with modern rifles
00:28forces Zulu warriors with spears and shields.
00:30The British commander was so confident,
00:32he didn't even bother setting up a proper defense.
00:34The Zulus used the brilliant Horns of the Buffalo tactic,
00:37surrounding them completely.
00:38Spears overwhelmed rifles,
00:40and an entire British column was wiped off the map.
00:43Finally, the Teutoburg Forest.
00:45Three Roman legions, the most disciplined,
00:47invincible fighting force on the planet,
00:49marching against tribes they called Barbarians.
00:51But their guide was a traitor.
00:53He led them straight into a perfectly planned ambush
00:55in the dense, dark forest.
00:56Trapped and unable to form up,
00:58their discipline meant nothing.
00:59Three of Rome's best legions were annihilated.
01:02A defeat so bad, the emperor supposedly screamed,
01:04Give me back my legions.
01:06So remember, in war, it's not just about
01:08who has the bigger army,
01:09it's about who makes the last mistake.
