A game based on 2008 movie The Tale of Despereaux developed by Brash Entertainment and published by Sensory Sweep Studios.
In the library, Despereaux stumbles upon a book that interest him enough to read it. He was in awe upon reading the "once upon a time" word on the book much to Furlough's chagrin. Furlough told his younger brother that he was supposed to eat the book's papers instead of reading as proof that Despereaux is a mouse not a human. When Furlough left the library to go back home, Despereaux didn't take Furlough's warning seriously and keep reading the book of fairy tale when he heard a sound that he had never heard before. He follows the sound and there...he saw the princess from the story he read, sleeping and he wanted to greet the princess but he needs to find a way to get closer to her and wake her up.
00:09You're not supposed to read it, Despero. You're supposed to eat it.
00:13I'll meet you back at home in an hour and no reading.
00:17I'm serious, Despero. It's a rule.
00:19You'll get in a lot of trouble. And when I say trouble, I mean the Mouse Council.
00:24Eat, not read. Got it. Bye, Furlough.
00:27Bye!
00:28But Despero did read. He read and read.
00:32Once upon a time, there lived a princess fairer than any in any other land.
00:37But this princess was locked in the Castle of Sadness, able to see the world, but not to touch it.
00:44She longed for a prince, a brave knight who would deliver her from all of this.
00:49Someone with courage and honor and decency.
00:53Wow!
00:54Despero did devour the book, but not in the way Furlough meant.
00:58And just moments after discovering the joys of reading, he discovered a pleasure that was equally yummy.
01:04From the distant reaches of the castle, there came a sound unlike any Despero had ever heard, even with his ears.
01:12Is it the sound of magic?
01:13To him, it's as if a clear stream ran across crystalline rocks, through beautiful towering trees.
01:23We know it as music.
01:25So, Despero followed his ears.
01:30And without even knowing it, he was off on his very first quest.
01:35Our little friend was searching for music, but instead he found a human.
01:42A sleeping princess.
01:44A sad sleeping princess.
01:46The kind of sad that comes from loss.
01:48The kind of sad that spends each day gazing through the window.
01:52The kind of sad that one gets when one's heart has been broken.
02:00The princess, her name is Princess Pea, has a royal maid named Mig.
02:06Must be quiet.
02:08Miss Princess is asleep, she is.
02:11Oh, if only I could speak to her.
02:13Would it be too much if I opened the drapes to wake her up?
02:26Not that way.
02:30Huh.
02:32Huh.
02:34Huh?
02:41Hmm?
02:54Huh?
02:54Huh?
02:57Huh?
02:57Huh?
02:58Huh?
02:59Huh?
02:59Huh?
03:00Huh?
03:00Ah-ha-ha!
03:24Keep going!
03:30Here in the living quarters of the castle, Despero sees an opulence unlike any he can imagine.
03:41A beautiful, beautiful, yet somehow a very sad one.
03:48Uh-oh, uh-oh!
04:15Hang on!
04:18That hurts!
04:23Take that!
04:26Come on!
04:28Ah-ha!
04:38One can never get enough Caravaggio!
04:51You won't make it through this treacherous pass, not without some of my combat moves, which I will generously share for mere cheese and or shiny buttons.
05:02You can already do a quick attack when you jump, but with this, my friend, oh yes, you'll do a crushingly strong attack during your jump.
05:14Okay, okay, okay!
05:18Okay, okay, okay!
05:19Mmm!
05:20Ma!
05:21Ow!
05:22Hur!
05:23Ow!
05:24Hur!
05:25If the princess has a broken heart, so is Meg.
05:29So is Meg, sold to a cruel farmer as a child by a father unable to care for her, brought up with boxed ears and hogs for friends.
05:38Yes, Meg is happy to be in the castle.
05:41Ah!
05:42Oh, my God!
05:43Still, she'd be happier if she were princess.
05:47Oh, my God, can you think she's weak?
05:48Oh, my God, can you just come?
05:49Oh, my God, can you make me feel that happy?
05:50That's as good as you could.
05:51Oh!
05:52Oh, my God, can you even make me feel the best you're safe?
05:53Oh!
05:54I'm going to be looking for her...
05:55I'm going to be looking for her little girl.
05:56Well, for me, I don't wanna be looking for her.
05:57Oh, I'm trying to get him for the best.
05:58Oh, my God!
05:59Come on, look, I'm going to be a sword for her!
06:00Oh, my God.
06:01Huh, I'm going to be a crossword.
06:04Got you!
06:05Oh!
06:06Oh, man.
06:07Oh.
06:08I'm going to be a girl.
06:09Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
06:39Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
07:03It's dark in here.
07:04The sadness of the room is the sadness of the kingdom.
07:08The queen was a loving wife, mother, and ruler.
07:12When she died of shock one year ago, it was a blow from which the kingdom cannot seem to recover.
07:24Oops!
07:26Gotcha!
07:30Uh-oh.
07:34No, no!
07:38No, no, no!
07:43Oops!
07:52Whoa!
07:54Uh-oh!
07:55Whoa!
08:08Hmm...
08:10Uh!
08:15God!
08:17Uh!
08:18Oh, let's go.
08:31Whoa.
08:48Oh! Oh, my goodness.
08:51Huh!
09:08Ah!
09:11Ah-ha-ha!

14:53Up!
14:59Gah!
15:02Mm.
15:08Hm.
15:10Ugh! Yeah!
15:11Ah!
15:15Uh-oh! Uh-oh!
15:18Uh-oh!
15:19Ah!

16:07I'm almost there, my princess.
16:35I'm almost there, my princess.
17:05I'm almost there, my princess.
17:35At last, I can open up the curtain with a good yank and awaken the princess.
