US troops have begun arriving in Israel as part of a 200-strong multinational task force to monitor and oversee the Trump-brokered Gaza ceasefire. Led by Admiral Brad Cooper, head of US Central Command, the team will help establish a joint control center, coordinate with Israeli forces, and ensure compliance with the fragile truce.

Officials confirmed no US personnel will enter Gaza itself, while Egyptian, Qatari, Turkish, and possibly Emirati officials will also be embedded in the task force, likely based out of Egypt. The mission aims to prevent violations, oversee operations, and integrate all security forces entering Gaza during this critical phase of the ceasefire.

Tensions remain high as the first phase of the ceasefire is implemented, with tens of thousands of Palestinians moving north in Gaza and Israel partially redeploying its troops.
