00:18juice left in the tank rock and roll will always be there it's like it's always sort of been the

00:23villain but everyone wants the villain it's like batman you know he's in the shadows but everyone

00:28wants him to be there it's like the hero of music rock almost

00:32yeah it's the it's the underdog isn't it it's always it's just waiting in the wings for the

00:42the next big artist rock ain't rock ain't dead rock's got rock's got some fighting to do

00:47what what did you want this album to be did you have a vision of of how you wanted it to turn out

01:02we didn't want it just to be the straight rock rock rock rock rock you know we just wanted to try and

01:07add different things to the songs at the start we overcame a lot and and this album sort of like is

01:13an impression of what our life has been like and over the last sort of five years so there's been

01:18bad times but there's been really good times and the message of like being against the wall but

01:24breaking free from that wall and and you know being who you who you think that you're meant to

01:29be that came about quite naturally

01:31another song that has been really standing out for people is um dna i mean what what's that one

01:44written about the the music that james and the band had provided was so like intensely addicting

01:50that i had to sort of kind of try and find this metaphor for it and what i came to was dna

01:55and and that was it was in my core and it's in in the core of this album it's in the core of

02:00everything that we do we're addicted to this we i don't know if we can do much else so we got to do

02:06this and it's just an overall kind of this is what we love this is it please join us

02:12who would you say the kind of cornerstones of your sound who are the guys who you're really

02:32channeling the core people that usually is who we grew up with you know like your altar bridge

02:36um shine down blackstone cherry like um slipknot stone sour to a degree where our influence is on

02:44our sleeve you know um for me rhythmically when i'm trying to bring something and i'm coming from

02:49different angles as well i i used to listen to a lot of hip-hop um and sort of funk music so yeah

02:54there's there's so many different things coming in but it's at its core it's modern melodic rock you

02:59know we don't particularly want to just you know copy it and um almost like we've stolen someone's

03:06homework kind of thing you know we want to make sure that we we're just it's just seen as an

03:10influence we have some catching up to do so our plans to get three years of touring in one year

03:26basically and we're going to try and hit the roads try and get as many kind of missed opportunities

03:32um as we can you know the world has to pause right now to to keep as many people safe and but the

03:38moment the government and everyone lets us go we are we are we're going to do what the beatles done

03:42back in the day they just they just played like 200 shows a year just gonna make up for lost time

03:48get out there have some fun because it's been a uh tough time on everyone including ourselves

03:54including all of all of the watchers and and we just want to give some joy we have joy to give

03:59we just want to give we just want to give
