Bristol Rovers Head Coach Darrell Clarke has spoken on managing injuries throughout the course of the season, whilst Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Brad Young was happy to be back playing for the Gas in the EFL Trophy.

00:00Bristol Rovers head coach Darrell Clark has spoken on how the Gats are managing their injuries this season.

00:07Yeah, it's a whole season project, you're going to pick up injuries through the course of the season

00:13and then it's rehabbing them right, I'm really pleased with my medical team now,

00:17we've got the football club and doing things right so they get them as fit as quickly as possible

00:22when they do get injured, it's part and parcel of the game, every manager up and down the country

00:26will always have four or five injuries in the camp, we're trying to limit those, we try and manage load

00:32and it's pleasing that that game on Tuesday night at Cheltenham was a good opportunity to get those lads important minutes.

00:41Was it important to get, it's always important to win any match isn't it,

00:44but after the frustrations of the weekend to get straight back out there and get the positive result?

00:49You've got to win your next game isn't it, we were disappointed with the second half on Saturday,

00:53the first half was tremendous, second half nowhere near the standard we'd want to be at

01:00but then the response Tuesday in the next game and you know you take it to the next game

01:04so you know it's a tough game leading into MK Dons but it's nice to go into it on the back of winning the trophy.

01:12And Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Brad Young was happy to be back between the sticks for the Gats

01:17in their AFL trophy match away at Cheltenham Town.

01:21Yeah, no definitely, I think when I'd done it was unfortunate, it was just after the Newport game

01:28and I always had that in my mind, I wanted to play the game in the Virtue Trophy

01:33so yeah it was nice to get back, I've recovered pretty well, I've felt alright, I haven't really

01:41touched wood, I haven't had no sort of repercussions of anything or I haven't had no real setbacks

01:48so it's been pretty smooth sailing, so yeah it was nice to get a game in yeah.

01:52And I suppose, especially this first bit of the season when you've got all these international breaks

01:56and obviously knowing Luke's away, it's a great opportunity for you.

01:59No definitely yeah, I think when obviously when I signed here I knew Luke was coming in

02:04and we were just going to have a go, make each other better every week and I know when Luke goes away

02:10it's my time to step up and obviously try and follow on from the good work he's been doing.
