The story follows Yuko, a mystery novelist who receives a letter from one of her readers, Ms. Kubo, describing strange noises and eerie occurrences in her apartment — scratching sounds, footsteps, and the feeling of an unseen presence. Intrigued, Yuko begins investigating the case, only to uncover a disturbing history connected to the building.
